Once in a while I notice several astrological things going on, none of which warrants an entire article, but still need to be noted. Today we cover several factors to keep in mind at this time of the season.
First, we have a very powerful Sun opposition Saturn happening through this coming Monday. Oppositions usually bring tension and polarization, but also important things surface at the opposition between any two planets. This one allows the Light of Aries to balance the Structures of Libra and vise-versa.
Because Saturn is retrograde, this illuminates some things related to what we were going through in early December 2011. The opposition is at 27 Aries-Libra, giving us a clear look at how we can use our imagination to reclaim a “lost opportunity,” expressed as a transcendent peace and equipoise beyond the dualisms and stresses of life.
Since Saturn is in late Libra, the decan of “expiation” (atonement), our path to philosophical completion in play through early October now involves balancing something to “make it right.” Saturn retrograde through June shows that through the retrograde “looking back,” or return of something, we can balance some past structure that affected our karmas before now.
Pluto also recently went stationary retrograde at 10 Capricorn. This has planted a widespread seed connected to purifying ourselves to overcome fear in some way. It may be inner fears, or the fears of another, but we are all learning how to “radiate harmlessness.”
It is said that 10 Capricorn is about persuasion, kindness, and cultivating “a culture of spiritual values.” Perhaps the widespread inner purification that will happen during this period of Pluto retrograde can also help us remember these qualities in ways they can become powers once Pluto goes direct again in September.
Uranus square to Pluto helps each to release the energy of the other. The trick to a square is to learn to handle the volatility resulting from the friction, keeping the energies focused in productive ways. Right now we’re finishing some things before entering new adventures, allowing the old to give its energy to the emergent reality still being confirmed by Jupiter.
Other themes involve learning to visualize clearly what we want to move into, protecting what needs care while living on multiple levels simultaneously. See the cooperation between the visible and invisible worlds, understand the requirements of the new law in motion, see things from the past that “polished you to perfection” from a larger symbolic angle, and you should be able to catch a sense of relief. You will know you’ve made it through the rapids by late July in specific and clear ways.
Jupiter is exactly novile Uranus, showing some big things have to be put on hold while other things come in from the wilderness. The old answers cannot confirm the new conditions of existence, but since Jupiter is moving so fast, expect rapid developments involving future values and resources. Through the end of April, mobilize, clear out old assumptions and interpretations, purify your ego mind, and allow a new spontaneity to arise. You’ll see which way the “winds of destiny” are blowing by the end of the month.
Venus is about to enter the span in Gemini where it will be through the end of July. What it travels between now and when it goes retrograde in mid-May is where it will spend its retrograde period through late June. Venus will bring us new discoveries during its stay in Gemini, ultimately leaving us with several things melting down while other more stable constructions are going on that will yield even greater opportunities after Jupiter enters Gemini in June.
The period from April 3-23 has Venus in the same degree span as Jupiter will occupy between mid-June and late April 2013. Through Venusian signals, events, and people we should be able to see where a larger set of life adventures, opportunities, truths, and wider perspectives will begin to expand beginning June.
And on a final note for now, Mars direct in Virgo already begins to make a new Earth trine to Pluto, which should help things get done very efficiently and precisely through late May. Mars was also trine Pluto in this area of Virgo in late November, so consider this a resumption of something that was started then, but got put on hold these past 11 weeks.
Just remember it’s a time of hard adjustments and sacrifices indicated by Mars quincunx Uranus through early May. There are some unique “cosmic emergence” energies indicated by this, where a new global perception can be found that frees us from local conditions and narrow lines of thought. Just go deeper, concentrate, study the nature of the unconscious energies of self and others, and how it is influenced by collective consciousness. Breathe deep, get focused, and allow the birth of something new freed from old ways and conditioning.
Just a few things going on right now at the intersections of Fate Street and Freewill Street on Eternity Boulevard….

ps - Things will quicken significantly from here on. Mercury's speeding up, Mars is speeding up, Jupiter's moving very quickly, and once the Sun opposed Saturn is done and Mercury re-enters Aries, find your balance and hold on, since it promises to be a wild ride! Venus will begin to slow noticeably in a few weeks, but that's another story for another article.

This is great article, but how should we "see" Venus in conjunction with South Node?
And Venus is very close to the next eclipse point. Can we see glimpses of some future events trough Venus maybe?
Thanks

Hi yzse - Venus conj SN helps us see old Venus patterns we can let go of, or show us the line of least resistance. And yes, Venus is heralding future Gemini events, just as Mercury is finishing up the old Pisces understanding and experience.

Thanks Robert! I hope things will speed up soon...

Levels are tricky. Sometimes dizzying. I don't know whether or not to pay heed and try to understand what I am hearing from others. Perhaps it's a question of putting my own well being first. Not always so good at that.

This is great, Robert. Wish that you would do it more often. Thanks.

This is soooo helpful, thank you Robert!! I tried to make the most of mars rx and mercury, the past few weeks I have accomplished more than I have done for many years. I tried to see what I have been doing wrong (for at least two decades) and now gradually doing a u turn...so liberating, since I began to see the results emerging. Being discriminating in what's important has been my saving grace, with my ego out of the equation. Look forward to new beginnings, blessings to you all, this site is indeed the best!!!!!

This is my 1st blog ever but... so interested to have your assessment of what the sun-saturn imposing on my natal aries sn - libra nn (28º) conjunct also aries MC - Libra IC (not to mention uranus @ 0º leo conjunct ascendant). I´ve been in an international new tech deal that has had me in chains since I started it in Aug. 2006, due to associates in a conspiracy trying to circumvent since at least Jan. 2007. It´s still not over yet, simce info keeps coming out of the woodwork...Would have loved to have gotten out many times since then, if I hadn´t been President of the corp and not able to trust anyone else! The heavy work on relationships has been absolutely my number one difficulty!
