Today is a first of sorts. I'm composing an Aquarius Papers post from Sag Harbor, a never-done-before thing. It's only possible because I'm using some great new software. Anyway, I am still jetlagged and so today will reflect on some things. Coming in from JFK airport, I got to see the Harvest Full Moon in all its golden beauty against the moving clouds over the east end of Long Island. This Full Moon ushers in two weeks of closure and fulfillment as we are all educated to be led out into a world of activity we may not initially comprehend. It is a benediction to do one's own thing in one's own way, and not expect others to react as you would. It's also a time of goodbyes, since we must part company with obsolete people and behaviors to make psychic space before entering into an unknown future.
This is a remarkable Full Moon due to its large size, biggest of the year, the final lunation of Summer, presaging Autumn's beginning on September 22, 6:24 pm EDT. I suppose the best possible way to position yourself is to be willing to let go of fear and clutching when unknowns present themselves. It is the end of an old way, the in-between time before a new beginning, so hang out with the deep feelings and polish your way of being of service before it's time to embrace the new.
At this point, it seems like a difficult period is over for many that I know, and quite a few stand on the threshold of fantastic new developments. Recent decisions to bring forth a greater truth in our life has set things into dynamic motion. This would be indicated by the recent Venus square Saturn and trine Uranus showing recent developments in our past, individually and collectively. Sometimes a square puts the brakes on an old planetary manifestation, which can be a good thing if the old way was not good.
As an aside, Ronald Reagan, known as the "teflon president" because nothing bad ever seemed to stick to him, used to do his crucial press releases (and everything else, apparently!) using astrology for his timing. The interesting thing I noted at the time was that it seemed as though he could use critical squares and oppositions to reverse a negative course of events, turning them to his own benefit. In my own chart, I have found that many critical decisons that turned out favorably for me were made during critical squares.
Another example of how to take an unusual look at astrological aspects at work is to see the square plus trine mentioned above that are just separating as symbolizing recent past events in New Orleans. The square to Saturn shows the dysfunction of the systems in place, and the trine to a planet in Pisces shows the harmony of oceanic wave forms bringing unusual events to individualize the entity impacted, in this case a city, a region, and a nation. Unexpectedly large (Uranus) humanitarian outpouring (Pisces) is also shown by the trine to Uranus in Pisces.
Although squares and oppositions often do bring challenges and reversals, they also bring awareness and possibility of acting in a dynamic way to change the course of event to our ultimate benefit. That is why we must find the right way to act, regardless of whether our stars tell us we are having it easy or hard. We can cultivate a beneficial future even in the midst of difficult events if we just find the right point of view, find the right time to act or not act the best we're able, and set forces into motion for the future rather than bewail our "fate" in the present. Finding a greater perspective and understanding of the larger flow of events in our lives can assist us in embracing a much better future. And it is not productive to clutch at an unsatisfactory past now receding into our rearview mirrors, whether we want them to or not.
In this time of opposition due to the on-going Seesaw pattern, remember not to get tossed here and there by feelings, limitations, responsibilities, and opposing forces in your life. All the oppositions are teaching you how to be more fluid in how you position yourself in the midst of rapidly changing events, so that you don't get stuck in a limited view that only creates fear, pain or suffering. We will be dealing with Seesaw energies for a long time to come, off and on during the year. And mostly, at this time in history, when we're not in a Seesaw we're trying to find a new or better focus for what we have and are.
In any case, this is a time for flexibility, adaptability, and education in ways to express love toward yourself and others. It is a time when the Cosmic Healer shows us all the way to healing our minds, our feelings, and our actions so that we can be more forgiving, more allowing of a larger spaciousness to enter our lives. This is a time to grow naturally into a greater ideal and effectiveness, preparing for a role yet to come.
If you missed the article, Life Is A Rhythmic Dance, you may want to take a new look at it in light of changing events. It may help you dance with the changes and find a way beyond confusion, doubt, and fear, or help another. Also this one on the three types of karmic storm zones and how to position yourself when going through one or more of them. Mahalo!
