Mercury and the Sun have both set the Grand Irrationality into motion over the past week, and now are approaching the almost simultaneous trine to Uranus and square to Saturn. What does this mean?
First, it means they’ve already set some things into motion this past week that will ultimately affect everyone’s destiny in some important ways. We’ll be seeing manifestations of these as Jupiter triggers the Grand Irrationality over the next few weeks. These are fiery winds of change!
The impending trines of Sun and Mercury culminate Friday and Saturday, immediately followed by both square Saturn the same days. This is great for inventiveness and innovative approaches that curb something difficult impending as indicated by Saturn. Open to unique possibilities that can help put the brakes on corrosive or binding situations. Take the leap and then turn the corner!
This obviously will benefit any planets or angles we have around 15-19 Aries, Gemini, Leo, Libra, Sagittarius, and Aquarius, though we may have to work it to maximum productivity and stabilization given the simultaneous friction generated by Saturn. Still, Saturn can be the release energy that helps us put the brakes on a pattern, or shift the energy to a different direction.
By the same token, this will challenge any planets or angles we have around 15-19 Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. This shows a time to let go of lesser considerations when more important things are at stake, and refuse to be bound by assumptions that may be impulsive, headstrong, corrosive, or impure.
Of course, the quincunx between Saturn and Uranus continues to dominate the landscape, just as it has the past 7 weeks. Hard adjustments everywhere, need for correction through sacrifice everywhere, and productivity that is helping a lot that’s been repressed blow up and out. I spoke about this gear grind energy in the recent New Moon articles.
So while innovation and unique views and approaches are favored, it’s still a very heavy time when hard lessons are being faced and hard decisions are being made. It sure seems a lot of loss, destruction, and death are in the air. And there are many ways these things can play out, even as none of it feels very good right now.
Keep it simple and detached as you experiment with approaches that open rather than close, and that lead to freedom rather than a sense of oppression by stagnant feelings and corrosive people and situations. Movement is better than standing still, and finding a broader approach is better than staying stuck in corrosive ruts during this time of total irrationality and compulsions fueled by willfulness running wild. And opening to a new life always means saying goodbye to an old one.
