The Full Moon of Sun in Gemini and Moon in Sagittarius is is the third of the "High Moons" occurring each Spring, a time when the World Teacher, a.k.a. "the Christ," pours forth new forms of loving-wisdom into the world that offers all a great leap forward in awareness of Higher things.
The 3 High Moons begin at the Aries-Libra Full Moon of Spring. The life arising then takes shape in a wisdom form of the "Eternal Buddha Nature" at the next Full Moon in Taurus-Scorpio, known as the Wesak Festival. At this third High Moon the World Teacher takes that wisdom and infuses it with the Loving magnetism so that all may become more lovingly wise and wisely loving according to the lesson of the year. This magnetism is then distributed to the entire world, where it influences the next 9 months. To find out more about the energies of the recent Wesak Festival of 2011, please check out the articles on the 2011 Taurus-Scorpio Full Moon Wesak Festival at the end of this post.
Because this is the Christ Fest, this Full Moon is where the "World Teacher" distributes the wisdom poured out at the Wesak Festival, we can expect a new world teaching appropriate to human needs to come forth over the next two weeks as well as the next 12 months. The qualities of the "3 High Moons" are active for a longer span than all the other Full Moons of the year.
As a result of the recent Solar Eclipse, this Lunar Eclipse, and the coming Solar Eclipse a couple of weeks from now, we have entered a period where we are shutting down old Gemini energies and growing toward new Sagittarius energies. Let go of old ideas and interpretations, and be pulled into broader views, broader truths, broader understanding, and broader futures. When in doubt remember that a sense of humor solves many mental problems.
This very bright Total Lunar Eclipse will begin a several month "shut down" in the houses it occupies in our charts. Given that it happens during the period Saturn is going stationary direct, you can bet that your evolving archetypal role is on the move, so be kind, be understanding, and be willing to get beyond terms, language, and specific forms of ideas and see people for the human beings they are.
We had a prelude to what's happening in this one in the Lunar Eclipse of December 2010, and began to release or demonstrate patterns directly associated with this one. The clearance we began then anticipated the bigger, longer-term endings set into motion at the Solar Eclipse in January 2011 that was boosted by the Solar Eclipse of 2 weeks ago.
So like most Lunar Eclipses, this one ushers in a transitional period of about 3 2/3 months that will clear things out of our lives, and especially our past (the Moon). The space created can attract circumstances and people through which we can develop skills helping us deal with the wild ride of The Grand Irrationality that's in continuous motion during these months and years.
From the NASA site:
The first lunar eclipse of 2011 occurs at the Moon's ascending node in southern Ophiuchus about 7° west of the Lagoon Nebula (M8). The Moon passes deeply through Earth's umbral shadow during this rather long event. The total phase itself lasts 100 minutes. The last eclipse to exceed this duration was in July 2000. The Moon's contact times with Earth's umbral and penumbral shadows are listed below.Partial Eclipse Begins: 18:22:56 UT
Total Eclipse Begins: 19:22:30 UT
Greatest Eclipse: 20:12:37 UT
Total Eclipse Ends: 21:02:42 UT
Partial Eclipse Ends: 22:02:15 UT
Penumbral Eclipse Ends: 23:00:45 UT
At the instant of greatest eclipse the umbral eclipse magnitude will reach 1.6998 as the Moon's centre passes within 5.3 arc-minutes of the shadow axis. The Moon's southern limb will lay 54.2 arc-minutes from the edge of the umbra while the northern limb will lay 22.3 arc-minutes from the umbra's edge. Thus, the northern regions of the Moon will probably appear brighter than the southern regions that lie deeper in the shadow. Since the Moon samples a large range of umbral depths during totality, its appearance will change dramatically with time....
Nearly 30 years ago (1982 Jul 06), the author watched another total lunar eclipse with the Moon in the same part of the sky. I was amazed at how brilliantly the summer Milky Way glowed since it was all but invisible during the partial phases. Observers will have a similar opportunity during June's eclipse. In this case, the totally eclipsed Moon will lie in southern Ophiuchus just 8° northwest of the brightest Sagittarian star clouds. The summer constellations are well placed for viewing so a number of bright stars can be used for magnitude comparisons with the totally eclipsed Moon.
Antares (mv = +0.92v) is 15° to the west, Shaula (mv = +1.63) is 14° south, Epsilon Sgr (mv = +1.85) is 15° southeast, Arcturus (mv = -0.05) stands 55° to the northwest, and Altair (mv = +0.77) is 46° northeast of the Moon.
... The entire event will be seen from the eastern half of Africa, the Middle East, central Asia and western Australia. Observers throughout Europe will miss the early stages of the eclipse because they occur before moonrise. Fortunately, totality will be seen throughout the continent except for northern Scotland and northern Scandinavia. Eastern Asia, eastern Australia, and New Zealand will miss the last stages of eclipse because they occur after moonset. Again, the total phase will be seen from most of these regions. Even observers in eastern Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina will witness totality. However, none of the eclipse will be visible from North America. At mid-eclipse, the Moon is near the zenith for observers from Reunion and Mauritius.
So because the Eclipse lasts 3 hours and 39 minutes (total for 1 hour 40 minutes) and is extraordinarily bright, it should be highly visible, a great light show, and definitely a very powerful Lunar Eclipse. You can bet many things really will be totally shut down forever! Expect the love-wisdom from this Christ Fest to be extraordinarily liberating, so get ready to leave some things behind that you no longer need to carry.
In Parts 2 and 3 we'll explore the Ascendants around the world, the qualities of the Eclipse, the Sabian Symbols, the aspects, configurations, and other specifics of this very powerful Christ Fest Lunar Eclipse Full Moon in Gemini-Sagittarius. Check back in tomorrow!

Your Highness,
That degree of Sag is my ninth house. "A Lunar Eclipse in the ninth house, your personal beliefs may be tested. Your hunger for adventure or learning may come into focus. All of the attention you've been giving to mundane affairs has you wondering when you're going to have some fun. You want to take a leap of faith now. There may be an important beginning or culmination in education. If you are in business, a writer, or the like, you might reach a wider audience."
So is "shutting down" mean the neg for the positive in this house?

Hello Robert
I'm an artist, and i've been working as a free-lance since 1994.
It's the first time in my life i'm unemployed for the past 13 MONTHS.
I live in Athens, Greece, were the lifes af all of us are becoming harder day by day.
Every day I work harder and harder to make my art better, to send e-mails, to find work. Nothing happens.
I have this eclipse conjunct my mc-mercury-neptune conjuction (mercury and neptune are at house 9), and my mc is at 19 sag, in opposition with my saturn-ic conjunction in house 4, gemini.
Please.. can I expect anything good from this eclipse about my professional future? Or art is not neccesary anymore in this banking- money system draining our lives away?
Am i useless..or just in despair? :(

I always appreciate your sharing the astrology of the eclipse cycles as these have been of interest to me especially this year...this month from the june 1, 2011 which began 803AD called 13 Old South and this Total Lunar coming up June 15 building to the NEW solar eclipse called 13 NEW south (saros 156) I feel the July 1 solar eclipse is the most important celestial event of our time to co-create the Shift of Ages and I have written about what I feel about this and dedicate this to Jose Arguelles and in hope that there will be a global visualization of the "Circumpolar Rainbow Bridge" at the 7:53am GMT that this NEW solar eclipse is born in the southpole to create the Rainbow Aquarian Age!
Please let me know what you think about what I wrote about it...writing is not my greatest gift and would like to have your feedback and your readers. The article is called "We can Bee the change We wish to Bee" July 1, 2011 on
