The Full Moon happens April 9 at 10:56 am EDT, occurring at the 20th degrees of Libra and Aries. This is the first Full Moon of the new year cycle, and the first of the "Three High Moons" of Spring. This should be a Full Moon that opens doors, and signals the threshold of new things to emerge in the months to come.
This Full Moon will show us the light of joining with others to overcome "seasonal barrenness," and the beginning of participating in a "life larger than any conception of selfhood." This will be expressed in a form of traditional wisdom put to "competent service." Mars ruling the Sun in favorable aspect to almost every other planet shows a time when we'll find what we need for nourishment among those with whom we're related by a spiritual web of energy.
The Full Moon of Libra with the Sun in Aries shows realizations around discovering who we are in relationships, and how to express our most authentic self in an elegant, refined, balanced way. We can find a more beautiful and aesthetically pleasing ideal of self expression which is the natural fruition of the seed forms released at the last New Moon in Aries.
The biggest news going on in this Lunation is the very stabilizing and harmonizing Jupiter, Chiron, and Neptune in trine to the Moon and sextile to the Sun of the lunation. This will strengthen everyone's heart energy, and give us all chances to release potentials through identifying with the source of light and life on Earth, as well as seeing illusions that ego cannot sustain.
We can also find a linkage between our worldly and transcendent selves that reveals our worth on higher levels so we can leave behind useless things. Expect a degree of "spiritual linkage through emotional stress," ultimately leading to the furthering of a broader ideal.
The Moon is exceptionally well positioned to bring forth elegant forms these next 2 weeks because of some excellent aspects. The Moon is quintile Pluto, tredecile its North Node, trine Jupiter, Chiron, and Neptune, triseptile Uranus, and quadranovile Venus. The only challenging aspect the Moon makes is a quincunx to Mars, showing forced adjustments as Mars in late Pisces approaches its conjunction with Uranus before conjuncting Venus at the last degree of Pisces. This will shape archetypal forms coming forth for the rest of this year through 2010.
Because this Lunation falls in Cardinal signs, we can be sure that this coming period is about being educated into ways to take the initiative. Due to the strong Jupiter support for the Lunation, we will certainly have opportunities to see things clearly and move into more ideal conditions, despite the fact that there will be disappointments testing our resilience and persistence in moving into a larger vision. Overall, the quantity of favorable aspects overwhelms what few difficult aspects there are, so enjoy the understandings, harmonizations, productivities, and high specializations that will characterize the next two weeks.
Another primary influence is larger in scope, but also a long wave positive. The North Node of this Full Moon is the degree of the New Moon Solar Eclipse of late January 2009, and so will help that long term pulse to be furthered as a vision where something that's been symbolic before now is given wings and a new way of being is envisioned and launched.
More on that Solar Eclipse for each sign can be found at this link. You can bet that "new mutations" will continue to develop and come forth during the next two weeks, so embrace the new, the unusual, and that which is clearly not a product of the past or any local condition.
That Solar Eclipse also was given form by the Lunar Eclipse of February 2009. Add the influence of Jupiter expanding the Aquarian energies set into motion in those eclipses, you may want to reconsider some of what's written there to understand what we're still moving through. Jupiter will continue to expand the new Aquarian pulses set loose a few weeks ago, and so the entire year will bring vision and openings around unknown forces pulling us into a future we cannot imagine.
Venus is the ruler of the Moon, and is RX at 1 Aries, a degree of pure emergent potential. Venus' only affliction is the separating square to Pluto, showing we're already shedding skins of old ways, dumping old people and values no longer appropriate to who we are, and bringing new rhythms, perspectives, needs, and decisions around all of these. With the Moon quadranovile Venus, expect to see old people fade away who are not spiritually connected with who we've become, and be willing to accept relationship with those who share your spiritual vision or energies.
The Moon quincunx Mars requires that we open to "parting the veil" and moving into the unknown so we can transcend dualism. We will need courage and persistence, but the reward is a greater connectedness in forms of rituals where we can identify with the source of light and life on Earth. Those with planets around 18-23 Leo will be most benefited by this lunation.
Jupiter is triseptile Saturn, showing some forks in the road for those with planets around 16-18 Virgo, 7-9 Scorpio, 28-30 Sag and 1 Cap, 20-22 Aquarius, 11-13 Aries, 2-4 Gemini, and 24-26 Cancer. Our disappointments will lead us to break up old complexes, and our "will to wholeness" can bring us strength.
This is particularly important as Saturn is the nozzle focusing the powerful energies of the cluster of planets between Pluto in early Cap and Mercury in early Taurus. We can certainly bust lies, misconceptions, and get to the heart of any matter with Mercury trine Pluto and Sun tredecile Pluto, which will help us get over preconceptions and see the relative importance of the many details of our lives.
Mostly, I suspect that there will be a lot of see-sawing due to the larger configuration, so stay centered with an eye to how the parts fit into the whole. We'll be feeling, then deciding, then thinking, so trust your hunches, make decisions based on what you're experiencing, and then get a new vision, or find new information that can help you move whatever forward.
This is the beginning of a very productive launching of a vision or adventure, so carefully meditate on your highest ideal you want to see made manifest in the future. The clearer the better. People will be important indicators of new emergent possibilities, so regardless of insecurities, cut to the chase and let whatever come up and out that's been repressed before now. Your "will to wholeness" will help break up old complexes and lead you to your most natural Self.
We're still saying goodbye, and by the end of April we really will be moving into a future that is more real than any of the weirder experiences we've been having for quite a while. Trust a balanced wisdom, join with others in compassion, foresight, and community, and you'll help others out of their troubles.
The power and draw is in newness. Whatever is different, revolutionary, cathartic, purifying, and rewarding is what's real. Deliver a form of spiritual power, and you'll see it open doors in May, June, and July. Aum Namah Shivaya!

mhm and for me that change is finding and relaxing into PURE BEING...enough of this foreign to me maya shit that has no REAL BEARING on who I am as a spiritual being having a human experience. :)

Damien, the "maya shit" . . .
It's a record. A calendar. Validates(less than good word) our spiritual experience at this time. Like the pyramid records. It's that Nostra up your damus guy who made it all spookey (or is it the interpreters). But he was a product of his times and religion. And spookey makes good press. Fear is fun or something?
Being is good. Now is good. Vision is good. It's all good. Sometimes weird, but good.

Hi Robert, I await the full moon tonight while I languish in our fantastic weather in Jamaica, the West Indies not New York...with my bowl afresh with water and incense inufusing the sweet night air a little cloudy but I see it rising. I took your advice on checking on free astrological charts (since nothing in life is free except "breath") I was given totally different rising and ascending signs with each site. Could you possibly recommend one that you think is accurate. I do have my birth and year and thanks to my father who was a stickler for accuracy my birth time.
AUM

Hi Robert,
I enjoyed your last article and in looking through your site, I see that you don't have a link up to my website anymore. Elsa just posted another article of mine a few days ago titled RECENT ARIES VIOLENCE. I would appreciate any feedback you may have on it. Thanks.Keep up the good work...Happy Easter. Jan Warren Allen

Greetings Sue in the West Indies.... noticed your confusion, and if Robert will pardon me here, I wanted to recommend a wonderful site that I have frequently used for my charts... it is 'astrodienst.com' from Switzerland.... the accuracy is 100%.... and free! Enjoy the moonlight...............

Hi Joanne - I trust this past period has been as good as it sounds!
Hi Anna - You're most welcome. Glad these articles are on point. Will definitely try to keep them coming, though there may be changes in the coming year due to my own Solar Return indicators.
Hi Damien - Well, given that Maya is the form of "Divine Mother" matrix energies that give all things form, I would think that's where we find "pure Being." Just sail away.....
Hi Victoria - Yes, it's funny how we love those who predict whatever, and fear what they predict unless it fits our groove. Fear sells these days. All that you say is good is in fact good. And also very weird, given the larger changes upon us all.
Hi Chickie - I have no doubt that the more you embrace The Mother, the more She will embrace you. Great pics you sent, btw.
Hi Sue - Eirie! As for rising sign, I can't understand why you would get radically different rising signs. A general rule is to look at the hour you were born, and figure the Sun. At midnight, it's at the bottom of the chart. At noon, the very top. At sunset, on the cusp of the 7th. That should help you get oriented. If you want, list the birthday, time, and place again and it should be evident, unless of course you were born on a cusp.
Hi Shanita - Well, perhaps also of the tall trees as well as the high desert. We do live in exciting but very weird times.....
Hi Jan - Well, the link you provided went to a very strange page that has nothing to do with your site. I've emailed you and perhaps we can get this straightened out. Will take a look at the article when I get a minute not trying to keep my roof on (literally!) due to 60 mph winds the past 96 hours.
Hi Diana - Thanks for the heads up for Sue. I don't know why there would be different ascendants at different sites, since mostly they have that sort of thing down. And hopefully we'll get to connect once the winds die down and I have a little time to venture forth from the cave.
