New experiences of course, since it's the beginning of Spring, and the days will be longer than the nights for 6 months to come. The Sun is now in Aries, promising renewal of energy and activity, even as we find opportunity and protection in bringing other things to their natural end.
Today is the last day of Winter in the Northern Hemisphere, the last day of Summer in the Southern. This is an excellent time for looking at what has ended, what is emerging, and step out of the ocean on to dry land. Just keep following through on the future you have dreamed of, since every day is good for making a better future real.
The Vernal Equinox chart is said to indicate what we can expect over the next 90 days in the way of weather, both actual and symbolic. Pluto will again prove important in the coming season, as it does in the charts at every change of season during this time in history.
Due to Pluto transiting early Capricorn, it it squared by the Sun at the Spring and Autumn Equinoctal points, and is opposite the Sun at the Summer Solstice point. These are very dynamic aspects that release a lot of energy, and either block or propel events.
Squares tend to put the brakes on some things, while indicating a "turning of a corner" in other things. Squares to Pluto often show things going out of control or something extreme happening that results in either a favorable purification or a grinding toxicity. Given that Pluto is one of the anchors of The Grand Irrationality, when squared it releases a lot of energy precipitating situations that move people to make choices that propel them into their destiny.
Pluto is the ultimate transformer. It has figured prominently in both Equinox and Solstice charts of the past few years, and will for a few more years. It has particularly affected charts in 2007, 2008, and 2009 due to it going back and forth over 29-30 Sag and 1-3 Capricorn. This year is certainly no exception, as Pluto is certainly within orb of a square with the Sun.
The Vernal Equinox of 2010 happens at 10:32 am PDT on March 20th. That's 1:32 pm EDT, 6:32 pm Greenwich, and March 21 east of India. As with all charts done for celestial occurrences at this time, we see the planets lined up in a "See Saw" Jones pattern.
The larger occupied span ranges from Pluto in early Capricorn through Venus in mid-Aries (like it was on the 2009 Vernal Equinox chart!) but this year the span ends with the Moon in late Taurus. On the other side of the See Saw we find Mars in early Leo sextile Saturn in early Libra. All See Saws require that we find a balanced view of opposing trends, or find the center to avoid getting lost on the periphery.
On the one hand, we will all move with the seeds of what's coming requiring us to finish up old responsibilities, and finish our process this season as we peacefully adapt while offering fruits of our wisdom to others. These will be balanced by what is erupting into action productively inspiring us and/or showing us a broader sweep of cycles and stages of a larger unfoldment.
On this Equinox, the Sun in Aries and Mars in Leo are in a Mutual Reception trine, and govern the entire chart except for the equally strong Jupiter conjunct Uranus in Pisces. The Sun trine Mars both in Fire signs that each other rule is a very powerful harmonizing and stabilizing self-reinforcing energy, promising a lot of inspired action the next 90 days. After the recent Mars retrograde slow down, this one will definitely bring Fire to Life!
The chart shows the Grand Irrationality in major force, with 4 points of the 7-pointed Star active. Besides Neptune and Pluto, we see Venus biseptile Mars and Pluto while septile Neptune, with Mars continuing to be the nozzle for Neptune and Pluto as it is triseptile both. I discussed more about the Mars focusing the Grand Irrationality in recent articles which are linked at the bottom of this one.
This means that in our charts, life areas involving Aries, Taurus, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces will all see major shifts and "fork in the road" situations where we will be determining our future direction and character development.
Other major building or specializing influences include Jupiter quintile Pluto, Mercury novile Neptune, and a host of favorable Lunar aspects to Venus, Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto. These favorable Lunar aspects will be released through the Moon square Neptune, offering us opportunities to find our more ideal purposes, strength of heart, and focused magnetism.
The energies of the Grand Irrationality, along with Moon septile Mercury energies putting those areas into critical flux as well, will be triggered each time the Cardinal T-square is activated. This T-square involves Sun and Mercury opposition Saturn with all of them square Pluto.
Each time the Moon moves through early Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn we'll see important developments, as well as when the inner planets move through those zones as well. This promises to make the last half of May, as well as all of June, a very important time of change, some of them potentially revolutionary as Jupiter and Uranus occupy the early Aries zone.
The oppositions between planets in Aries and Saturn in Libra forms the line of the "tension of opposites" in the larger pattern, showing the continuing confrontation between polarized parts of our reality, individual and collective. We are ALL being confronted with awarenesses we must accept.
In addition to these oppositions, we also see Saturn moving retrograde back into a close opposition to Uranus during the course of the Spring, with Jupiter in Pisces also opposing Saturn in Virgo during the next 90 days. The Aries-Libra opposition anticipates what's coming this Summer, while the Pisces-Virgo opposition helps us finish the "centrifuge effect" I wrote about last Autumn. These oppositions are purifying us in some pretty absolute ways, and flinging us toward some situations and people while flinging us away from others.
All of this seems to indicate a fairly inspired and dynamic time of choices and changes that will stabilize our energies and vitality, helping us withdraw from some things while moving us quickly into other things. We'll all be in a much different head and heart space by the time of the Summer Solstice on June 21st, 4:30 am PDT, 7:30 am EDT, 12:30 pm Greenwich time.
This continues the endings as we prepare to enter a new reality, with tremendous productivity and solidification of values and resources throughout the next 90 days indicated by the sextile of the lights. Given the tremendous number of productive aspects between various planets, the next 13 weeks should be a very positive time in all areas provided we conform to the needs helping us align with our higher potentials.
We've been reorganizing based in the "venerable standards" we've embraced the past 15 months, receiving rewards, doing closures, finding deeper compassion and/or understanding, and being attracted to people and situations that show us our Spiritual group work. The next few weeks will continue this pattern, with blessings and protection coming as we demonstrate our dignity in withdrawing from that which is shallow, superficial, hypocritical, or draining our vitality.
So look at what has ended, what is emerging, and step out of the ocean on to dry land. And most importantly, keep dreaming the great dream over the next few weeks, since Jupiter will bring opportunities and truths directly connected with the Venus conjunct Mars at 30 Pisces last April. By the end of this year, we will be living a version of the archetype we have declared our own.
Aum and blessings as we stand on the threshold of a new season of life!

The Gayatri
O Thou that givest sustenance to the universe,
From Whom all things proceed,
To Whom all things return,
Unveil to us the face of the true Spiritual Sun,
Hidden by a disk of golden light,
That we may know the truth
And do our whole duty
As we journey to Thy Sacred Feet.

I am really liking this solar shift today. Gonna soak up as much of this martian energy that I can. It is so fleeting for me. The martian always seems to spin me in a circle, I go rolling forward, and when well on my way I find myself saying b-b-b-but, where did he go?

Thank you, Robert, for your much needed encouragement.
In a process of leaving my superficial and hypocritical job I have a perfect pic of my future in my head. That includes connectedness, helping the human kind and promoting my values with my work. They way is up and ahead after an exhausting period.
Happy New Beginning to all of us! Let's make this a better world!

Thanks for sharing this. I will make a note of this,
"And most importantly, keep dreaming the great dream over the next few weeks, since Jupiter will bring opportunities and truths directly connected with the Venus conjunct Mars at 30 Pisces last April. By the end of this year, we will be living a version of the archetype we have declared our own".

Fresh air at last! I am stepping out of the hardened old skin and even though feeling a little "raw" I can breathe so much better. Thanks for the inspiration, keep it coming, we all need to hear it over and over.
Om Nama Shivaya!

Robert, Your connection with the stars is fascinating. I've found over the course of the past year you have been pretty right on with your message as far as tides of life go and the affects of energies we are not consciously aware. I'm trying to learn the squares and nozzles and polarizations you talk about. Is there a site you could recommend? I'm pretty visual, as most learners are. Do you have a schedule of when and where you speak?? In Denver anytime soon :)?? Thanks for all you do!!!!

Hi Robert & Bloggers,
Been a while since I posted. Truth in Robert's words. It turns out I'm not in a position to sell my condo so I suddenly found myself unpacking again! This coincided with a "last-straw" scenario with a regularly toxic parent. I walked away from that co-dependent relationship and OMG, the RELIEF I feel is almost palpable! It took 46 years to see who I've been really dealing with! (So there's a good example of "some things will be blocked at the same time corners will be turned.") I'm planning a closure ritual on several people and attitudes from my past. This as the cherry on the cake of reviewing and renewing myself via a self-made work book, flashcards of healthy behavioral responses AND word bracelets to look at daily. Some of the words I used are "relax" "connected" "pause" "trust" etc. When I read (after the fact) what Robert is writing here, it's pretty much describing what I've been working on, even if it has been in the eye of the storm. Yet I DO feel things coming back to a point where my destiny is my choice. I feel like I have a clean canvas and I can paint on it whatever I want. (I am an artist too by the way). So yes, bring on the good stuff, because in the end the Universe loves us. Thank you Robert and bloggers for making this an interesting and insightful place to return..

Very strange times Robert!...and still many things ending. The group artistic endeavor that I had become involved in the setting up of has erupted into a struggle and fight over governing roles and implementation of ideas. I have cut all ties as ultimately to have a partner who refuses to listen to me and only protects her own title will be very damaging,,, I am dissappointed if only because the last twelve weeks seems like such a waste for me...she will continue in the same vein. But I now want to continue with my work in my own name without the headings and overprotected titles as I have known I should be doing for the past 2 years. Why though Robert must I get involved with people, bring them to a point and then have to have a drama tear it apart to start anew. These are the forks in the road which occur over and over these days.Learning to make the right decisions and not be tempted to include so many " buts" ...it is nice to follow your own path, in the end.

Hi all - Thanks for all the great comments and blessings! Saluting the Sun is always a good thing!
Hi Maria - Hang in there, since leaving a miserable job leaves us free to pursue other more fulfilling things. No one needs be abused one second longer than it takes to recognize it is abusive.
Hi Johan - Great site you have!
Hi Sue Moon - Always good to shed skins!
Hi Vanessa - I know of no other site that does what I do. That's what makes this cantina the best place to learn about such things. And due to popular demand, I'll try to set up online classes sometime soon. Not coming to Denver anytime soon, but I'm always open to going places if there's a demand for my services and talks.
Hi Orenda - To defer is not to abandon. I'm sure glad you can recognize when to walk away from toxic situations.
Hi Marie - Best to renounce the waste of time dealing with power struggles that only feed the waste. People who hold titles that they don't fulfill are not worth dealing with, since they're dishonest to begin with. And following our own path is the only way to fly....
