Mars entered Aries about 30 hours ago. This begins a tsunami of activity!
Mars is the first planet to enter Aries in 2013. This initiates a new type of energy that will prove to be much different than the massive Pisces field we’ve had. This jumpstarts Aries energy wherever we have it, and initiates a new pulse to any planets we have in that sign.
It heralds what should be fairly rapid developments in the weeks to come. Cardinal Fire of Aries initiates activity of itself, without waiting around for permission or signals. So it’s definitely time to act on your own initiative!
Whatever comes down while Mars transits early Aries will begin to be powered up when the Sun enters Aries at the Vernal (Spring) Equinox on March 20 at 4:02 am PDT, 7:02 am EDT, 11:02 am Greenwich. That will give vitality and Light Force to the initiatives Mars is setting into motion.
The Sun will conjunct Mars on April 17-18 at 28 Aries, so expect to feel that forming Sun conjunct Mars between the Equinox and mid-April as the span between these two planets gets smaller and smaller. There’s tremendous power in that aspect, so get it in gear (while not being impulsive, headstrong, abrasive, or unnecessarily impatient!)
Venus enters Aries about 40 hours after the Equinox, and also forms conjunctions with both the Sun and Mars. It conjuncts the Sun on March 28-29 at the exact point when both conjunct Uranus at 9 Aries! That sets a year cycle into motion connected to the houses these occupy and rule in our charts.
Then Venus continues, conjuncting Mars on April 6-7 at 20 Aries. This is followed by the New Moon at 21 Aries on April 10 at 2:25 am PDT, 5:25 am EDT, 10:25 am Greenwich. That will initiate a focus on all the previous conjunctions in Aries, and renew the pulses set into motion between March and May 2011 when multiple conjunctions to Jupiter in Aries set a new 12 year cycle into motion.
Obviously this will give greater power to Aries energy, either blocking or braking the ongoing Pluto in Capricorn energy. Keep balanced, keep a sense of perspective, keep your eye on what’s needed and what’s not, and go with the new, original, innovative, and pioneering.
A lot will be set into motion over the next few weeks. Go with the rising tide, let go of the past and leap into action. See it all as an experiment in learning natural laws, remember that things are quickening so don’t be ambivalent when opportunity beckons, and to repeat myself, get it in gear!!

It brought me flu and fever - mashup in Pisces and hot Aries! I am honestly never comfortable with planets in my Aquarius-Pisces-Aries upper left quadrant.

So why is my energy so low? I feel so depleted lately and was really counting on Mars to give me a jolt...

Thanks for the "warning". As we become conscious of what is happening we can make the most of it.
Best,
Nic

Thank God!

My 8th house is co ruled by aries and my 9th house is ruled by aries. I have to kick someone out of my house due to the fact that they almost burned us alive. If no one had been home the house would have gone up in flames and if we had all been asleep we could have died.

Hi all - To compare notes, Mars in Aries brought the flare up of an old hip injury and my extremely old Aries cat took a turn for the worse.
Hi Lainie - Mars and/or Aries is often associated with fevers. I have Mars in Aries and as a child had several bouts of flu where the fevers were very high.
Hi Andi - Saturn is probably square or opposition something. Mars should help jumpstart something when it gets within orb.
Hi Nic - Well, I sense the tide has turned (election of Pope Francis being only one of several indicators) but with so much Pisces still so strong, it's a time of endings and beginnings.
Hi Angela - I agree, even given what I explained is happening to me in the first paragraph.
Hi Micheline - Glad you were there for a quick response. Kicking an idiot out is definitely the best thing to do. Those who cannot manage fire should not be allowed to play with it.

Hope you feel much better, Robert, and that your cat isn't suffering either. I'm hoping the equinox will settle things down a bit - feels like the universe is disorganized right now.

Robert, thank you for your response. Saturn is in fact opposing the south node in my chart (which is in the 12th house). And I have been experiencing a resurfacing and release of some past issues. Mars was conjunct my sun right before moving into Aries, and I was so looking forward to a highly energized time, but it seems to have manifested as a release of anger instead. Interesting.
Hope you feel better soon and your cat isn't suffering. Healing thoughts go out to both of you

Isn't Jupiter in Gemini? How are they conjunct in Aries? Am I missing something?

I have Mars in Aries also, at 9 degrees, in the fifth house. Gee, Robert, I hope your cat is ok. One of my cats is looking older -- getting that scrawny neck old cat look. Makes me sad.
But... I am so anticipating my Mars return, and the grand cross sparking it off into outer space.
