I've been asked over the years how we can know if we're compatible with another, and if when we choose to get married actually matters. Given the Sun is now in Libra, the sign of marriage and relationships, today we'll take a look at these things.
The issues of compatibility between charts are one thing, the issues connected to a composite chart is another. The time we meet is another major factor, as is the time we choose to commence the ceremony that culminates in each saying "I do."
Each of these requires different analytical techniques. I definitely recommend that if a couple is considering traveling with each other for the long run, a compatibility session should be done, which ideally includes a look at the synastry elements as well as the composite issues, strengths, and challenges.
Of supreme importance is the chart done for the time of marriage. Any couple considering such a thing should consult an astrologer trained in such things. While we are few and far between, it helps the union get off to the best start it can, given the prevailing "atmospheric" conditions.
All these things and more were explored in the article Marriage, Composite, and Compatibility Charts. By all means, if you're considering a union with another, please check it out.
Of course, get as much information as you can about who you're naturally compatible with through whatever means you can, whether astrologically, archetypally, or psychologically. If you're interested, you can begin by checking out my free mini-report on your archetypal mate here. In an obvious plug for something I consider an excellent piece of work, there are longer reports that can be ordered for a small price via email. If you want to know about your archetypal mate, please consider it an investment in your present and future harmony. Professor Robert's Mojo Love Reports are my own original creation and definitely the real deal!

(Since I'm on the road right now in Southern California doing talks and sessions, if you email me requesting a love report I'll send it to you when I get home to my main computer.)
A simple q about relationship. Saturn conjuncts Sun has negative effects in relationship. My Saturn is Geminis on X and as far as I know, unlike other Saturn, Saturn X is pretty positively considered. I love Gemini. But because of the Sun conjunction with my Saturn, it is always..negative in some way? It seems, even though we have deep appreciation to each other(we have all kinds of conjuction:NN +juno/moon+Venus+Jupiter/Sun+Pluto/Pluto+NN..etc), Gemini partner doesn't last long.. Or they feel inferiority in the end. It is weird. I would be appreciate if I have your opinion about how it specifically affects in relationship.
Graccia!

Hi ev - Saturn conjunct Sun supposedly has negative effects, but I've seen a wide range of very good Saturn/Sun contacts, where illumination comes blazing forth in a wisdom-understanding. Regardless of what the person with Saturn feels, it is still an interactive challenge to demonstrate Saturn's virtues rather than indulge its vices, whether they arise from self or others.
Someone's Saturn conjunct our whatever, or vise versa, just shows a dance between a maturing, structuring influence and the planet it conjuncts. It is up to us not to allow the need for another to control things to interfere with our learning maturity and persistence in asserting dominion over what is ours to claim.
Of course, there are a ton of other contacts that may prove extremely beneficial, or valuable, or aggravating, or liberating, or illuminating, or whatever. Each sign has its own version of "inferiority," which is of course a very relative term, and often an ego illusion resulting from wrong comparative view. Prego!
