Reflecting on some vast cycles of time, I note that we are within a span that only happens about once every 5 centuries or so, with a few variations. The outer planets, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto, move very slowly, and correlate with larger spans of human history. They are symbols of greater change across generations, and across centuries. Which sign they are in shows what is revolutionizing, what is dissolving, and what is purifying across humanity as a whole. When they all are within a certain span, it seems that interesting changes and mutations in social-cultural manifestations occur more than at other times.
Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and Cancer are the first four signs, and represent the span of Personal experience. Leo, Virgo, Libra, and Scorpio are the second four signs, and represent the span of Interpersonal experience. Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces are the final four signs, and represent the span of Transpersonal experience.
Every few hundred years, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto all occupy the closing span of signs, which are also the "Harvest" third of the zodiacal sequence. Important things have happened historically when even two of these planets occupy the harvest third of experience, and great movements of history occur when all three are in the final third of signs of the zodiac.
Since the mid-1990's. all three of the invisible Outer Triad have been in the span between Sagittarius and Pisces, portending important changes for the human race as a whole, which of course affects each of us as individuals. That's a big reason why things seem so awesome right now, and why it's important to put Spirit before matter, and forms of Self-realization that result in a greater sense of At-One-Ment ahead of distractive fragmented interests. We are all in process of becoming a greater Wholeness than we've known before.
We are all learning to see with an integrated vision, however we are able. Holistic philosophy may still be in its infancy, but nonetheless it is the foundation of a unified view of the process of creating, preserving, and transforming the various manifestations of our lives, on many levels. We truly are shifting perspectives about time, space, matter, energy, and the manifestations of the world.
I'll try to explore some of the larger transitions the entire world is going through in future Big Picture articles. Aum Namah Shivaya.

Could you please discuss the upcoming eclipses in September 2006? As a Pisces sun, Cap rising & Leo moon, I'm quite interested.
Thanks

Robert:
What a great article and insights. I'll be looking forward to more on this. The conjunction of science and spirit seems to be happening in the minds of many people despite the current widening violence.

Hi Robert,
Thanks for pointing this out. You've helped me see the astrological reason for the evolution we'er going through.
How do you think the Precession of the Equinoxes ties in, since it goes in the opposite direction, from the first three signs into the last three signs, from the persoanl to the transpersonal?

Hi Susan - what you've asked is worthy of an article of its own. I'll try to figure out something to post that makes sense next week. For now, it's my wedding anniversary, and I'm out of town for a few days.

In 2008 looks like all three are in the last 3 signs, the U.S. will have a new president, perhaps the beginning of "new" and hopeful events. No retrogrades until May either...a good start for a new time.

Hi Michelle - It was great! Thanks for the wishes.
Hi Joseph - The Invisibles will continue to be in the harvest sector through March 2011, except for June, July, and part of August 2010. Unfortunately, I do not anticipate much in the way of new and hopeful events, due to irrevocable forces of change, economic and environmental, that have been cut loose by the current illegal administration.
We have at least 2 of the outer Triad retrograde between June and November 2008, the heart of the election season. I believe this indicates that forces beyond individual control will be in play, and with the election coinciding with an exact Saturn opposed Uranus T-squared by Venus and sextile-trine Jupiter with Mars square Neptune, while there will be practical changes, the moneyed power players will still determine the agenda. The political deck is stacked in favor of the connected and wealthy insiders.

Hey Michelle,
I find the political events of the day scary.....the roof is caving in and it's business as usual.

Hi Joseph - The system thrives on fear. That's why we must learn to think in the future, and examine how we can move toward a sustainable reality, given what's coming. The global community is finding each other, and cooperation will be essential so that by pulling together we can hopefully achieve something greater than we could ever build separately.
