Today’s post from The Magic of Space will prove to be of interest to my readers on a healing path, whether healing themselves or healing others as a function of their worldly work and spiritual service. From Chapter 27, "Group Work," comes this gem:
It should be noted here that in true "group work," the highest phase of the work is that done between groups of disciples and groups of Devas, the groups of various Beings from the higher planes of existence. [Deva in Sanskrit is roughly equivalent to Angel in English - RW]
All is One - the Path is One, Truth is One, the Masters are, indeed, One in the Cosmic in perception and illumination; yet each with a perfected technique peculiarly adapted to the mental, psychic and spiritual constitutions of the Initiates who seek their aid. Service is the keynote of the group, and service on the Path means service because one wants to, and must, serve. The service, however, is not necessarily occult in character; the disciples of the Masters are just as likely to be found engaged in political, social and economic fields, as in spiritual and religious. The act of service on the Path releases the power of the Soul...
To explain Devas to the general public is a difficult problem. Suffice it to say that Devas are intelligent centers of energy taking many forms. The vast majority are invisible, though we see their work all around us in physical-plane existence. They are grouped into "armies," and are under the direction of agencies that have special evolutionary work to do in connection with our planet and this planet's humanity.
When the individual has acquired a certain quality of love, these Devas will co-operate with him. They respond only to love, not intellectual power. The healing Devas make possible so-called miraculous cures. Their ranks are vast, and cover many areas of knowledge yet unknown to the average man. All physical matter is composed of Deva substance, for example. [chitta in Sanskrit - RW] Intelligence exists in everything. Atomic science will radically change when the secret of atomic fusion is found to replace atomic fission.
Man's destructive efforts will be replaced by constructive endeavors. For this reason we must awaken to the power of love, the belief in Deity, and the belief in ourselves if we are to win the battle against atheism. Science is a tool for good or evil. The battle between rank materialism of the mind and the soul of man is enjoined. Science is the weapon both sides find available, by study and application. We urge scientists of the West to study occultism with new eyes, and hearts filled with love - if not for the unknown, then for humanity itself.
