Yes, Mars is now in Taurus. That means it's no longer the final dispositor for all the other planets, and now shares power with Venus as both are in Mutual Reception.
Mutual Reception is when two planets are in the sign each other rules. In this case, Mars is in a Venus-ruled sign while Venus is in a Mars-ruled sign. This will last a few days, until Venus enters Taurus May 15-16 along with Mercury. At that point Venus in Taurus will be the final dispositor for all the other planets until Mercury moves into Gemini on June 2-3.
Mars now activates the stabilization of our affairs wherever we have Taurus in our birth chart. Mars in Taurus can be stubborn in doing things its way, so expect more brinksmanship and butting of heads in the political arena. Of course, this is also where once things are on track, they will move steadily forward to the desired ends, since Mars in Taurus is truly the irresistible force and/or the immovable object, sometimes at the same time!
As Taurus stabilizes what began in Aries, and Mars represents actions to pierce through inertias, expect activities that substantiate and confirm recent initiatives and beginnings that began in March and April. Keep developing fields that opened then, keep the disciplined activity going, figure out what you need to sustain the momentum, all while finding ways to enjoy yourself.
It's very important to be mindful of what happens from now through May 25, since the next two weeks shows us what Jupiter will expand or launch beginning June 4-5 2011. The events that commence then begin to solidify the visions and promise of March, April, and May 2011, and will hit a threshold by late August where we'll see what we want to cultivate, what we don't, what we have, and what we haven't.
From there we review the openings and expansions of June, July, and August, tending what needs tending, and letting go of what we've neglected that has no potential. Through reflection and filling in some gaps we'll be ready to show our expertise in those new developing areas of early 2011 from January through March 2012, after which many things related to our new beginnings will be confirmed.
For the next two weeks, people born the last 10 days of April, July, October, and January are having the most significant changes and/or dynamic challenges, along with people having sensitive points and planets in the first 10 degrees of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. Of course, if you have a planet in these degree spans, please slow down, take it a bit easier than usual, and refuse to be baited into impulsive, hasty, or actions that haven't been well thought out.
Those with Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto all in the first 10 degrees of the Fixed signs will be profoundly "provoked" into a form of "right action" over the next two weeks. Generally speaking these groups include those born 8/1938-8/1947, 10/1953-10/1954, 7/1955-3/1956, 6/1956-1/1963, 5/1969-4/1970, 11/1974-4/1975, 9/1975-10/1977, 11/1983-9/1988 and 2/1991-2/1992.
The important thing about the previously mentioned birth years having something activated over the next two weeks is that the same groups will find expansions, adventures, ideas, and openings coming after the first week of June lasting through March 2012. So be alert to positive action now, since it will sprout wings from June on!
Those born late April face the end of a 2 year cycle and the beginning of a new one. Those born late July are culminating a cycle that began Autumn 2009 but got delayed until March 2010. Those born late October face new partnership initiatives, and those born late January are seeing the first emergence of an important part of their future.
A brief look shows the last week of May through the Summer Solstice in late June gives us a brief heads up for the period from the Vernal Equinox in late March 2012 through June 11, 2012, when Jupiter leaves Taurus and enters Gemini. From late May through late June shows us what Jupiter will track during the Spring of 2012.
So while Mars is in Taurus, get into harness and be willing to work as long as it takes to get your momentum solidified. Avoid intransigent people, try not to get frustrated at situations that get bogged down, and be willing to refocus your efforts so they are easier, more natural, and more enjoyable.

ThankYou Robert Wilkinson !!!
When clear and uninterrupted focus is directed to the moment by moment experience and the process of succession, the higher knowledge of what is really going on is revealed. One comes to see the nature of the movie production of the mind and virtually the whole of the creation process. This opens the door to the realization of the Truth - Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

Rats! Baited, that's the word I've been looking for this week. A little grrrrrr going on here. It's over, but I still beat myself up a bit for getting hooked by the lure.

Wow! Thanks. I feel like you're talking directly to me with Sun at 7 Leo and Saturn at 8 Taurus. Great advice just when I needed it. I'm encouraged that some of these cycles are finally leading somewhere (oh the work I've done to make sure that's the case. Saturn would even be slightly proud of me)!

From an astrology forum this morning, May 11:
There was a major planetary alignment this morning at dawn. Mercury, Venus, Jupiter and Mars were all aligned.
On May 13, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter will align in a triangle. On May 20, Mars, Venus and Mercury will be in a triangular position.
Would you please respond to this, Robert?

Hi all - On the road in N. CA, so these answers will be brief.
Hi Jorge - Patanjali is one of those sources that could lead anyone to a much expanded state of awareness! Thanks for the quote.
Hi Caliban - Well, part of learning self-control is not to take bait that we shouldn't. Of course, beating oneself up doesn't help us not take the bait. Better to just walk on.....
Hi reefaroundme - Sure. Just watch out for new Dharma revelations as Mercury, Venus, and Mars cross Saturn, since when Jupiter moves across it you're in for a new 12 year purpose. Time to let go of the unimportant and move into something of greater import.
Hi Kathryn - The alignment is the Aries cluster I've been writing about off and on for several months. As for the triangle, that's a function of a shift in both longitude and declination. They appear triangular, but in reality are still in a separating conjunction. They should be in a fairly close line longitudinally, but beginning to separate by declination. And of course, now that Mars is in Taurus, it's beginning to separate in a significant way from Jupiter, even if Mercury and Venus are beginning to catch up to Mars, making the conjunction in the near future around 7-8 Taurus. Whatever is signified by those conjunction beginnings will be boosted in a big way once Jupiter enters Taurus in early June.
