Today we discuss three very major factors influencing this Jupiter in Aries period. It's somewhat technical, but I'll try to keep the explanations understandable.
Perihelion
First, during its time in Pisces and Aries, Jupiter is faster in motion than at any other sector in its orbit. It's a result of what's called "Perihelion." Without going into detail, it's the part of a planet's orbit when it's closest to the Sun and moving very fast. When it's furthest away, it's called "Apehelion," and that's when it's moving the slowest. And of course, regardless of the sign it's slow when retrograde.
(On a related note, when the Moon is closest to the Earth and fastest in motion it's called "Perigee" and when slowest it's called "Apogee." Noting the speeds of the planets is useful in analyzing the pace something will unfold.)
Anyway, during its direct motion time in Pisces (2010) and Aries (2011) Jupiter accelerates rapidly and sustains a very swift motion during the early months of the year. It's now quickening, and will be clipping along at over 14' motion/day in March, April, and early May. That means Jupiterian things can move forward quickly in our lives, and whatever we set into motion should sprout early and grow fast!
Revisiting the New Beginnings of the Summer of 2010
As Jupiter re-enters Aries, it will again visit the span of degrees it occupied in June, July, and August 2010. That will resume whatever new beginnings and awarenesses we went through Summer 2010 when we experienced the first 4 degrees of Aries in June and July for the first time. Last Summer revealed new emergent possibilities, new ways of glimpsing a larger life, and how to do it on our own terms.
Then it went retrograde in late July, and retraced the first 4 degrees of Aries in reverse order, offering us contrast or echos of what needed to be embraced. Now it's about to move across those degrees again through February 5, so take note of what's up during the next two weeks, since it's related to last Summer.
When we add the invisible but far-reaching effects of Uranus also in Aries last Summer, we can see how whatever began then was meant to further our uniqueness, genius, and true individuality. Though it's still in Pisces, it also will again re-enter Aries on March 11-12, 2011. That's the point where the promise of Jupiter will be electrified and things will really begin popping globally!
The Cardinal T-Square Aspects That Just Won't Go Away!
Related to the last section, when Jupiter was in Aries the Summer of 2010, it made a square to Pluto from 4 Aries to 4 Capricorn, and then when retrograde it made an opposition to Saturn from 3 Aries to 3 Libra. Expect these lines of tension to be tested anew as Jupiter again moves through 3 and 4 Aries during the first half of February.
In the coming weeks, Jupiter will again square Pluto in late February from 8 Aries to 8 Capricorn, and again make an opposition to Saturn from 15 Aries to 15 Libra in late March. These will involve similar lines of release and awareness as last Summer, but modified due to all the planets moving forward in their signs.
Since Jupiter is now squaring Pluto for the next few weeks, be thoughtful, since for some coercive and dishonest elements are in the air. Beware of people and situations that are unfair, cruel, out of balance, or potentially explosive. Remember to keep it honest, open, and above board regarding your best interests, and stay focused on accomplishing what you can despite unstable conditions.
Of course, Jupiter making a waxing square to Pluto also can indicate new Jupiterian truths and openings where our Plutonic Divine Power of Transformation can come forth! This is a point of critical emergence between how we are living our Jupiter relative to the on-going larger Transformational energy that pervades our planet.
In its most spiritual manifestation, this square will show as emergent realizations originating in one or more of the Eastern Wisdom traditions. With it we can find new elements of our true "Spiritual role," (Dharma) and relax into that new way of power, accepting certain natural limitations to focus an organized transformation in innovative ways using economy of energy.
Stay balanced, find the right proportion of energy release, and turn away from energy drains while staying sensitive to yours and others' needs. And if the need is creating imbalance or blockages, then turn to new ways of organizing your power of transformation.
Around the time Jupiter squares Pluto in late February, it begins making an opposition to Saturn in mid-Libra. I wrote a bit on that last Summer when it first happened in August, so to know more about how this opposition can manifest, please revisit:

Let us all continue to intend and pray that the uprisings going on in Egypt and elsewhere will result in true and fair elections. A new day truly is dawning. The people of the World that are revolting do not want to trade one dictatorship for another. This Cardinal T-Square that will not go away says to the old guard patriarchy: You can run but you cannot hide. Your days are over. Time to go. Those of us here in the U.S. need to demand of our political leaders that we support legitimate democracy globally, even if people get elected that don't like us. If the people of Gaza elected Hamas in fair elections, we have to support their right of self-determination. If elections truly are free and fair, then I believe that good will triumph in the end. May whatever is in the highest and best good for all concerned come forth at this time. A shout out goes to former President Jimmy Carter and all those working for democracy and fair elections in our world. Namaste.
