As I explained in Part 1, the Full Moon of Sun in Gemini and Moon in Sagittarius is is the third of the "High Moons," when the World Teacher magnetises a new form of loving-wisdom. This one shows us what to let go of and what to anticipate in the way of a growth into a greater life and truth.
Today's article will cover rising signs around the globe, an overview of the Lunation, and the Sabian Symbols. Part 3 will cover the aspects, configurations and patterns, and which signs are most likely to be affected by where this falls in their charts.
This truth-seeking distributive Full Moon occurs 15 June at 1:14 pm PDT, 4:14 pm EDT, and 9:14 pm in Greenwich. The Lunation finds 29 Virgo rising in Santa Monica, 26 Virgo rising in Vancouver, 3 Scorpio in Washington DC, 25 Sagittarius in Rio, 25 Sagittarius in London, 29 Sagittarius in Amsterdam, 6 Capricorn in Berlin, 5 Capricorn in Tallinn, 29 Capricorn in Sofia, 7 Aquarius, 17 Aquarius in Cairo, and 30 Aquarius in Johannesburg.
Moving into Asia and Oceana, we find the Ascendants to be (on June 16) 21 Aries in New Delhi, 17 Aries in Trivandrum, 15 Taurus in Bangkok, 3 Gemini in Hong Kong, 5 Cancer in Tokyo, 16 Taurus in Perth, 7 Gemini in Melbourne, 19 Gemini in Brisbane, 30 Gemini in Wellington, and 24 Leo rising on Maui (June 15).
Because the New Moon preceding the Full Moon always represents the seed forms that are brought to surface at and after the Full Moon, please check out The Solar Eclipse at 12 Gemini June 1-2, 2011 Pt. 1 - Who Does It Affect and for How Long. And of course there's more at The Solar Eclipse at 12 Gemini June 1-2, 2011 Pt. 2 - How Will It Manifest? and The Solar Eclipse at 12 Gemini June 1-2, 2011 Pt. 3 - Letting Go of the Old and Opening to the New.
Those around the world who will definitely feel effects of this Full Moon are the places where it falls near the angles of the chart. Places where the Lunation is near the angles and activating energies powerfully are the west coast of North America, eastern South America, the UK and Western Europe, Iran, Hong Kong, Australia, and New Zealand.
As we are still under the influence of both the July 2010 Solar Eclipse in Cancer, the January 2011 Solar Eclipse in Capricorn, and the recent June 1 Solar Eclipse in Gemini, you may also want to review the numerous articles in the archives concerning those long term influences. As several planets in this chart harmonize, reconcile, or stabilize previously activated Eclipse points, many long term issues and endings can be understood from retrospective approaches.
Full Moons heighten feelings, and this one features a dual opposition of the Moon with the Sun and Mercury, and a wide opposition between Saturn and Uranus. While the latter opposition will never be exact again, it's still close enough for us all to be feeling this last blast from the past courtesy of "the Cosmic Centrifuge," which I've referred to in many articles. If you want to know more about this powerful effect throwing us away from certain people, habits, and realities and throwing us toward others, please refer to Pt. 3 of the recent Solar Eclipse articles.
Of some major importance is that Jupiter recently triggered New Grand Irrationality directives. We've all been challenged to choose wisely despite the general weirdness and hard edge to things. The recent New Moon Solar Eclipse stepped the energy up as it fell in the Gemini zone of the Grand Irrationality, and so many strange and "destiny-producing" events have quickened to warp speed, throwing us all in major new directions. The whole world is at a critical turning point where we must find compassionate ways to link with others to assist the whole to survive through a rough patch.
This is the ninth Full Moon Sun that falls in the same sign as the previous New Moon, continuing to offer us a consistent (and "natural") way of experiencing the New Moon-Full Moon sequence. We had Full Moon Suns in different signs than the previous New Moon from July 2009 through September 2010. We'll have the current sequences of the New Moon Sun being in the same sign as the next Full Moon Sun through May 2012, after which it will again reverse function and the Full Moon Sun will be the same as the following New Moon Sun.
As I've explained in previous Full Moon articles,
... the Full Moon being in a subsequent sign than the previous New Moon indicates that what is released as realizations in the Full Moon period actually "prepare the ground" for the coming New Moon seed. Strange reversal of function, since you would think the New Moon provides the seed for the next Full Moon. But this set of Lunations works the opposite way....Another way to look at this is the Sun sign of the Full Moon is the same as and precedes the Sun sign of the next New Moon, reversing the usual way Lunations work. So the fulfillment of the Full Moon sets up the next "seed" to be revealed at the next New Moon....
So now the New Moon-Full Moon cycle is "back to normal," in the sense that now we have the illuminated form shown to us at the New Moon which is fulfilled by the light of the same sign at the subsequent Full Moon. The New Moons will all fall in the first half of their signs and the Full Moons will all fall in the last half of their signs from now through May 2012. Seeds shown in the first half, fulfillment in the second half makes some kind of sense.
This Full Moon Lunar Eclipse falls at 25 Sagittarius-Gemini. It is said that the last third (decan) of any sign deals with the individual, mental, and spiritual levels of life, and being the third decan of those signs, invokes a sub-influence of Aquarius and Leo.
Since the Moon always focuses the light of the Sun in specific forms, the degree symbols for both are important. The Sun degree is the illumination or enlightenment of the Lunation, whereas the Moon shows us the potential forms that enlightenment will take.
The Solar degree symbol for the 25th degree of Gemini is "A man trimming palms." Rudhyar ways this is a degree of our capacity "to control (our) environment and the impulses of (our) most intense nature." Here we show "active care for possessions."
In the Mandala he goes on to say this is a degree of "bringing under control nature's power of expansion," where we shape outreaching forces by "pruning." This is where we take what we have discovered and shape it so that others can see something of our inner vision and symbols.
So we are now illuminated at this Christ Fest by what we trim back and how we shape the natural outward expression of our view and understanding. He says this degree falls in the Span of Restlessness, Act of Differentiation, and Scene of Exteriorization on the Social-Cultural level.
Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, says this is a degree of "pride in effort" where we seek to leave our "immortal stamp on the world" and bend natural resources to our will. Here we enlist "every beauty and capacity of nature" to reveal our aesthetic sense.
He goes on to say that "the harmony between the workman and his materials becomes gratifying evidence of the soul's powers" justifying the effort. He offers the keyword ENHANCEMENT, and states that when operating positively, the degree is "an exceptional gift for bringing all things to an effective service in some special aspect of over-ll achievement."
The Lunar degree symbol for the 25th degree of Sagittarius is "A chubby boy on a hobbyhorse." Rudhyar says this is a degree of "growth through vicarious imaginative experiences," "detachment from reality," and "self-conservation."
He goes on to say that this degree is about anticipating the "enjoyment of powers (we) can only as yet dream of utilizing" offering us the foreshadowing of skills we are developing in our imagination as preparation for doing them in the future. Here the "to-and-fro" rhythm arouses our inner powers, and "make-believe and growth through the imagination."
He continues that this degree represents an initiation through imagination "active at the organic body level." Here we play within greater expectations, even though these may be unconscious. He says this degree falls in the Span of Detachment, Act of Group Integration, and Scene of Transference on the Social-Cultural level.
Dr. Jones says this is a degree of "the ambition by which we manage "to leave (our) immortal stamp on the world," here demonstrated by our "desire for a fullness of living and a perfection of accomplishment." Here we employ "whatever means are available" to show our skill at achieving an "expanding self-fulfillment," and in our play and training we learn to keep our eyes on the prize.
He offers us the keyword EMULATION. He states that when operating in a positive manner, this degree "is an indomitable determination to give the lesser potentialities of existence a more effective dimension."
From these symbols it seems we can see the light of using natural resources in creative ways that reveal something of our purpose for being here and what we truly care for. These can express as forms that anticipate future skills and powers to be demonstrated on emotional, social, and cultural areas of experience.
We can find illumination in being aware of how things are expanding and being communicated as we stand on the threshold of decisions that will reorient us all in different ways to stabilize recent beginnings. This can take shape through how and what we believe to be truth or a greater future, and how we use our imagination to play with skills that will become powers in the future, with the purpose of showing our world our ability to play with rhythms of activity as we keep our eyes on the prize.
On a final note, as I mentioned yesterday this second Full Moon of Spring is one of the "3 High Moons" occurring each year that offer the world a new infusion of Light, Dharma, and Love. To recap, the Full Moon of Aries/Libra brings the renewal of the life force for the year. The Full Moon of Taurus/Scorpio, known as the Wesak Festival, brings a new outpouring of the "Cosmic Buddha Nature" that brings all a renewal of the qualities that Sage brought to humanity to lessen suffering for all sentient Beings.
For now, enjoy the discoveries that show you what to anticipate and how to use the play to cultivate skills for the future. Here you can become part of sharing and distributing a greater social vision or information needed by others, and can find excitement in using your imagination creatively. This Christ Fest blessing will help us prune back some areas of expression so that we can get ready to use a different skill set in the near future.
In Part 3 we'll cover the aspects, configurations, and which degree spans will be impacted by this Full Moon. See you soon!

Your Highness,
What are the orbs if the moons hits a planet?

Thanks Robert,
This looks like it will be an interesting Lunar Eclipse. It conjuncts my Jupiter in Sagittarius and squares my mars in Libra so I will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Hi Robert,
Thank you for ALL the information on the Current Eclipse. Will the Eclipse have any influence on my natal chart if I have the Medium Coeli at 26 degrees Sagittarius? Thank you again!
Cynthia

Robert, i was wondering.. "why don't you post a chart-natural wheel would be fair and easy, as anybody would be able to overimpose it on their natal chart?" just a thought.
thank you for you wisdom~~ namaste~~rose
