Spiritual Astrology in April-May-June 2009 Pt. 1 - Uranus and Neptune in Unknown Zones as Pluto Shows Seeds of Spiritual Techniques

In the Spiritual Astrology series, we explore transcendent factors of the outer planets creating fields within which we demonstrate our Higher Self as we stand individually and collectively at the threshold of a new era. Today we explore the quality of the larger fields, what we are being taught, and how to cooperate with All-That-Is.

The Pluto Effect for April-May-June 2009

The backstory: In 2008, Pluto moved through the end of Sagittarius, with the focus at 29 Sag. That degree was its RX station in Spring 2007, beginning a process that got us all "in shape." In November-December 2007 it moved out of the last degrees of Sag and entered the first degrees of Capricorn in January 2008. This marked a moment of cosmic shift, since we hadn't experienced this span of degrees in 250 years, mas o menos.

It went retrograde at 2 Capricorn on April 2, 2008, then retraced its span in early Cap through mid-June, when it re-entered Sag for the last time in this 250 year cycle. It RX'd back to 29 Sag and went direct in early September, and re-entered Capricorn in late November. It then retraced its path through the first two degrees of Capricorn and has been in an "unknown zone" since late January.

When retrograde, it brings us feedback from external and subconscious sources about how well we're handling our Pluto purification challenge, and come to awareness of what needs to be transformed by what seeds we glimpse in "the underworld" of inner and outer things.

Then, when Pluto goes direct in motion, we see seeds of our larger transformative purification process come forth within a vast field of core powers. You can apply this principle to all planets by adjusting according to planetary dominions.

Pluto's Capricorn lessons for 2008-09 are teaching us through activities involving crystalized power or authority, both destructive and integrative. We are seeing how cohesive our "group work" really is when in unfamiliar territory. Through forms of pleasure and "self-exploitation," we will see larger social-collective techniques to organize things more efficiently.

For the period from January 22 through late February, Pluto taught us through yearnings for new experience or by what we brought forth, for good or ill. We found "inner and pure motivation" in ways that help us transcend physical limitations through demonstrating free will and detachment.

Pluto was on its stationary degree of 4 Cap for all of March, and went stationary retrograde in early April. It will continue to accent 4 Cap all of April through May 10, after which it retrogrades back through 3 Capricorn until the Summer Solstice on June 20-21.

We first encountered the lessons of 3 Cap from late January through all of February, so April and early May will provide a review of the Pluto energies of that span. From late June through late November 2009 Pluto will finalize the Galactic Center lessons of 1 and 2 Cap before it again moves through its current occupied span.

The Neptune Effect for April-May-June 2009

The backstory: In November 2008, Neptune went stationary direct at 22 Libra, beginning the completion of "collective consciousness lessons" we began to learn back when Neptune first hit that degree in March 2007. It recently moved through 23-25 degrees of Aquarius, preparing us to move into an "unknown zone" in March 2009. Thus January and February 2009 was a time to examine once again the Neptunian experiences we've moved through the past two years.

Due to what was unveiled in 2006, in 2007 we were challenged to rise to some occasion, show our strength, and use everything at our disposal to deal with "an exaggeration of life-problems" revealing our truth and expanding us. Rewards from Spirit were reaped for moving through crises with courage and strength. The last half of 2007 began a training period of self-induced movement and self-discipline, where we learned to build adequate vehicles to demonstrate our spiritual awareness and power. Many of us found we were able to do things beyond what we believed.

We finished these conditions January 2009 and moved into the next phase of learning or teaching deep wisdom on the basis of our experiences, demonstrating dispassion and self-discipline. Mid-February through mid-March helped us be more volitional, less instinctive in how we approach problems, and find "alien ideas" that opened new choices.

Mid-March through mid-April we've been moving into new ways to demonstrate a form of Divine Power through emotional self-discipline. This will lead us to more refined feelings and spiritual or aesthetic values which link generations of seekers. It will be a time of adding to or committing to values, leading to a threshold at 27 Aquarius when Neptune goes stationary retrograde in late May. Though RX, it will continue to occupy 27 Aquarius through mid-July, retracing steps we'll begin to experience in a few days.

Another major long wave Neptunian influence involves the February 2008 Aquarius Solar Eclipse which occupied the same "unveiling" degree that Neptune activated in 2006. While before it was a vague notion, dream, or ideal (Neptune), it's now become a reality with each transit of 18 Aquarius, since Eclipses are very long range in their effects.

That could mean that a previous thing we dreaded to see, or an ideal we longed for, has begun to "unveil" itself and come to form with each transit of that degree. This had major implications for February 2009, since Sun, Mars, and Mercury transited that point, activating much that Jupiter began to expand in late March 2009.

Between late February and early September 2008, Neptune was in virgin territory on a collective consciousness level. Whenever the outers enter a zone they haven't occupied for a whole cycle, it introduces new dimensions of transpersonal experience.

Due to Neptune's transit in Jan-Feb, we got another dose of lessons involving dispassion, using experience to demonstrate intelligent responses, and "self-conquering." We had to be willing to embrace different ideas to deal with problems, both our own and others', manage and transmute our emotional-social energies, and contribute to the collective wisdom. This will prove of major importance later this year, since these are the lessons of Neptune's SD degree point in Nov-Dec 2009.

Through the first two weeks of March, 2009, we still retraced the span Neptune first explored in May-June 2008. By mid-March 2009, Neptune again entered an unknown zone of collective experience. The collective atmosphere is again experiencing new pulses for the first time in about 150 years.

The Uranus Effect for April-May-June 2009

First, the backstory: In 2007 Uranus the Individualizer brought us results from facing inner fears and becoming more physically, emotionally, and mentally ready, willing and able to move into a larger realm. We proved our worth or qualifications and received rewards, techniques of protection and camouflage, and opportunities to rehearse our new individuality in dramatic or important circumstances.

In May-June 2007, Uranus entered a zone it hadn't occupied for about 80 years, showing we were at a threshold state of discovery, revolution, and individuation. We finished the lessons begun then in December 2008.

Uranus' RX station at 19 Pisces late June 2007 dominated the Summer and Autumn of that year, releasing many from old "race" karma. We could begin to understand recent and future events with intelligence, synthesizing our previous survey of life into forms of Soul energy strengthening us physically.

Uranus retrogrades from June through November at this time in history. These retrograde periods challenge us to consolidate the awakenings in the early part of each year by internalizing them and seeing how we could become more autonomous, inventive, broad-visioned and connected to the life around us.

The overall Uranian theme of 2007-2009 has been an "instruction by our Master," and by accepting our excellence and effectiveness we have been able to move through unstable imbalances with relative ease. We have been learning to eliminate all that diverges from our special skills that ultimately are leading us to perfect and enjoy our individuality.

In 2008, beginning March-April, an "ordeal" ended. We gathered our strength and found "spiritual nourishment" opening new potentials and expanding us in ways so we could demonstrate our "success in meeting the challenge of a new order." We began to "codify new values" and were challenged to hold ourselves to our highest standards.

In May-June 2008, Uranus the Individualizer (a.k.a the Higher Law of Synthesis) continued to offer opportunities to individuate through living the new set of life standards that were emerging. Our successes since then have confirmed our new patterns.

Mid-May 2008 Uranus moved into its stationary degree where it remained through the first week of August. This degree of "a materializing medium" summoning "ghostly shapes" symbolizes our power to command the natural world by understanding and conforming to its laws. We reviewed all that preceded this degree through Uranus' Summer and Autumn RX period, then began anew new ways to apply our individual realizations when it went stationary direct in November.

In January and February 2009 we re-experienced in direct motion the lessons first introduced March-May 2008, and could see how to deal with individuation lessons we reviewed August through November 2008. By late March, Uranus entered an "unknown zone," which will lead to catharses and forms of fulfillment by mid-2009.

Uranus symbolizes our transpersonal ability to become a true individual. Since Summer 2008, we have been learning about how to display some inner powers to demonstrate our mastery of a form of life force. Those who have resisted these lessons of individualization have gone passive or felt victimized by life in some way.

In late January and early February we were challenged to cooperate with our immortal potential and give continual attention to what reality we would see made manifest to achieve a clearer picture of the results we desire. We learned individual ways of shaping our lives using Higher sensitivity to cut through confused perspectives.

The last half of February we again saw how successful we had been in meeting the challenge of a new life order and continued to codify new values introduced in April, May, and August 2008. The first half of March Uranus transited its stationary point at 23 Pisces, where we again found transcendent energies that could help us master life forces.

Late March and early April Uranus began its "unknown zone" transit, and offered us a new adaptability, creativity, surity in self-expression, and a time of "happy building." Most of April Uranus will be at 25 Pisces, a degree of purification, and a "true vision" arising from "Soul reformation."

The very end of April through the first 3 weeks of May, Uranus shows us how to do our own thing in our own way, and step outside of authoritarian patterns. We can see the harmonics at work as we live at various levels of overlapping consciousness, and by hearing the inner call to realization, we can transmute the meaning in much of what we think.

Beginning May 22 Uranus will occupy 27 Pisces, the point where it will go stationary retrograde at the end of June. This is a threshold state for Uranus and all things and areas affected by Uranus in our charts. We are told this is a degree of "the power of creative visualization by which great Dreamers transcend outer reality." We are shown a fulfillment here that could lead to a "complete dominance of circumstances," however we define that in our local conditions.

Of course, the degree a planet goes stationary retrograde represents a threshold state, after which that planet re-traces its path and we get a new angle of interpreting those higher, Divine energies. So pay attention to what you're shown in the way of individualizing forces from now through late June, since we'll be practicing skill dealing with those lessons from July through November 2009.

Dear Robert,
You mentioned that the point where a planet goes stationary retrograde is a threshold. I've got Moon at 27Sag20, so Uranus will make its first square since it made a conjunction back in the beginning of 1988. Strangely enough, I've checked it that the Saturn/Uranus conjunction happened exactly there: at 28 of Sagittarius. When Saturn made the first square after the conjunction, on that very exact day, my father passed away. Some pretty bad things also happened during the opposition to my moon some 7 years ago, all related to the women in my family, my mum and daughter that is. Apart from the Uranus square, Saturn will also make a square to my Moon later this year. I wonder what that could have meant, having had that Saturn/Uranus conjunction over Moon, and now 21 years later having these two making squares to Moon, which leaves the void at 27/28Gemini as the missing leg. My mum is soon to go to an asylum-clinic where she'll finish her days, I've been suspecting for quite some time she might suffer from Alzheimer. My daughter has become a bit more independent and is a bit less of a source of so much concern. Apart from that, my security base has never been rebuilt after Pluto's passage over my Moon, I'm wondering what could be in store for me, since all three important lunar elements are being removed: mother, daughter, security....

Hi, Robert. I am not sure where the following fits into the current scheme, but I am smart enough not to discount these things as “coincidences.” Perhaps you have an insight. I have two close friends, Shane Wells and Jean Rustin and both are Gems. Jean has two exes, b. April 8 and April 9. Shane has a new (2 months) gf b. April 8. My ex was b. July 29. Jean’s daughter is b. July 28 as is another of my exes from college. Shane’s Mom is July 29. Shane has been attending a “Course in Miracles” workshop at church. I decided to attend. He discovered that every single person in the group had Anne in their name or was married to one. I attended last night for the first time as did a new member of the group—Jean Wells. I am 67, Jean is 45, and Shane is 34. We are all shaking our heads at these synchronicities. Any idea what is going on?

This was a fantastic post; as you described what occurred over 2007 & 2008, so much resonated with the work that I've been doing and that certain revelations (for lack of a better word) occurred nearly in synchronous fashion with many of the important dates (ie, SR and SD degrees and the months they were occupied) you cite. I suppose that's a very long way of saying: thank you for (yet again!) providing me with assurance that there is some greater design to what I've experienced over the past 2+ years than what I've been able to see at the moment.

"individulizing forces" . . . yes.

And "yuck awareness" is sharpening. Get prone, ask, wretch, release. This is right up there with showering, brushing teeth, etc routine. Not that it happens every day. Seems to culminate at the full moon. I don't question it, I just do it.

Hi Alix - Whenever something is taken away, it is always replaced by that which is appropriate to where we're at. The trick is to know what to say no to, and what to say yes to. When the outer Feminine elements in a life are in transition, then it's a clear signal that we're getting to know our inner Feminine in a different way, with different outer symbols and different interactions so we can demonstrate elements of the wisdom of the Feminine we've danced with up to that point. Saturn's waning square and biseptile shows you've fulfilled an old heaviness or other Saturn quality that's hammered your Moon over the decades. This is an emotional turning point in major ways. Uranus' waxing square shows a new individualizing pulse, of more authentic and free emotions and way of moving through day to day life. Started April-May-June 2008 when Uranus made it's station square your Moon. Before that it was a binovile. The Gemini void shows you can reach out to distant vision, and leave behind that which has burdened you. You are being relieved of pressures you no longer need to carry.

Hi AnneTexas - Sounds like you found your way to a group of beings with very similar harmonics, including a bunch with your name "mantra." Mid-Aries and early Leo have a very special and serendipitous interaction. Remember - in the larger scheme of things, we're all finding our way to the communities we'll be grooving with in the future.

Hi Matt - Thanks. You sound like you're moving in synch with larger patterns, and seeing how to navigate what's up in any given time frame. Becoming more aware of what's up and what to do or not to do is always a very good thing.

Hi Victoria - This is a time for managing many different kinds of energy, and I suppose the more we automatically reference just doing it, whatever it is, then we don't get caught in "the in-betweens." The recent New Moon square Pluto has thrown a lot into the air for many people lately. And, since we'll all be dealing with Saturn opposition Uranus for quite a while, we may as well get used to it and do the best we can with what we have. Changes, changes, and more changes now and far into the future.

The moments of past history which you evoked since end 2006 - 7 till now make all the sense to me. I am wondering what will happen, as the Uranus at 25 Pisces will be almost square my Ascendant coincidental with the Center of Galaxy (25,45th. Sagitarius rising in my chart, with six planets in Aquarius).

Hi Isabel - Uranus squares usually propel us into our individuality, in your case a greater dedication that allows you to go your own way as you see the essential elements of what is, learning to practice even apparently menial things in the Divine Presence. Enjoy the Jupiter conjunction the entire year, since it is and will open doors you may not have imagined before now.
