It seems we are in one of those time spaces I have termed "the in-betweens." This is the moment between breaths, between steps, between thoughts, and between life chapters.
If you are impatiently waiting for an answer, a response, a clear vision, a sense of definite movement into something you haven't glimpsed, understood, or captured, you're in "the in-betweens." The trick is not to get hooked into counterproductive emotional and mental states while we're waiting for the unknown to manifest.
Whether a minute, a day, a month, a year, or a decade, we find ourselves in the in-between place throughout our lives. It's actually a great time to meditate, contemplate, and understand our larger life mythos, if we don't allow fear, impatience, or frustration to jam our mental and emotional gears.
Many feel like elements of the old have ended, but the new isn't yet manifest. In manifesting a new way to do or be, Spirit works out in specific ways. When we "send out the call," or do an intention to manifest a higher way to be, Spirit always answers, though sometime it is in strange and mysterious ways.
This is how the "call and response" works out when we have declared an intention to Spirit and did our follow-up work. If we prepare, send out the messages, make the calls, do the research, implement the plans, and stay open to something presenting itself we may not easily recognize or understand, then we are sure to find ourselves in a new world of activity once the "in between" time is fulfilled.
Once we have done our due diligence to the process of moving into the future with intention and clarity around process, then we must wait while staying alert to opportunities to further the movement into the future. Here impatience and frustration with the process of "not knowing" can be very counterproductive.
Remember that much of what this life on Earth is about is being of good will and good humor as we move and groove through the intersections of Fate and Free Will on our journey of eternal learning and evolving. "Not Knowing" is hardwired into the human condition, and is related to the "Great Mystery" of life in forms. When we "don't know," then Isis has entered the classroom.
As you wait in "not knowing," overlook nothing simply because it doesn't fit a preconceived notion of what your future should look like. Sometimes we must simply wait for Spirit's response to our affirmation. During these times we can read, train, learn, and enjoy! So take a deep breath and relax - and let go of any fear associated with "not knowing."

Thank you, Robert! Once again you have hit the proverbial nail on the head. For many years this in-between time has not been easy. When praying for help to move past it, I try to remember the old saying: Be careful what you ask for. As you have pointed out - there is more to come!
Sending love and light and gratitude.

Thanks again Robert for reminding me of the "in-betweens." I recently heard on a CD of Pema Chodron about results of a study that said that people are more afraid of uncertainty than of physical pain. That rang true for me. So I need your sensible:
So take a deep breath and relax - and let go of any fear associated with "not knowing."

Thank you, Robert. Nice to know I'm not the only one who struggles with what you so appropriately call "the in betweens." Also relieved to know I intuitively understood what the "in between" time requires. Best of all, you've eloquently assured me that Spirit will indeed respond. I'm listening. Blessing to you.

Your words could not have come at a better time - my anxiety level is so high - you have helped my own personal "in-between". Thank you.

P.S. Would you be able to expand a bit more on "Isis has entered the classroom"? Thanks

Thank you Robert for all your articles! I experience the in-between space as a very sacred time of psychic displacement, old parts of the Self are leaving the stage even involuntarily and new elements are waiting to be taught how to perform. Once I had the insight that during this void the Gods are having long discussions about my destiny, about who is going to take over! The big challenge is to harness the powerful animal emotions that build up... to become a Centaur, a creature who has found its center.

Thank you Robert! It is true we are in-between and sometimes it is difficult not to move on as quickly as I would like...! Great lessons for me with my Sun in Aquarius and my Moon in Aries ;-))

The timing of this couldn't be more perfect bc on 6/22 rather than being promoted, I lost my job. I have a sense of calm bc I know that phase of me has most likely ended and now I await to see where the road takes me. This gives me courage. xoxo K

Hi Robert,
I think the gap between two things is a great place to be. I like to hang out here as much as possible.
I am the Observer and the Object that is Observed.
Standing in the middle and integrating these two ideas gives a perspective that is both fullness of consciousness and the total emptiness from which all things originate.
I often ask myself, "Am I free enough not to know?"
Here's to duality and it's expression in our lives. And here's to the freedom of being in oneness outside and inside of it.

Dear Robert,
This is an excellent way to describe what I have been feeling for more than a year. since Mum became ill and is living "in between" with the direct result that so are we!
We take care of her ever so lovingly, but our life became through these almost 15 months completely "imprisoned" since we cannot leave her alone and must help her we everything. She no longer walks and has to be carried from her bed to a wheel chair and from that to WC, etc..
The curious thing is that Mum has had Saturn already exactly in its third return (16 Libra)a moment where it seemed she was going to leave us - but as Saturn retrograded, the "in between" moment seemed to grow and grow...
She has a strong practice of compassion and goodness which is admirable: all these months, we never heard her complain or irritate herself, she thanks everybody for what we do (which of course is not needed, but it is in her sweet nature to always value what anybody does for her). Our Princess, even if her body seems old and broken, is an example to cherish and Love.
In the mean time, Saturn is again advancing, Pluto is already opposing her natal Pluto (10 Cancer) Neptune has passed opposition to itself, Jupiter is now also opposing natal Jupiter and this Cardinal square, when the Sun will be conjunct her natal Pluto in a few days, it will also be opposed current Pluto, square current Uranus and square Saturn approaching for the third time her return degree.
Last Full Moon occurred within one degree of my Ascendant but still in my 12th house.
It is difficult to have life so hindered by all this, but at the same time it is being a tremendous learning experience about love and the example of her spiritual nature.
Love,
Isabel

Oh my gosh Robert… Thank you!!! I really needed this clarification for the bazar energy that i've been going thru the last week or two.. mainly the last week… u do have to keep your mind occupied and busy and i'm finding that a lot of reading and learning about things as well as creative endeavors really de-bunk that fear and impatience that impede on the thoughts and spirit….we are all so lucky to have your writing and teachings…

Isabel- can't help but to comment on such a touching article about your mother. you have done her great honor. i went through the same thing with my mother two years ago. it was definitely an "in-between" and an experience everyone goes through in life. you are growing by leaps and bounds and this is a gift from her to you. blessings to her, to you and your family! :)

This is perfect timing. As a Capricorn with every possible under 5 degree connection to the Cardinal Grand Cross I have been upgrading my meditative skills.
Thank you.
