As long time members of this community know, today is the most sacred day of the year for me when I honor the death of one who was closer to me than my own breath. 21 years ago today my life shattered into a million pieces, forcing me to walk a walk no one should have to endure, but millions do with millions more added each year. Because of my willingness to embrace my quest for healing, I am a stronger, more compassionate man for the experience, and found in the journey that with time and effort we can heal the grief we feel from the death of a loved one.

Each Mercury Retrograde period is unique, yet related to other Mercury Retrograde periods, usually because the sign element of Mercury is closely related to those of past Mercury retrograde periods. In 2008 we had three in Gemini, Aquarius, and Libra, offering an Air trine where we reconsidered many ideals, ideas, relationships, remembrances, and perspectives from different angles of vision. Written at a PhD level of comprehensibility, it may take a while to chew on some of its pithier assertions, but it does open the door to profound thought and ways to move out of the economic and social assumptions creating the global mess we're in, regardless of what continent we live on.
