As I recently wrote, we're in the heart of the Cosmic Centrifuge of Saturn retrograde exactly opposed Uranus. This is profoundly affecting the entire world through purification and polarization as prelude to new life to come in a few weeks. Today we examine which generations and signs are most influenced.
Even though it's now separating, it's still a very volatile time and will be for months to come. This aspect will put relentless pressure on us all as we transition from the tension of opposites involving Virgo and Pisces into Libra and Aries. After you're done here, you may want to refresh your knowledge of what these changes are all about by going to the recent article describing how this Cosmic Centrifuge is working. A link is at the bottom of this article.
Though this 2nd opposition of the series happened at 29 Virgo-Pisces, it's still affecting people with planets in the early degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn. And of course, since Saturn is going to sit on the last 3 degrees of Virgo through late July, people with planets in late Pisces, Gemini, Virgo, and Sagittarius will be under constant pressure for the next 3 months.
This powerful opposition is affecting everyone in the houses these planets are transiting. They are also profoundly affecting people with planets in the late Mutable zones and early Cardinal zones listed in the previous paragraph. So people born the 3rd week of March, June, September, and December all have their Sun in the centrifuge, showing a major life turning point in terms of purpose and individuation.
While a thorough list of generations affected would be impossibly long, among those adults influenced in life-altering ways are those born 1929, 1937, early 1938, late 1939 through late 1943, 5-7/1944, 7/1947 through 7/1949, early 1950, 9/1950 through 9/1951, 2-5/1958, 11/1958 through 1/1959, 7-10/1959, 4/1966 through 3/1967, 9/1967 through 10/1972, 5/1973 through 5/1974, 11/1979 through 3/1980, 8-11/1980, 2-5/1981, 12/1981 through 12/1985, 1/1987 through 1/1989, and 7-10/1989.
If you were born during one of these times, it means your Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and/or Pluto are now in the Cosmic Centrifuge. The Centrifuge itself requires that we now turn a corner, put on the brakes, and let go of something or someone. It is purifying, polarizing, and ultimately requires that we take responsibility to throw off chains and demonstrate our freedom to move into new ways of Doing and Being.
Depending on which of these planets is caught in the whirlwind, you will be purifying your life of an obsolete structure, duty, or limitation (Saturn), or willfulness, eccentricity and erratic need for freedom (Uranus), a sense of dread, lack of clarity, or drifting (Neptune), or maybe a deep corrosive attitude (Pluto). Of course, it will affect the inner planets of too many to go into any depth here, but I've offered you clues as to how it works, regardless of which planet it may affect.
So keep breathing and loving as you move through the pressures separating you from old things, people, and experiences forever. You're finishing your training to live the archetypes you've already experienced last Autumn and Winter. Get ready to come up out of the ocean and experience yourself in new ways and forms in just a few weeks.
ADDENDUM: It was pointed out by a friend/fan of the site that this is the fourth of the oppositions, not the second. Yes, through an oversight I omitted the 2 that happened from Virgo to Pisces in early November 2008 and early February 2009. I considered them a different "series" than this one, though of course they're not. The first two oppositions describe the last US presidential election and the oppositional aftermath that followed as the economy continued to tank, Republicans continued to obstruct, and the old white refusniks arose to polarize themselves against the very system that is giving them their Social Security and Medicare. That's why the current vitriol is probably unsustainable after the oppositional tension between these two major planets passes. However, in the political realm it's not a good time to be an incumbent due to this opposition.

Whew! Heady stuff for a '49 earthling...(Uranus 2nd casa/Gemini 27.5) Robert, I buried the best dog ever recently when Mars jumped on my Pluto (Leo 4th) and Neptune makes me nuts. When my world spins this confusingly, I want to meditate, garden and be still. I am moving forward slowly, the past is moving further away faster then it ever has before. I am letting go and it feels OK. The hardest part is knowing my Jupiter squares Uranus for the next 7 months and that makes me "squiggly."

Robert - would you consider addressing the relative weight/importance of individual transects vs. the general events/conditions you discuss on this site? The other day I had a really bad day. By evening I hated nearly everyone, was angry at most everything, and was having suicidal thoughts by bedtime. When I recovered the next day, I looked at my data for the bad day (courtesy of AdZe.com) and saw no less than 6 squares and 1 opposition, nearly all to my moon. Next time I start feeling that funky I will check sooner - a little perspective would have helped in maintaining emotional balance. I have noticed that days with more than 4 or 5 moon squares tend to be rough.

Hi Robert
Its all in my 1st, 7th and 4th!
I have Jupiter at 1 degree cappy in my 4th house.
I am staying quiet and feel the need to go an buy lots of popcorn and watch the drama of the world unfold!
Just staying at peace now. Hunkering down and hopeful for the future, that we will unite in love and not go to war!

Just reinforces that I am on the right track with everything I am letting go of, and the fresh air is quite exhilarating!
Thanks Robert, you are a lifeline to so many of us.

Breathing and Loving! Exactly! I have moved through some incredibly intense situations by just doing those two things alone and have gotten extraordinary results. By the way, born Aug 1966 so the Sat/Ura opposition is hitting me full on, along with with Sat sitting on my Moon at 28 Virgo. Luv ya,

Hi all - Checking in when I can....
Hi Jan - My sincere condolences on the loss of your loved one. Sometimes meditation is the only thing that keeps us oriented in the midst of the swirl. Gardening is grounding. I love it, except when 70 mph winds literally shred the leaves off the stalks of my tomatoes. We are all truly being thrown into new orientations and away from old ways of living. As Jupiter squares your Uranus (like me!), just don't let temperament blow your fuses and waste energies exploding sideways.
Hi Denise - Transit to transit aspects affect everyone, but the differences depend on how the transits affect our individual planets. Think that it rains on saints and sinners alike, but each has their own way of responding. Definitely don't indulge suicidal thoughts, since they are at best counterproductive, and at worst, well..... Squares help us shift directions and oppositions bring us awarenesses, unless we get bent sixteen ways from Thursday. Though lunar squares can be rough, they offer us a chance to change emotional patterns. And that can be a very good thing when we're coming into our autonomy.
Hi Jorge - You're most welcome. Glad it helps. Leaping into our Higher Self is always an adventure, even if somewhat unnerving! Blessings to you as well.
Hi Cindy - You're already been through your intensified purification when Pluto crossed your Saturn. This Summer, don't let yourself be directed away from your best interests, don't get lost in "vain imaginings" (thank you Florence Shinn!), and sometime popcorn is a great indulgence!
Hi Sue Moon - Glad you're getting oxygen in this weird time. Always good for swift healing! Thanks for your praise. It matters, even if the Buddhist in me says it shouldn't.....
Hi Christine E - Welcome to many months of an expanding universe. Choose wisely, since there are many possibilities.
Hi Yeshe - Yes, breathing and loving are good disciplines. When we learn how to navigate the pressure cooker, then many things are not so fearful ever again. That's a very good thing.
Hi Eliakim - I endeavor to persevere!

I was born 12/23/1949 and I have had enough! Was hoping pluto would help but no signs of that happening yet. I need some good news for a change.......doesn't look like Saturn in Libra will help me find a job but hoping that Uranus going into Aries will do the trick.....my uranus is in Cancer, my jupiter is in Aquarius. I need to win alot of money...lol......or find a good job soon! I also need to move! Dislike this town I am stuck in.

Letting go is a process. I can feel the release of so much and see that it has taken away to allow me to float in this sea of emotions, memories, and open myself to what i am and will be.
Thanks Robert for all your help. This is actually a great birthday gift for my solar returns.
