As I once wrote, yes and yes. I've written a lot about this transitional era we're in, and ways to view the changes so we can cooperate with the shifts rather than get frustrated or fearful about them. Today I pulled together 3 articles that offer useful info on the rapidly closing era and explore what is in front of us.
First, there's The End of the Age - Time and Evolution. It explores many things, from the nature of time itself to the Mayan Calendar through the problems of glamor, illusion, perceptions, and making assumptions about ascension. A brief excerpt:
... those of us who are striving for kindness, compassion, and forms of service and higher awareness will be here for many thousands of years to come. Simply put, no true Disciple would ever be in a hurry to leave this beautiful Earth and our family of loved ones near and far. "All our relations" is not just a slogan for those trying to imitate Native American culture. It is in fact our state of everlasting connectedness with all that is.In the larger space-time evolutionary point we've moving with at present, it actually seems as though we're at the end of a long cycle and moving into another, but also just barely past the mid-point of a much larger circumpolar cycle. Our current "path of return" should last another 10-12,000 years, followed by another 26,000 year period much more evolved than anything we've known before now, since we are past the densest point of the larger evolving period. Reference "The Holy Science" by Sri Yukteswar for a quick glimpse into the cycle of Yugas we're dancing within.
We're definitely on the cusp of a transition between Ages, but it is important to remember perceptual context. If an Age is approximately 2160 years, then allowing for a transition of 3 degrees out of the old sign and 3 degrees into the new, we are partway into the swirl of major transition lasting about 430 years mas o menos. This is of course a time period when things are in radical change and comings and goings are accelerated. Since we live in a very small span relative to the cosmic timekeepers, then it's doubtful we can get a large enough view to understand what's actually happening and why.
The second article is The Eternal Now Through 2012 and Beyond - End of An Age, or Gateway to A New Eon? This article examines the nature of this transitional era and how to "step out of time" to get a larger view on our possibilities.
As with the first article, it also explores many diverse issues connected with our Age in Transition, such as the nature of endings and beginnings within a larger continuity of evolution, how we measure time, and the awakening to a new collective reality. From that article, a brief piece:
... there seems to be a lot of fear and drama around the number 2012, with many ominous predictions floating around the global brain. This is generated by glamor, which as you know is a world problem. Many confirm their fears by searching for that which seems to be associated with the dramatic predictions. However, this fear and drama is useless wheel spinning if we are to position ourselves intelligently, lovingly, and wisely for the experiences we confront over the next several thousand days.It is natural for we humans to fear the end of our familiar perceptual reality, since we learned that response eons ago. However, we have now reached a point where a sense of things ending is a constant (and an inevitability!) in our experience of our Age in Transition. Due to many factors, some geophysical and some simply the time of the Initiation of the World and all its sentient Beings, there is a collective quickening.
The third article offered today is What Is Coming in 2007-2008-2009-2010-2011-2012? In it I touch on the Global Brain and a few of the problems humanity confronts on its "arc of return." At the end of this article there are links to articles explaining the Saturn opposition Uranus both square Pluto these next few years, and what we can expect. Rather than post a segment from it, I'll let you visit there and take the trip through a vast subject affecting us all.
Taken as a whole, these three articles offer a wider vision of our Age, and our possibilities of cooperating with the larger evolutionary pulses in grounded, practical ways. We're evolving a new view of time, space, energy, matter, life, and each other, as well as our Earth. We may as well learn to enjoy the journey, since we're all on Spaceship Urth together on a joyride through Eternity. All aboard!

Hello Robert,
Thanks for the links. I was wondering if you ever read any of Karen Bishop's Wings posts. The 21st of June is a bit of a turning point in her view. How does it sit with you?

Wow Zeta.
I usually regard this kind of things as bullshit but this woman has some really insightful writtings, like here:
http://www.emergingearthangels.com/
So I felt very, very identified with the questions she has for everybody.
And perhaps then we can understand better what is this Grand Irrationality where everything materialistic is falling down to pieces into a sea of apparent confusion but big personal and spiritual developments ans serendipities -and hellish confusion, yes-.
Thanks for the references, quite interesting link.

Hi Zeta - Will check her posts out. And yes, this Summer Solstice is the first one opposed Pluto in Capricorn, no doubt ushering in a season of radical changes. That Venus is conjunct Mars both trine Saturn should stabilize some things quite nicely.
Hi Henry - The Grand Irrationality continues to push humanity's limits to the max, now that Jupiter and Saturn are again moving into their respective zones. Watch out when Venus and Mars move through the Gemini zone! (and yes, I'll be posting on that sometime soon....)

Hi Henry,
I'm gald you liked it. I really look forward to her writings. They really resonate with me, and like you most of this kind of thing usually rings hollow.
and thanks Robert, yes I was wondering how the summer solstice sits with you on an astrological level so look forward to a post.
