As noted yesterday, this distributive, fluid, and dynamic Full Moon enlarging our vision through practical productivity falls at 8 degrees of Pisces and Virgo. This Lunation, helping us integrate our power and greet new views, unexpected or unusual communications, and activity at a distance, occurs February 25 at 12:26 pm PST, 3:26 pm EST, and 8:26 pm Greenwich (UT).
Now we take a look at the rising signs around the world. The Lunation finds 1 Cancer rising in Santa Monica, 9 Cancer in Vancouver, 15 Leo in Montreal, and 9 Leo in Washington DC, showing (from west to east) early Cancer through mid-Leo as the rising signs across North America. We move east where we find 21 Leo rising in Rio, 3 Libra in Lisbon, 9 Libra in London, 18 Libra in Berlin, 28 Libra in Sofia, 23 Scorpio in Johannesburg, and 4 Scorpio in Moscow.
Moving into Asia and Oceana, we find the Ascendants to be 12 Sagittarius in Abbottabad (Feb 26), 18 Sagittarius in New Delhi, 26 Sagittarius in Trivandrum, 26 Capricorn in Hong Kong, 19 Aquarius in Tokyo, 17 Aquarius in Perth, 12 Pisces in Melbourne, 18 Pisces in Brisbane, 6 Aries in Wellington , and 15 Taurus rising on Maui.
So you can construct a rough chart for where you are in the world, I’ll give you the rounded up degree for each planet. Use the Ascendants given above to get a rough sense of what’s on the eastern horizon where you are, and using an Equal House system, you can see what’s going on in your part of the world for the next 4 weeks.
In this Full Moon with the Sun at 8 Pisces and the Moon at 8 Virgo, Mercury is 20 Pisces retrograde, Venus is 30 Aquarius, Mars is 19 Pisces, Jupiter is 8 Gemini, Saturn is 12 Scorpio retrograde, Uranus is 7 Aries, Neptune is 3 Pisces, Pluto is 12 Capricorn, TransPluto is 30 Leo, Chiron is 10 Pisces, and the NN is 20 Scorpio.

Those around the world who will definitely feel effects of this Full Moon are the places where it falls near the angles of the chart. Places on our list where the Lunation is near the angles and activating energies powerfully are (Sun/Moon): Maui, Santa Monica and Vancouver (MC/IC), Montreal and Rio (Dsc/Asc), Johannesburg, Moscow, Abbottabad, and New Delhi (IC/MC), and Tokyo, Perth, Melbourne, and Brisbane (Asc/Dsc).
Full Moons heighten feelings, due to the opposition of the Moon and the Sun. This particular Lunation uses that opposition to make a very powerful T-Square between the Sun and Moon and the expansive and restless Jupiter in Gemini, throwing the void into early Sagittarius. This will help release the focused Jupiter energy created by the Yod, or Finger of God, in December. Communications are at the forefront of activity these next two weeks, so step up the interactions, both within you and with others.
Jupiter and Neptune rule the Sun, while the Moon is ruled by Mercury. This makes the aspects between these planets very powerful as backdrops to this Lunation. With Mercury and Jupiter accented, communications are the main focus of this Full Moon. As Mercury makes no aspects to Jupiter or Neptune, and Jupiter is separating square to Neptune, it shows that the interrelationships between the dispositors of this Lunation are all in the past.
Due to Saturn being a dispositor of Venus and Pluto, and being one of the nozzles focusing the energy of the Bucket configuration in play during these months, it intensifies the prominence of Scorpio energies. We continue to be put in touch with a deeper reality, or a deeper feeling of connection with others as well as our own emotional depth.
This one is enormously productive in fostering elimination of the old and regeneration of magnetism to attract what is needed in the now-future. We are creating voids in all life areas influenced by Scorpio, Capricorn, and Aquarius, and over the next few months while Saturn is retrograde, will be raising our interactions to much higher levels of refinement and culture.
We are now moving forward into a period of rapid discoveries of more adaptable futures, different ways of communicating, new truths, new magnetism, and a greater faith that if we do what must be done we shall receive the nourishment we need from cooperating with Nature. Here we operate on multiple life levels while exploring the natural laws behind outer workings. Keep learning to enjoy the experience of a deeper connection with a larger reality and larger love, and as your faith shows you simple natural efforts that can bring you what will nourish you, do that and your trust in life will be rewarded.
Is the Sun Following the Moon, or the Moon Following the Sun?
This is the ninth Full Moon where the Sun falls in the subsequent sign to the Sun at the previous New Moon. This is the next step in a reversal of what we experienced between September 2010 and June 2011. We last had this sequence of Full Moon Suns in different signs than the previous New Moon from July 2009 through September 2010. Since then, we’ve had a sequence of the New Moon Sun being in the same sign as the next Full Moon Sun. As I've explained in previous Full Moon articles,
... the Full Moon being in a subsequent sign than the previous New Moon indicates that what is released as realizations in the Full Moon period actually "prepares the ground" for the coming New Moon seed. Strange reversal of function, since you would think the New Moon provides the seed for the next Full Moon. But this set of Lunations works the opposite way....Another way to look at this is the Sun sign of the Full Moon is the same as and precedes the Sun sign of the next New Moon, reversing the usual way Lunations work. So the fulfillment of the Full Moon sets up the next "seed" to be revealed at the next New Moon....
So Sept 2010 through June 2011 we had the New Moon Sun in the same sign as the subsequent Full Moon Sun every month. From July 2011 the pattern continued, but the New Moon began to fall at the end of the month, with the Full Moon in the middle of the next month. Even though the New Moon Sun was in the same sign as the Full Moon Sun, the seeds were set into motion at the end of a month, with Full Moon activity beginning the middle of the next month.
This shifted in May-June 2012, when we had a New Moon at 1 Gemini in late May, a Full Moon at 15 Gemini-Sag in early June, and another New Moon at 29 Gemini in late June. That began the current sequence of the New Moon Sun at the end of one sign, with the following Full Moon Sun in the next sign.
So June 2012 began our current reversed experience from the “normal” New Moon-Full Moon cycle. We’ve been having an illuminated form shown to us at the Full Moon, followed by the Sun being in the same sign as the previous Full Moon. This is fulfillment followed by similar Solar seeds of potential while reversing the natural process.
So we’re still experiencing the New Moon Sun in a different sign than the following Full Moon Sun. The December 13, 2012 New Moon Sun was at 22 Sagittarius, while the next Full Moon Sun was at 8 Capricorn. The January 11, 2013 New Moon Sun was at 22 Capricorn, while the next Full Moon Sun was at 8 Aquarius. The February 10, 2013 New Moon Sun was at 22 Aquarius, while this Full Moon Sun is at 8 Pisces.
This “reversed Sun sign” phenomenon will continue until August 2013, when we will have a New Moon at 15 Leo on August 6-7, and a Full Moon Sun at 29 Leo on August 20-21. This will restore the “natural” order of Lunation Suns, offering us seeds shown in the first half, fulfillment in the second half.
The Sabian Symbols for the Full Moon
This Full Moon falls at 8 Virgo-Pisces. It is said that the first third (decan) of any sign deals with the actional, physical, material levels of life, and being the first decan of those signs, invokes a sub-influence of those signs, Virgo and Pisces.
Since the Moon always focuses the light of the Sun in specific forms, the degree symbols for both are important. The Sun degree is the illumination or enlightenment of the Lunation, whereas the Moon shows us the potential forms that enlightenment will take. Though I’ve given you a sense of what this is about up to now, here’s where we go into detail.
The Solar degree symbol for the 8th degree of Pisces is “A girl blowing a bugle.”Rudhyar says this is a degree of “Fullness of life as it manifests in service to the whole,” “Spiritual socialization,” and “call to participation in the race work.”
In the Mandala he goes on to say this is a degree of "a call to participation in the service of the race, as an evolutionary crisis approaches,” and states this symbol is about “the emotional relationship between the individual and the collectivity of human beings.” He continues that this is about “a new race of human beings may well be slowly unfolding some of its potential of consciousness and fulfillment.”
He says “The individual who envisions this evolutionary development ‘sounds the call.’ He or she is both seer-herald and mutant... both an individual true to (their) original nature and a dedicated person – dedicated to the future he or she holds in latency as does a seed in mutation.” We are told this is “a new form of consecration of the individual to the Whole,” where “tomorrow acts through today,” summoning us to rebirth.
So the illumination available via this Full Moon is through the Light of hearing a call to renew some part of our life, and/or herald coming developments for a collectivity. He states this degree falls in the Span of Innocence, Act of Capitalization, and Scene of Federation on the Emotional-Cultural level.
Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, says this is a degree of “the self-perfecting required for the many different forms of (our) participation” with others as we “discharge group responsibilities.” Here our personalities must make some “special modification” as a basis for our fulfillment. He says “the individual challenges (others) and is challenged by them in turn at each recurring point of special potentiality.”
He offers the keyword SUMMONS. He goes on to state that when operating positively, the degree is “an eagerness for self-expression and an alertness to every opportunity for self-justification.”
The Lunar degree symbol for the 8th degree of Virgo is “First dancing instruction.” Rudhyar says this is a degree of “early social conditioning of the superior elements of being,” “proper start in self-discipline,” and “conventional development.”
In the Astrological Mandala, he goes on to say that this degree is about “learning to use one’s capacity for emotional self-expression according to cultural standards.” He goes on to state this “process of emotional experiencing under controlled situation is shown now to demand self-induced, active movement; yet the movements are still conditioned, if not totally determined, by cultural and thus collective patterns,” where “the individual can express (their) individual character only according to traditional modes.”
He says this symbol offers us new perspectives, and is a “transitional phase which may lead to mastery” where our consciousness is “still dominated by some form of authority.” We also read that this phase is about “entering the level of conscious (adulthood)… where there is the “potentiality of initiation.” He says this degree falls in the Span of Idealization, Act of Stabilization, and Scene of Characterization on the Emotional-Cultural level.
So this third degree synthesis symbol shows the form of this Full Moon involves active self-discipline where we could train in order to enter into a higher level of cultural interaction. It offers us a chance to refine who we are and how we do our Being, with precision and determination leading us into new realms of self-expression.
Dr. Jones says this is a degree of “the self-perfecting required for the many different forms” of our participating in experience with others, “illustrated here in a potential excellence of special skill.” He states “the dance of life includes infinite versions of its rhythm and provides illimitable variations on the theme of its melody, but there must be some specific encouragement of individual ability as a stimulus to effective endeavor.”
He finishes with saying that it’s always necessary to have an “initial trial of self which in time leads to a continuity of effort.” He offers us the keyword ASSISTANCE. He states that when operating in a positive manner, this degree “is achievement through a personal competence and a high gift for co-operation.
From these symbols it seems we can see the light of hearing a call to “life’s renewal” or some other form of heralding “tomorrow acting through today” giving us a “summons” to a dynamic form of self-expression expressed through the disciplines of self-perfection and cultivating special skills appropriate to our individuality. This is the Light of renewed service to a greater cause of Whole expressed through a precise expression of skill within a social or cultural setup.
Important inner and outer communications are promised by this Full Moon, as well as new vision, truths and a greater freedom to cut loose from old limitations. Just don’t go overboard and show a little restraint and discrimination as you let go of the past and strengthen your feeling of connectedness with others. This feeling magnetism shows who our Soul-group really is. There are “alchemical fires” burning at the core of our being, showing us deep inner changes that will express as new elements of being.
One important thing to note. In previous Full Moon charts, Neptune was direct and EXACTLY opposed to TransPluto, the planet symbolizing Divine Mother Energy. That is one factor in why things have been so incredibly polarized, teaching humanity compassion and the need for Viveka, or Divine Discrimination. This has offered all of us opportunities to join together in the Great Mother and realize our interrelatedness on a feeling level with All-That-Is.
The energies of Divine Mother will only grow stronger throughout this century, and these will be demonstrated each time the planets make significant aspects to TransPluto. In this chart TransPluto has slipped back into the final degree of Leo, accenting the “caring and sharing” of important knowledge. Again, the Divine Redeemer is showing us ways to release individual-spiritual energy through sharing what we deem important in selfless ways.
While Neptune has now moved on out of the exact opposition, they will again be very close between August and November 2013 when TransPluto again is in early Virgo and Neptune is in early Pisces. The only important forming aspect to TransPluto in this chart is the Venus exact opposition, showing that “Divine Mother energy” can be perfectly expressed through Venus.
Important extremely close separating aspects, showing Divine “Redemptive-Compassion” lessons and expressions just experienced, include Saturn quintile and Uranus biquintile TransPluto. This continues the pattern from the last Full Moon that had forming Saturn quintile and Uranus biquintile aspects to TransPluto.
That generated a 5-pointed Star pattern that involved 17-19 Gemini, 29 Leo-1 Virgo, 11-13 Scorpio, 23-25 Capricorn, and 5-7 Aries. We still have Saturn, Uranus, and TransPluto in three of those zones, so expect unique circumstances and special gifts when the Moon is in mid-Gemini and late Capricorn. Obviously, if you have a planet or point in any of these zones, you will be blessed in unique ways. (And just wait till Jupiter crosses the Gemini zone in late April and early May! Events related to this period will explode then!)
Over the past few months, with Saturn, Uranus, and TransPluto filling in 3 points of a Great Quintile, we’ve had “quintessential” conditions that offered special gifts and circumstances to anyone with planets near any of these 5 zones. This has introduced some very specialized opportunities, and brought “Divine Mother energy” into the magnetics of situations helping us all transcend limitations. Those who have cultivated interactive compassion and/or intuition have and will continue to find themselves attracted to situations of larger influence, if subtle or behind the scenes.
A brief note on the larger Era. We approach the end of the TransPluto (Percephone, Parvati) in Leo era that we’ve known since September 20, 1935. Since October, 2011, we’ve been a transition period where this planet will dance at the last degree of Leo and first degree of Virgo through July 5, 2014.
As it’s back at the final degree of Leo, enjoy this penultimate period before the transition to a different transitional Era. After then we enter the TransPluto in Virgo era that will last through July, 2107, when it leaves Virgo for good and re-enters Libra for the last time, also after a few years of dancing on the cusp of Virgo and Libra.

So Ur Highness, to get a handle on our charts...do we go by our ascendent, solar or, like u said S.Monica is Cancer ascendent. If I go to Astrodienst is there a certain chart I would boot up to get a clear pic on this?

Blowing my mind! I have Pluto 1` Virgo , cusp of 2nd house, Moon 4` Pisces, 8ht, Neptune 2` Scorp, conjunct NN 28 Libra. Never a trial too difficult! Will it get better? Will mine enemies come to the light - face retribution? Can we take anymore? Well, truthfully, the air is lighter, the pain duller, the thought stream, navigable most of the time. At least, I can't get any [monetarily] poorer, and getting spiritually richer! A lot of problematic leaders disappearing too, yeah! Thanks for all the guidance... Thank-you, thank-you!
