Today has been designated "World Cancer Day." Wherever you are, please meditate on the fact that many different cures for cancer are already available for those who need healing, and send a blessing to all those Beings who have cancer or who have died from cancer.
From Wikipedia:
The campaign emphasizes that 40% of cancers can be prevented through these healthy behaviors:Provide a smoke-free environment for children
Be physically active, eat a balanced, healthy diet, and avoid obesity
Learn about vaccines for virus-related liver and cervical cancers
Avoid over-exposure to the sun
From 2008 to 2011, each year (puts the focus) on a different issue:
2008 – give children and young people a smoke-free environment
2009 – encourage an energy-balanced lifestyle based on healthy diet and physical activity
2010 – learn about vaccines against viruses that cause cancers (e.g. HPV vaccines)
2011 – teach children and teenagers to avoid UV exposure by being "sun smart"
I have seen and heard that there are many cures for the different types of cancer in our world. One cured theirs through colonic irrigations and carrot juice; another cured their cancer using certain types of Chinese mushrooms.
One of my favorite cures is through changing the way we view ourselves and disease, accepting the non-reality of all disease. Louise Hay's "You Can Heal Your Life" is a great resource here. Also, years ago when hanging with Hilda Charlton in NYC I participated in a very large group of us doing visualizations and seen it demonstrated that a group of Beings all meditating on the shrinking and dissolving of tumors can achieve miraculous effects, even at very long distances.
The emerging field of mind-body medicine will eventually demonstrate that we can heal what we want when we want when we get clear and focused. Of course, there may be "karmic" diseases that are meant to teach us humility while teaching others compassion.
In the Spirit of today, may no sentient Being ever have to live with, or die from, cancer ever again as soon as possible. Aum Namah Shivaya!

Ditto that, Robert. Cancer is such a cruel son-of-a-gun. Wishing those of us who've been brushed with the disease, regardless of its form and how it's come around us, much strength, love and peace...
