I've written quite a bit recently about these topics, and thought we should revisit some of them, since ultimately these condition our experience of reality.
First, here's an interesting piece on How Meditation May Change the Brain. We now definitely know that meditation creates certain healthy patterns of neural function while diminishing those nerve centers associated with stress and depression. By all means, check it out again!
From there we move into an article addressing some factors in the eternal human necessity of learning how to know the difference between fact and opinion. For your reconsideration, Perception, Discrimination, and Finding Accurate Knowledge.
A natural corollary to the previous article, we're always learning how life and perception condition our material reality, and throughout our lives have to adjust to changing experiences. To that end, here's Desire, Perception, and Matter - An Eternal Human Problem of Learning To Adapt Our View and Methods to Life.
The next two were really conceived as one long article, but it seemed more appropriate to break it into two themes to make it an easier read. For your reconsideration,
and
Uranus and Saturn - Inspiration and Reality, Freedom and Dharma
Of course, these few articles could never cover all the topics mentioned, but at least we've opened the door to some interesting speculations! And there are many more on all these things in the archives for the gold miners out there.....

I found this meditation to be pretty good for me:
Inner Warrior Meditation By Andrew Duncan
This Meditation is designed to help get in touch with the Inner Warrior the energy symbolised by the planet Mars.
Mars is the planet in astrology symbolising the drive or energy which is the power to get what we need to stay alive. It is an energy which one way or another we can often misuse and not for nothing is it named the flight or fight reflex.
The meditation will give an experience of how we feel about this reflex. It may be too passive in which case flight will often be the first option. If it is a Mr or Mrs Angry we carry about inside then fight will more often than not be the option of choice.Perhaps fear of letting go and a need to keep Mr Mars chained up or an inability to be able to keep him under control are causes of concern.
