Jupiter is now at the end of the end of Pisces. Tomorrow it will enter Aries for the first time in many years, showing us the promise of a new way of Being and acting in new directions. As it does we will temporarily leave Pisces energies behind, and experience a new birth wherever we have 1 Aries in our charts.
Though Jupiter has already been conjunct Uranus for several weeks, for the most part it's been a Piscean "catch up" type of energy because the conjunction was still forming. Then Uranus slipped into Aries in late May, creating an "out of sign" conjunction blending Jupiter at the end of Pisces and Uranus occupying the first degree of Aries.
Now, as it enters Aries it will conjunct Uranus at the critical degree of 1 Aries. Though the aspect is exact at 4:25 am PDT, 12:25 pm Greenwich on June 8, you can bet you can expect a major energetic shift the instant it enters Aries at 11:29 pm PDT June 5, 7:29 am Greenwich June 6.
Here I'll add that even when this aspect is separating, it'll be so close all Summer that it will be fully active! This conjunction ushers in a new Era, and this Summer is the beginning of the beginning.
I'll post several Jupiter in Aries articles over the next several weeks explaining some things about this position and its influence on all our charts. For now, since Jupiter is still in the final degree of Pisces, I want to give you a link to a very important article concerning 30 Pisces. This degree offers us the ability to see future archetypes if our thought forms are clear enough.
This has been and continues to be important since what we've been dreaming in May and early June thanks to Uranus and Jupiter will bring clear results of those thought forms beginning mid-August, expand or be blessed in mid-September, and achieve some measure of finality by mid-January through mid-March 2011.

My constant prayer now is 'Great Spirit, guide and protect us'
Ready, willing and able for whatever path to our highest good. Blessings to you and everyone here.

Namaste Sri Robert (pronounced like Steven Cobert)! These are interesting times ;-) I think we can all use a good rebirth from time to time; I know I can. This transit is squaring my Moon and trining my natal Jupiter.
Om Namah Shivaya~~~
It's great to be here with everyone in the Cosmic Cantina!

I'm ready for whatever comes and I'm trying to let go of everything I don't absolutely need!

This ram is ready to set a world ablaze... only Saturn's position shows me to be "somewhat" diplomatic about it but also don't get caught up in other people's sour grapes.

And if we don't have Ariesx in ouir charts?
Posted by: AnneTexas | June 05, 2010 at 09:15 AM
Anne - Everyone has 1 Aries somewhere in his or her chart... this degree may not occupy a house cusp or a planet may not be on that degree. But in whichever house 1 Aries falls, this is where the new cycle occurs.
This leads me to my question: is the new cycle just occurring where 1 Aries falls in our natal charts or does this apply to progressed and current solar return charts, too?
Posted by: Matt | June 05, 2010 at 09:58 AM
Thanks, Matt. I thought it referred to natal signs. I guess we look at current transits? I'm confused.

Words are revealing: Aries = Arise! Now is the time.

I have 1 Aries in the 10th house, which is tenanted only by Eris retrograde at 10deg. / 15 min. With Moon and Scorpio in my 6th house, seems like it's always been more about the daily grind for me. I'm doing a job that I've been doing for almost 30 years now, but which I no longer really enjoy. When I was a child, I thought I might like to be a reporter, but am glad now I didn't... the journalism profession seems so compromised nowadays, where extreme opinions disguised as facts seem to rule the day. It would be great to have some new career ideas coming down the pike as a result of the recent astrology... but with Eris nearby, perhaps it's best to just prepare for chaos? I'm not quite sure what to make of it.

Siri, don't do this to me. Consider anon's comment above.
I know all too well there are many astrologers and others out there that turn every archetype into a negative boogey man, there's something wrong with me, or something bad is going to happen to me thing. Get with the teachers that help to know the strengths as well as the pitfalls. Good insight for turn around. I think you could really dig Eris. Strength beyond belief.

Natal Jupiter is at 1 Aries in the 11th house (10th in Koch) for me. And my Sun is in Aries (although it does not conjunct Jupiter). What iss likely to happen to me with Uranus meeting Jupiter in my chart? I feel OK tonight, but ...

... oh, make that Uranus AND Jupiter meeting, by transit, my natal Jupiter! How can I not let this go to waste?

Good advice, Caliban... I found a really wonderful study of Eris online. Not a bunch of "hearts and flowers," mind you, but an article that really clues me in to her nature.

I have Mars at 1 Libra and Mercury at 30 Sagittarius. This is a CRAZY summer, in a good way. A grand new beginning in my life, with however no promise of a continuation of this afterwards. I have living/volunteering in many projects in a new country. After August, the question mark remains... What can I do to make the world a better place?

Hi Nancy - Well, when we share our dream and another has had the same dream, then it must be true!
Hi Morvah - Great prayer. So mote it be.
Hi Timothy - Thanks for the name rhyme with the great Taurus Colbert. Aum Namah Shivaya indeed.....
Hi anon - Creating space and holding it until the right thing shows up is the secret to attracting exactly what we need in the right way and time. Gotta let go of the fist full of pennies if we want to receive the gems.
Hi Matt - Things should already be popping for you! There do seem to be a lot of sour grapes in the air these days, all originating from sour pusses. I would think that the Solar Return house this falls in would be a source of liberation or glimpsing genius in some way. I've never used progressed house positions, but that doesn't mean there is no validity. Still, any progressed chart evaluation must be considered relative to the natal.
Hi AnneTexas - As Matt explained, take a look at what house 1 Aries would occupy, since that's the life area where you can find a whole new life adventure. This conjunction is a transit to transit phenomenon. You look at it relative to your natal houses and planets, and to a lesser degree, progressed planets.
Hi Dirk - Great word play! This is a great arising indeed!! Looking forward to 2011....
Hi Siri - Eris cannot be only negative. That's the limitation of those who have speculated on its effects, or prejudged the effect and then went looking for the correlations. And even if "chaos" is one of its supposed effects, states of occasional chaos are necessary to break down the structure of an old order no longer useful for what we must do to grow into our better future. Even favorable Saturn aspects do not bring "hearts and flowers," unless they are part of our Dharma Seva. Even thistles have their medicinal value, and a heart-shaped stone can have major symbolic meaning if it comes to us in the right way and time.
Hi caliban - Glad you understand no true archetype could be "bad" or evil. As it is well known among learned Kabbalists, "the devil is God as He is misunderstood by the wicked." That said, there are many who misunderstand Reality and give power to their illusion that attracts what they believe to be negative, or bad things happening.
Hi Khristopher Gilbert - Welcome to your Jupiter return. Major opportunities awakening for you now into 2011! Learn as much as you can, go for the higher view, and see your life in a broader context. Much of the promise of this conjunction will blossom by next Spring, so prepare for a great liberation and renewed adventure (something we Aries take to naturally.)
Hi Popplagid - Your Mars is tested, but it also symbolizes exactly what is needed by the world at large in some way. Saturn now ending its square to your Mercury hopefully has led you to some fulfilling mental-verbal training this past 18 months, and you're now ready to bless and be blessed as per your Mercury degree. You definitely have a new set of higher standards with which to evaluate social competitions. Jupiter and Uranus waxing square your Mercury would indicate the new beginnings, though you'll probably have to go back and finish some Pisces preparatory things before it all cuts loose in 2011. What to do to make the world a better place is a 24/7 question, but remember we only get perspective as we get some distance from being in the heart of any action.
Hi alanna - No, 1 Capricorn is the first degree of Capricorn. This conjunction in Aries is waxing (lower) square (90 degrees) to your Jupiter at 1 Capricorn, showing a point of critical emergence relative to your Jupiter. You have the capacity to become quite a power and/or authority in your world, once you see your blessing and take some form of responsibility after training your Jupiter energies appropriately. This is a threshold.
When Saturn moves back into the first degree of Libra in August, you'll see the culmination of an old Jupiter cycle and should cut back on some old Jupiterian things while slowing and patiently building on some of your unique gifts and skills. You'll get rewards for your diligence between December 2010 and March 2011.
