Mercury Retrograde Astrology - Why Do Inferior Conjunctions Only Happen During Mercury Retrograde?

"Inferior conjunctions" only occur when Mercury's apparent backward retrograde motion brings it to a conjunction with the Sun. Mercury, symbolizing Mental Coordination, and the Sun, the Life principle itself, do a unique dance. Each year they conjunct 3 times in a "Superior" conjunction, when Mercury is faster than the Sun, and 3 times in an "Inferior" conjunction, when Mercury is retrograde. These each have importance in the relationship of Life to Mind in our yearly affairs. Dear Robert,
Thank you for your insights. You are spot on, it's been two long years of eliminating people and things that no longer reflect who I am. The slate is quite clean. Your correct, there have been many shifts in values and relationships in my life. Since I have not been able to work, resources have trickled in enough to keep me going. Hopefully financial flow will increase from me soon.
Even though I have limited knowledge with astrology, your posts are uplifting and informative and I look forward to reading them daily.

Hi Donna - Yes, it's the beginning of the meltdown and the end of the Bush era except for the fascist and hypocritical Supreme Court. The regressives may try to keep the ocean back with their brooms, but there are things in motion and injustice will be addressed one way or another, since no one likes things to be unfair except the privileged. But eventually the dinosaurs die while life moves on....
