And also the Vernal Equinox down under!! The Autumnal Equinox occurs Sept 22, 2012, at 7:49 am PDT, 10:49 am EDT, 3:49 pm Greenwich daylight time, marking the end of Summer and the beginning of Autumn in the Northern Hemisphere. It is said that a chart done for this point in time offers a snapshot of the cosmic and literal weather for the next 3 months.
Today is the last day of Summer in the Northern Hemisphere, the last day of Winter in the Southern. There is an old tradition that offers us two times when "the year begins," one at the Vernal Equinox, the other at the Autumnal. Perhaps that tradition came from explorers who saw the seasons flip between the Northern and Southern, going from the beginning of warm to the beginning of cold as they moved up and down the latitudes.
This is an excellent time for looking at what has ended and what is emerging. We up North have done our Summer labor, and are reaping the harvest of what we've done and not done. In the Southern latitudes, they're beginning to plant the seeds that will grow over the next 180 days.
So if you're "down under," it's the beginning of Spring and beautiful weather. Just remember to have a little compassion for us up here when December 21-22, the Winter Solstice, rolls around and we're freezing while you're enjoying the beach!
Whether North or South, keep following through on the emergent archetypes you've already begun to live, since this is the time to transfigure our future into more perfect forms. Regardless of where we live, what follows explores elements we all can expect to experience over the next 13 weeks.
The charts for the Solstices and Equinoxes provide guideposts for what we can expect the following 90 days in the way of weather, both actual and symbolic. This Autumn Equinox chart shows a majority of planets in the first decan of their signs, with three in the second and two in the third decan of their signs. This indicates a three month period of activity involving a lot of actional, physical, and material focus, with a lesser degree of social, cultural, intellectual, and spiritual focus.
The nights will now begin to be longer than the days for 6 months to come in the Northern Hemisphere, with lengthening days in the Southern. The Sun is now in Libra, promising enhanced and expanded relationships and social interactions. We can find new ideals, new ways of measuring and evaluating the balance in things, and new perspectives that offer us a well-rounded understanding.
The outstanding quality of this Equinox chart is the Solar Cardinal T-square, vitalizing the dynamics of what Mercury has just shown us. We also saw this T-square this time last year, when the Sun, Mercury, and Venus moved through early Libra, opposing transiting Uranus and squaring transiting Pluto. All of these throw powerful energy into early Cancer, showing either the problem or the solution, depending on what’s happening in your life when these configurations occur.
This continues to help us fracture old habits and responses, and through integrating the energies involved we can see a whole different level of effectiveness and a larger life. These squares are directly related to the Cardinal T-squares of Summer when the inner planets opposed Pluto and squared Uranus. Then the void was thrown into early Libra. So by what we had to deal with in Summer, it showed us what we’re dealing with now, and vise versa.
Examine issues of balance, fairness, proportionality, perspectives, and use the power of these to find forms of caring, nurturing, or protecting what you need and feel as a daily sense of how to move through life. We must use a balanced sense of things to address some need, or something we care about.
As with many of the Solstice and Equinox charts these past few years, it definitely indicates that the next 3 months will feature this T-square prominently, with more decisions helping us reorient toward furthering the emergent life purposes revealed since Summer 2010. The next 13 weeks do promise some kind of “unusual good luck” through facilitating cooperation between the visible and invisible parts of our life. Actively work with your invisible helpers and you may find life rewarding and fulfilling on two or more levels simultaneously.
As noted in previous Solstice and Equinox articles, Pluto will again prove important in the coming season, as it does in the charts at every change of season during this time in history. That's because Pluto has been in very early Capricorn, and thus square, opposed, or conjunct the Sun at every Solstice and Equinox chart.
It will still be a major influence at the Winter Solstice, but will no longer be in square at the Spring Equinox coming 6 months from now. In this chart it's still close enough to be in strong effect, especially with the very tight square from Uranus in early Aries to Pluto on its stationary degree. I’ve discussed this Uranus square Pluto recently, and you can find more at The 2012 New Moon in Virgo pt. 2 where I also discuss many of the aspects currently happening, as well as those that impacted the recent past.
These Sun-Pluto hard aspects at the Solstices and Equinoxes since 2007 have been challenging us all to find confidence in the midst of chaotic conditions, and use self-discipline and deep insights to pioneer in new directions. If the Solstice and Equinox charts show the weather patterns to come, this chart would seemingly indicate more extreme conditions are on the way, thanks to the nature of unpredictable Uranus creating friction with Pluto, the Cosmic Purifier!
A Sun square Pluto releases a lot of energy, and either blocks or propels events. That's because squares tend to put the brakes on some things, while indicating a "turning of a corner" in other things. Squares to Pluto often show things going out of control or something extreme happening that results in either a favorable purification or a grinding toxicity.
Given that Pluto is one of the anchors of The Grand Irrationality, when squared it releases a lot of energy precipitating situations that move people to make choices that propel them into their destiny. This of course began to roll forward in a huge way due to the Summer 2010 Cardinal T-square involving Pluto, and now that the Sun again occupies Saturn's late July-early August 2010 position, we can definitely expect things related to that T-square to power up!
I've written about the Cardinal squares and oppositions to Pluto in several Equinox and Solstice articles over the past couple of years. You can find out a lot via this article on the bigger picture involving Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto squares and oppositions at this time in history, and what everyone on Earth has been through the past few years. It also has internal links to other articles on each of the squares and oppositions and what they mean.
As it was composed during the T-squares of the earliest degrees, it is very relevant to what’s triggered at these Equinox and Solstice points. At the bottom of this one, I’ve included links to two more articles that can help explain why 2009-2011 turned everyone on Earth in new directions.
Now that we’ve examined the Sun-Pluto energies, let’s turn to Uranus. The Sun squared Uranus in the June 2010 Solstice chart, conjuncted it in the March 2011 Equinox chart, squared it again in the June 2011 Solstice chart, and opposed it in the September 2011 Equinox chart. It made the same aspects for the December 2011 Solstice and March 2012 Equinox charts as previously, but in the June 2012 Solstice chart the Sun was too wide to make a square.
However, now that Uranus has retrograded since July 2012, the Sun now again opposes it, creating a major line of tension between the Great Light and the Revolutionizer. Expect this season, like seasons past, to be one of major upheavals and revolutions! As we are at the mid-point of “the Winter of the 21st Century,” it’s safe to say that Humanity is in its “winter of discontent.”
In any Sun-Uranus affliction, there is a need to control willfulness and erraticism, and turn those high tension energies toward finding inner values that the world will recognize and reward, and stop making excuses for non-action. These energies help us rise to some urgency we care about, and bring forth our unique genius wherever this opposition falls in our charts. Develop "social intuition," and be wholehearted in pursuing "the goals that really appeal to you."
As with the passing seasons of preceding Equinox and Solstice charts, this is a time of decision, using our "free will" to demonstrate our wisdom and training as they have gestated over the long haul. It is a time when we can find a renewed sense of purpose and ways of creatively expressing that purpose as well as the higher genius of Self.
The planets in this chart are again in a combination of Splay and Splash Jones patterns, defined by the wide spread of which signs the various planets occupy. In this chart, as in the recent New Moon chart (article linked above), we have the outer planets occupying Capricorn, Pisces, and Aries, with the visible planets now occupying Gemini, Leo, Libra, Scorpio, and Sagittarius. You can find more about this at the New Moon article.
In this chart, Mars and Neptune are final dispositors, while Venus and the Sun are in mutual reception. That makes these planets very powerful, as they form the backdrop to various energies of the other planets. As there is a combination of frictional and productive aspects made between the planets in the chart, you can expect a blend of these qualities to be present over the next 90 days.
Since Venus rules the Sun it strengthens the Sun, and facilitates a more loving approach to all life and relationships. As Venus is on an alchemical degree, there will be a focus of the Light on how to use spiritual principles to solve everyday problems, as well as “forced awakenings” to enlightening potentials.
Much will be released in magical ways for those who know how to use the courage, faith, and devotional power of Mars to sever what must be severed to enter into unknown zones. We are all being led to see a bigger picture through linking past with present beauty and functionality to come to multi-level interlocking spiritual realizations, which I discuss a few paragraphs down regarding noviles.
The Crescent Moon in late Sagittarius in sextile to Saturn shows assertiveness will be in the air, with many needing to prove themselves and make some form of impression on their world. Many old forms will be challenged in the next 13 weeks, and we should see a shift from a purely personal focus to a focus on broader social concerns.
The Lunar sextile to Saturn will be very productive in blending the personal and professional, the need with the duty, the past with the present. This should show us how to link beauty and functionality as the more evolved build toward a more civilized future in concert with others who share their heart fire.
The Moon also makes an out of sign square to the Sun, sextile to Neptune, and conjunction with Pluto. Out of sign aspects indicate that a change in conditions must occur before the manifestation of those aspect energies will occur. These show we will have to learn how to compartmentalize our affairs so one thing doesn’t unnecessarily interfere with another part while learning to frame things as “both and” rather than “either or.”
Also take note of what was transforming you back in 2007, since the Moon in this chart is the same degree as Pluto was back then. Something related to then is the focus of the next 90 days.
The forming novile to Mars shows that as we “part the veil leading us into unknown zones,” there will be points where we get to pause, see how the longer process is gestating, and admire our own or another’s craftsmanship in whatever form it presents itself.
Besides the Moon, the other planets make a lot of forming aspects, showing us things to come over the next 13 weeks! Mercury noviles Mars, and also trines Jupiter, showing a favorable linkage or clear understanding between the Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces areas of our charts.
Spiritual understanding will come to those with planets between 8-10 degrees of Gemini, Libra, and Aquarius, 18-20 degrees of Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces, and 28-30 degrees of Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. Something that’s been cooking a while will finally be done, and if you have planets in these spans, prepare for some profound spiritual revelations and manifestations!
Venus’ big aspect is the square to Mars. This will most impact those with planets or points around 16-22 Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius. This aspect indicates an old way of doing our Being is culminating over the next 90 days, and we need friendliness, detachment, dispassion, simplicity, enjoyment, and a steady sense of how to ground our ideals in practical gentle action.
Don’t let momentary interruptions deflect you off your goals, and make sure you’re clear about what means you need to achieve your ends. Learn to get a steady coordination between your various affairs so you don’t get diverted, fit things into a long range broad view, and you should be able to keep things going despite the distractions.
The Solar T-square has already been discussed, and the only other forming aspect it makes is an exact quincunx to Neptune. This is an aspect that demands adjustments and sacrifices, and puts the focus squarely on the “health” of the collective consciousness. Something must shift in collective consciousness, so expect dramatic events to force sacrifices on everyone. Areas of growth and productivity involve simplicity and being ready to do what is natural even as things erupt all around us.
Mars is triseptile Jupiter, finishing it’s cruise through the Scorpio zone of the Grand Irrationality over the past week. If you want to know more there’s plenty from the articles of about a week ago. This triseptile shows it’ll be good for building collective enterprises that further cooperative activity, discovery, eliminating old methods while focusing on new innovations. Opportunities, blessings, protection, Grace, and a direct and focused understanding will open for those with planets or points around 19-22 Scorpio, 10-13 Capricorn, 1-4 Pisces, 23-26 Aries, 15-18 Gemini, 6-9 Leo, and 27-30 Virgo.
Other aspects include Mars sesquisquare Uranus and semisquare Pluto, Jupiter quintile Uranus and quadranovile Pluto, Saturn trine Neptune (out of sign), and the ever present Uranus square Pluto already discussed. Taken together it shows some agitation with internal crises along with some highly specialized gifts and unique conditions that will open many to impressions of the Ageless Wisdom helping them move beyond spiritual materialism into powerful new ideas and views that will help transform the outer affairs.
Especially if you have a planet or point around 4-8 Aries, 16-20 Gemini, 28 Leo-2 Virgo, 10-14 Scorpio, or 22-26 Capricorn, open to unique gifts and conditions, since magic is in the air! Be receptive to spiritual impressions, subtle feelings of higher awareness and comprehension, and embrace the steady growth leading you to a wisdom about deeper realities.
The separating Sun septile Mars and biseptile Jupiter, with separating Mars biseptile Neptune, shows the Grand Irrationality phase we've just completed. I explained what’s been going on more extensively in the recent article on the very important things that were happening between September 4-13.
Again, with Mars still forming its triseptile to Jupiter at this Equinox, while we may have completed some major decisions at a critical fork in the road of our destinies in the recent past, you can bet that the coming 13 weeks will bring further Martian and Jupiterian manifestations related to these recent choices. And since Jupiter occupies the part of Gemini that Neptune and Pluto will biseptile and triseptile respectively beginning February 2013, the next 3 months will give us preliminary Jupiter in Gemini manifestations of what will dominate the landscape.
General themes around the Mars triseptile Jupiter will show as events and ideas that help us transmute the physical into the power to build concepts, and transforming raw energy into ideas that externalize through actions. Mars will force us to have courage as it leads us into unknown zones, while Jupiter can lead us to new ideas that help us balance perspectives, and come to well-rounded understanding that can bring us a sense of relief.
The “Gates to Spirit” will be thrown open, and the ancient past will open new patterns of thought in the present. Eliminate egocentricity, fear, timidity, and clutching at useless emotions or toxic responses. This is the time to eliminate old ideas and stagnant thinking, and have courage as we venture into a more unified life and way of seeing things. Have faith, open to your intuition (inner heart-knowing), and go beyond familiar ways of interpreting things.
Whenever the thought strikes, synthesize the various views and understandings into a sense of the larger Stream within which sub-streams of ideas exist. It will be very easy to come to a well-rounded sense of the bigger picture, the greater ideal, the larger worldly work you admire and could contribute to. Pull back from projections, plan anew, get a sense of how the reality and the ideal can or cannot work together, and be faithful to yourself as you “rise above the vicissitudes of passing fortune,” as Rudhyar puts it.
You can also see the larger picture around the protective forms you brought into your life between March 2005 and January 2006 that were powered up in March 2009. These were the platform for the bigger life plan that developed beginning October 2009, upon which the new archetypes of our lives began to become crystallized in concrete forms. By late Summer 2010 these new archetypes were established, and are the foundations of our evolution since then. An article on this specific topic is coming next Thursday.
Other separating aspects of note, showing things we've just gone through, include Mercury septile Venus and Mercury's recent Superior conjunction with the Sun, which indicates we’ve all just seen critical developments wherever Taurus, Gemini, Leo, Virgo, and Libra fall in our charts. And of course, Mercury is just separating from the Cardinal T-square, discussed earlier. This would indicate major shifts in our view, understanding, and way of coordinating our emergent archetypes to a more effective balance.
All of this seems to indicate a productive and stable time for expanding into new perspectives, new ideals, new adventures, and a freer understanding of a bigger picture. Stay focused on who and what you truly care about, who and what truly cares for you, figure out a stable means of supply and base from which to operate, and those who find the right way to coordinate the visible with invisible world will experience “unusual good luck.”
By the end of this Season, we should all be seeing a much broader view of things while also being more focused, having eliminated many old considerations while moving into a wider view of things due to Mercury’s retrograde in Sagittarius and Scorpio. This is a season of transition, both in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, lasting until the Northern Hemispheric Winter Solstice on December 21st, 3:12 am PST, 6:12 am EST, 11:12 am Greenwich time.
Obviously, that point in time is important due to the larger galactic alignment that supposedly happens then. That Solstice does feature an exact Sun sextile Neptune and very tight Venus opposed Jupiter and Saturn sextile Pluto, so I suppose only long term good is produced by those aspects. We’ll just have to hang in there, keep our eyes on the prize, keep putting our best self forward, and not settle for lesser things when greater things are at stake. Very productive for elevating humanity through fiery eruptions that manifest heart energy.
So this season brings magic, relief, synthesis, winds of the Eastern Wisdom, and the need to move into the unknown with courage, faith, willingness while honoring the One that holds all things together. We are building toward a new society, new ways of living, new ways of working, new ways of relating, whether to each other, the Earth and Her creatures, the invisible world, or Life Itself.
It is a time to challenge old forms and move into a greater admiration and emulation of the Master Builders, those who went before us and created works of art that had a practical function. Make your life a work of art, and your art a work of life, and you perpetuate a beautiful functionality in your world. And remember, those who learn how to cooperate with the invisible world will have “unusual good luck,” so Buena suerte, and Godspeed!!
Aum and blessings as we stand on the threshold of a new season of life!
If you want to know more about the 2009-2011 period and why things were so crunchy back then, here are a couple that will help make things clearer:
There's more about the specific lessons of Saturn in early Libra square Pluto in early Capricorn, the structure for what the current T-square is about, in the article Is It Saturn Square Pluto That's Giving Me A Hard Time, or Something Else? And in Who Is the Saturn in Libra Square Pluto in Capricorn Most Impacting? you will see which birthdays and generations have been and continue to be impacted every time a Cardinal T-square is set into motion at this time in history.

Thanks for noticing the long lines - I feel all too restless to see them. Maybe because "in outside life" too much is going on. I wish to withdraw and relax. Hope to put foot down and take roots. An at the same time there is too little time when they were tear out....
Needs a peace of mind to settle down now!
I wish you all well - Because also I keep reading:)

Hi all - Thanks for your kind praise of the work. The initial move is complete, and now it's just the follow up trips to get everything we forgot or couldn't get the first two times. It seems all to depend on "the order of priority." The trick is to do what must be done exactly at the time it must be done, and not a week earlier or later.
Hi helina - I also had to learn to overcome agitation. Comes with a Sun conjunct Mars. Sometimes I also wish I could relax, but times being what they are...... As it has been said, "Guiding your vision to Heaven, and Heaven is in your mind."
Hi Wild Horse Running - Thanks. It's the end of a long ordeal. Sometimes when we're dealt a ton of lemons, we make the best whatever possible. And then we leave. Yeehaw!
Hi mmilliette - Muchas gracias por las deeksha blessings! May the Great Mother bless us all!!
