We now enter the heart of Sun opposing Mars, Venus opposing Saturn, and two Cardinal T-squares affecting everyone on Earth for the next 72 hours.
I spoke of this a few days ago in the article Astrology in February-March 2012 – Gear Jamming During A Sun Opposition Mars. Please revisit that to get a sense of what everyone's going through right now. I also note which age groups and birthdays are most affected.
This period when the Sun (Vitality, Life) is opposing Mars (Energy, Effort) is a great time to see how our Mars is functioning. If there is impatience, frustration, pushing and pulling internally or between externals in our life, or an inability to bring Self to effort at appropriate times, then you can bet there is a malfunctioning Mars. This is the time to bring "right effort" back into alignment with our Illumination or our integrity.
That doesn't mean all things are possible, or even that we are supposed to be doing anything other than whatever we've been doing to bring past actions and/or inactions to fruition. While the pace is slow, maybe even seems bogged down, at the same time there are things to be done in order to prepare for the time of Mars speeding up beginning Monday, March 5.
Venus is also opposing Saturn through Sunday from late Aries to late Libra. This can help us get clear about what responsibilities and voluntary limitations we value and which old rules and fears connected to resources and people we can let go of. This can help us see the value in focusing our potency in ways that will pay big results in the Autumn of 2012.
The Sabian symbols for the Venus opposition Saturn clearly indicate that we should learn to "listen to the inner voice," and embrace a value or something that has proved its worth resulting from the initiatives of April and May 2011. We all began some new directives, and this is the first time an inner planet has returned to late Aries since then.
This opposition can assist us to sense a greater mission, a greater purpose, and a greater way to relate to ideal of a better world. This will be the natural expression of a new ideal in relationships, and what qualities we'll be valuing in the future as we move into harmony with that greater "civilizing" influence.
That said, don't allow heaviness or rigidity to spoil what should be a time to understand what part we play in a greater wave of conscious evolution. And avoid tugs of war, passive (and active) aggressive people and situations, and get ready for a final period of reworking your methods, plans, and details as things begin to speed up over the next few weeks.
Additionally, Mercury just entered Aries, and is slowing, about to go retrograde on March 12, 0:49 am PDT, 3:49 am EDT, 7:49 am Greenwich (which doesn't go on daylight saving time until March 25, 1 am UT.) So this weekend marks a point where Mars begins to pick up speed as Mercury begins to slow. Still, after the two oppositions are past, we'll all begin to feel like things are again moving forward.
I'll of course be offering you quite a few articles about the coming Mercury retrograde next week, so that you can get prepared. Use next week to finish up paperwork, agreements, repairs, and purchases of electronics, and then prepare for the research, rehearsals, reversals, returns, and new insights coming once Mercury goes retrograde.
Also, on a final note about this weekend, the Moon is now in Cancer, squaring Uranus, opposing Pluto, and will form a T-square with Venus and Saturn on Sunday (Western hemisphere, UK, and western Europe) and early Monday (east of Central Europe). The early T-square with Uranus and Pluto challenges our balance, perspective, and sense of proportion, while the late T-square with Venus and Saturn challenges our self-discipline, organizational skills, and maturity.
As this cuts across both early and late Cardinal degrees, those most affected are those I mentioned in the linked article above, as well as anyone with planets in the first 10 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, as well as those with planets in the last 3 degrees of the same signs. This obviously affects just about everyone so be self-reflective, move slowly through the fogs and bogs, when in doubt don't, take a new look at a mission you might like to embrace, or find joy in valuing, and try not to take things personally, even when they are.
Figure out what you care about, and which habit patterns you want to shift. Put the brakes on whatever needs to slow down, and follow through on things that have been hanging for awhile. The gear jamming is about to clear!

Thank you for this Robert, a timely reminder. May I also offer something that may or may not be of help others. If anyone, like myself, is facing a situation where they may be confronted by the anger of a loved one that has stored it up, but now due to these energies they arent able to hold it in any more, but because a loved one you arent willing to choose to just step back, remind yourself of how much you love them by recalling that love from before things went sour and how much you would love to be in good relationship with them ahead, if it is divinely willed even if you need to hear some things you would rather not or may hurt. That if it is not so willed and the relationship is to end temporarily or permanently, that it will do so from the heart and always be open to healing if ever the time is right. Blessings to you and yours Robert and to all your members. kind regards Debbie

PS sorry, i had meant to offer the planetary placements in my chart that are triggering this in case it resonates with anyone else as i know how tough it is for me. I have sun and merc in early cancer, moon in early libra, asc late libra, saturn very late cap. So this all feels quite personal to me but also feels like it is a choice, to go back to the darkness of the past or to put it behind me and be me :)but it takes a lot of courage to not let that fear have you rooted to the spot.

Curious.... things are going great for me. Everything is falling into place and moving at a do-able pace. I have a sun Venus Neptune stellium from 1 to 10 Libra in the 4th. This is the apex of a natal Yod which also squares my Ascendant. This stellium is squared by T. Pluto and opposed by T. Uranus making Uranus the reaction point of the apex. T.Neptune and Jupiter should of activated the natal Yod big time. I've always dreaded the "fated" quality of the Yod .....maybe wrongly so. Could be I'm working my Saturn and Mars extremely well keeping that 8th house Aquarian Moon happied up.

Very activating Time!
I cleaned home, had gross country skiing, took a sauna, took outdoor photos, and planted seed indoor for summer.
I have been lonely, although happy, maybe therefore worked extra hard. All friends have been too busy, away or sick...
I have my radix venus at early cancer 10th and radix uranus at early libra in 1st.
Have to relax thought!! Hope this is soon over;)
I'm too old for this!

Hi all - Here are some personal reflections at this turning point in time. Overall, this has been a fairly productive Mars RX period these past 6 weeks, though it's really been more a "catch-up" period. If nothing else, the 2012 reports actually went out! Things have really slowed substantially, but I am getting more rest and gradually finding a new work pattern that was neglected before now. While some chart readings got postponed due to the lung stuff I went through, everything's still getting done.
I've had to assert myself in the face of what I believe were absurd claims - that created a set of thought patterns resulting in the two recent articles on the 7 Planes. It was the return of an old aggravation (Mars RX) in that I've been hearing for decades about magical ascension practices, new age enlightenment, people claiming to be perfect masters and jivanmuktas and other glamorous pronouncements. Of course, it's now decades later and most of the claims are still unsubstantiated while a lot of people have been suckered into thinking enlightenment comes over a weekend seminar or two, or by waiting for some magical point in time to "be high.".
This time also brought the return of a problematic relationship with someone who is both loveable and remarkably passive aggressive. (Still working through what's working and what's not and figuring out the most compassionate and appropriate responses....) It also brought about the return of a dear friendship with an extraordinary person who was my student back in ancient times, as well as another very old and dear friend who reminded me of things I used to teach that will be the subjects of classes to be offered sometime when I get my webinar capability up and running. Also had the return of someone else from old days that offered me some helpful suggestions about webinars. Now I just need to be three people to take care of all of this.
Obviously, all of these planets are triggering aspects to my natal planets. And the fact that it's two oppositions in double semisquares and double sesquisquares brings the metaphor of a log jam to mind.
Venus opposed Saturn was also semisquare to the Sun and sesquisquare to Mars. Sun opposed Mars was also sesquisquare to Saturn with Mars semisquare Saturn. The octile series aspects certainly precipitate movement! In this case it feels more like just trying to figure out which logs to move to get some flow given the size of the logjam. I do believe I've been able to apply just the right pressure in the right way and time to get some movement, which keeps me mindful that practice makes perfect.
And of course, not all is difficult! Jupiter is still trine Pluto, with Mars forming a grand Earth trine. That helps Mars become more productive and stable, thus enabling it to release energy through the semisquare and sesquisquare. Once Venus slips into its home sign of Taurus in a few hours, we'll all experience a sense that something has passed and things are again stabilizing for the best.
Anyway, just a few reflections on how this time has affected me.

Any comments about the supposed 6-pointed stars that happen this month?
Posted by: Diana | March 04, 2012 at 05:47 PM
Hi Diana - There are no 6 pointed stars this month, except for two days ago (Friday) when the Moon collected the light of the late Feb Sun in Pisces sextile Pluto and Jupiter. And then, only when the Moon was in early Cancer during the 30-40 minute period when early Scorpio was rising around mid-evening. Otherwise I see no 6 pointed star any time this month.
Even the coming days when Venus is sextile Neptune, it's not yet trine Mars. By the time the trine is exact, Venus and Jupiter are quintile Neptune, skewing the 4-5 points of the star out of orb. For ex, March 11-12 Moon is in early Scorpio, but nothing in Taurus sextiles anything in Pisces. The only point that might be relevant is when the Moon is in Pisces March 19-20 when it opposes Mars and sextiles Jupiter and Pluto, and then we still have Cancer and Scorpio voids, creating at most a 5 pointed star except in places where you find early Scorpio on the Ascendant with early Cancer on the MC, which may not even exist.
If you can name anything that creates a 6 pointed star at any point in March, please let me know.
