Do We Have Free Will, Do Good and Bad Luck Exist, What About Karma and Fate, and What We Can Do About These to Make A Better Life?

Since we are in a period that seems highly dominated by "fate," and some wonder about just how much "free will" we have, I figured it was time to take a new look at things I listed in the title. Can Astrology predict success or failure? What part does “free will” and “fate” play in Astrological predictions? Let's take a new look at these things and more.

First, an article I wrote about a year ago examining the part Astrology plays in predicting whether we are "destined" to accomplish something or not. For your review, here's Can Astrology Predict Success and Failure? Is It Fate or Free Will?

From here we segue into a theme we have explored across many years and articles, all pulled together into a somewhat coherent narrative for your renewed consideration. I think "family-karma" can sometimes be quite strong..and that some individuals have to "fix things" for several generations back..And you also have the karma of the society you live in - your country..!

Destiny and free will... they both exist. However, there are misconceptions regarding both in this world. The Truth is they are both complementary to one another and are meant to work together. We all incarnate into our lives that we live on this planet, we reincarnate from past lives and we come into this plane again called Earth to fulfill a mission we agreed with The Divine Him and Herself. It was agreed prior to our coming into this existence. We are born, we grow from the days of our earliest childhood, we live this existence referred to as Life. And to all this is a purpose, was and is a Divine Purpose. None of us are without it, different Life path to each one of us yes, but we all have it. This is our Destiny, the Destined life we are here to live - our mission, our purpose. And we know, learn and remember about this purpose as to why we are here, what did we come here to do and we recall our Destiny by connecting more and more to our Inner Souls, where The Divine lives and hence comes the term - our Inner Divine. The more we connect to our Inner Voice The Inner Divine the more awareness we achieve of our existence and the existence of the Universe around us. Once we become aware of what we are here to do that is our Destiny, then comes in Free will. In order to fulfill our destiny promised to us, we need to execute our Free will accordingly to what we hear in our Hearts. Hence, once we remember the Destined Path we are meant to walk, then we must use our free will to make that destiny happen, this is why free will was given to us to take actions but accordingly to what we hear in our Hearts and the Right way.
So where does the sorrows come from? the sadness and the pain? Free will does not mean we can go and do whatever we want, we can say whatever we want to say. Just as free speech does not mean we can now say bad words and disrespect others, free will also does not mean we can go and take negative actions. Because when we do that, we are creating bad karma to ourselves. When we are not connected to our Hearts meaning our Inner Divine and we only listen to our minds where the negativity takes refuge, we are at high risk of taking the wrong actions which will have bad consequences in the future and hence then becomes bad karma. When this happens, we can not blame God, The Divine, nor can we blame astrology or how the stars were arranged in the Heavens when we were born, although we do. When we are born, the stars in the Heavens shows the powers we are being born with. They represent the good and bad karma we have brought from previous lifetime. Along with this, we are also being born with a special purpose to fulfill in this lifetime we are incarnating. But this never means, that if you have bad karma from before , that now you are doomed. Or that if you have more good karma from before that you are guaranteed a great life. Because how you are going to use those powers in this lifetime, represented in the stars for you, will again depend on your free will and choice. And here we go back to the same, that if we listen to our Hearts and remember our Destined Path and then we execute our free will accordingly, then we will find the Eternal Happiness; even if we had a lot of bad karma from before, by listening to your Hearts and correcting our mistakes and taking actions now that resonates to our destined path, we will turn the bad karma into good karma. We have a choice which comes from the free will whether we want to use the powers in the Right way or the wrong way. If we use them in the Right way, we are creating Heaven on Earth that is our Destiny, if we do not, then we are simply piling up more and more negative karma which if not corrected using our free will, it will carry on to our next lifetimes. However eventually, as hopeful as I always am, we all will come back to the Divine and become positive people. Because even when we make mistakes creating the bad karma, there will come a time when we will have to pay the consequence one way or the other and when we do, we always learn. For, every mistake gives us a chance to learn again and become better on our journey to the Eternal Divine Happiness.
