This Full Moon at 7 Scorpio-Taurus is stabilizing, penetrating, deep, and offers us all “a new quality of being which renders the old life obsolete.” Expect gentle de-structuring of old life orders, or the appearance of a new way to fill the voids created in the recent past. This one attracts forms of the “unusual good fortune” promised by our ability to open to our invisible helpers in the Autumnal Equinox chart and thrown into motion by the Libra Cardinal T-squares.
Today's article will cover rising signs around the globe, an overview of the Lunation, and the Sabian Symbols. Part 2 will cover the aspects, configurations and patterns, and which signs are most likely to be affected by where this falls in their charts.
A brief overview: the period ruled by this Full Moon will illuminate deeper elements of life, showing us how the subconscious or unconscious affects surface behavior. This is where we cultivate spiritual strength, or demonstrate our spiritual strength, in some social or emotional form. The focus of the light will reveal the “new quality of being” I just spoke of, and give many a revelation of a higher order of Love replacing old ways of understanding and expressing love.
This will help us stabilize the new form of “Buddha consciousness” brought down to our world last May 5-6 at the Wesak Festival. There are many articles in the archives about that important world event, so when you're done here please check them out. I explained what Global Wisdom Forms of Compassion was poured out at that time that began to be used by the World Teacher at the ChristFest Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on June 4, 2012.
This Full Moon is where the inward quest will express in a new way to live our lives, feeling fulfilled and enjoy the more natural pleasures of life. This especially will bring form to the truths and teachings we were all learning in our own ways in early July and late October 2011, and kicked into gear between late February and mid-May 2012. Eliminate old ideas and visions, and feel your way to the depths, since you can find strength and power by going there.
Ultimately this is a very stabilizing Full Moon (since it is in Taurus, after all!), and given the aspects in play, the next two weeks should be fulfilling in many ways, bringing us unique gifts and conditions for dealing with some tough stuff in the recent past. The next two weeks overall will be very productive, specializing, and for the most part enjoyable if we’ve taken care of business before now.
So eliminate what you must, get inspired through seeing the larger sweep of cycles in your life, and open to some form of social rebirth in action. Due to Mars and Saturn there will be some inner crises of decision about what to do and who to do it with, and Jupiter’s position guarantees the Grand Irrationality is a huge player these next two weeks.
Still, by November 13-14 when the coming Solar Eclipse at 22 Scorpio preempts the playing field, we’ll have had time to see deeper truths, better ways to live and love, and can eliminate vague notions, unclear ideals, forms of self-doubt, and any tendencies to allow ourselves to be taken for granted or dismissed as irrelevant. Just get clear about what roles you’re willing to play, as well as what you’re not willing to play, and keep it all very simple and straightforward.
The focus the next two weeks is on seeing the “whole process” of how things are created or built, and there are some highly specialized gifts and circumstances available for those who can “greet the sunrise” and put their best Self forward. And when in doubt, imitate, since the patterns available definitely have worth in the world.
Today’s article will cover rising signs around the world, an overview of the Lunation, and the Sabian Symbols. Part 2 will cover the aspects, configurations and patterns, and which signs are most likely to be affected by where this falls in their charts. This stabilizing and intensely magnetic Full Moon at 7 degrees of Scorpio and Taurus, helping us get clear about deeper factors in our lives and consciousness, expressed through forms showing us a new life order, occurs October 29 at 12:49 pm PDT, 3:49 pm EDT, and 7:49 pm Greenwich (UT).
Now on to the rising signs around the world. The Lunation finds 20 Capricorn rising in Santa Monica, 3 Capricorn in Vancouver, 15 Pisces in Montreal, and 12 Pisces in Washington DC, showing all of Capricorn and Aquarius through mid-Pisces as the rising signs across North America. We move east where we find 21 Aries rising in Rio, 18 Gemini in Lisbon, 8 Cancer in London, 20 Cancer in Berlin, 10 Leo in Moscow, 20 Cancer in Sofia, 20 Cancer in Cairo, and 23 Gemini in Johannesburg.
Moving into Asia and Oceana, we find the Ascendants to be 26 Leo in Abbottabad (30 Oct), 28 Leo in New Delhi, 23 Leo in Trivandrum, 30 Virgo in Hong Kong, 22 Libra in Tokyo, 3 Libra in Perth, 17 Scorpio in Melbourne, 21 Scorpio in Brisbane, 24 Sagittarius in Wellington , and 21 Sagittarius rising on Maui (Oct 29).
Because the New Moon preceding the Full Moon always represents the seed forms that are brought to surface at and after the Full Moon, please check out New Moon in Libra Pt 1 – What’s Happening in October-November 2012. There’s more at New Moon in Libra Pt.2 – Signs, Sabian Symbols, and What it All Means.
Those around the world who will definitely feel effects of this Full Moon are the places where it falls near the angles of the chart. Places on our list where the Lunation is near the angles and activating energies powerfully are (Sun/Moon): Santa Monica and Vancouver (MC/IC), Rio (Dsc/Asc), Moscow (IC/MC), and the line from Tokyo to Brisbane and Melbourne (Asc/Dsc).
Full Moons heighten feelings, due to the opposition of the Moon and the Sun. This particular Lunation makes only favorable aspects, showing it will be specializing, harmonizing, and productive of in depth stabilization, attracting some of the “unusual good luck” indicated in the Autumnal Equinox chart, released via the recent Sun in Libra Cardinal T-square chart.
The only aspects this Lunation makes is Moon biquintile Venus and trine Pluto with the Sun biquintile Jupiter and sextile Pluto. Biquintiles are specializing and interactive, and the opposition sextile trine configuration is dynamic, productive, stabilizing and sure to attract positive Cancerian experiences.
Those zones most affected by the Moon biquintile Venus are 1-3 Libra, 13-15 Sagittarius, 25-27 Aquarius, 7-9 Taurus, and 19-21 Cancer. Those zones most affected by the Sun biquintile Jupiter are 7-10 Scorpio, 19-22 Capricorn, 1-4 Aries, 13-16 Gemini, and 25-28 Leo. If you have a planet or point in any of these zones, expect highly specialized conditions, unique interactions, gifts from taking care of business previously, or something that MUST be dealt with now since it wasn’t dealt with then.
Venus rules the Moon and is in its home sign of Libra, making it very powerful. I’ll discuss the planetary aspects and dispositors of the Sun and Moon in part 2, which will explain the complex mix of specializing initiating, stabilizing, and distributive energies pervading this chart. In any case, this chart substantiates a whole new way that will lead us to feeling much deeper in our connection to each other and life itself.
This Full Moon can put us in touch with a deeper reality, or a “depth understanding” of what’s “beneath the surface of daily living.” This one brings the gifts and special conditions that naturally arise after certain realizations are complete. This will attract new material in our lives as a result of the void left during the last Full Moon period, which I partially described last month:
There is much in this chart that could be described through the lyrics of the Sagittarian bard, “Made the scene, Week to week, Day to day, Hour to hour, The gate is straight, Deep and wide, Break on through to the other side, Break on through to the other side ...”
We now enter a period of a new magnetism, a new Revelation, and a new set of life values and resources. All who are open to a greater Way, Truth, and Life/Light are finding “unusual good luck” through their ability to cooperate with the invisible world and the energy distributing forms found there. Just enjoy the experience of a deeper connection with a larger reality and larger love, and revise your ideas, visions, and interpretations accordingly.
Is the Sun Following the Moon, or the Moon Following the Sun?
This is the fifth Full Moon where the Sun falls in the subsequent sign to the Sun at the previous New Moon. This is the next step in a reversal of what we experienced between September 2010 and June 2011. We last had this sequence of Full Moon Suns in different signs than the previous New Moon from July 2009 through September 2010. Since then, we’ve had a sequence of the New Moon Sun being in the same sign as the next Full Moon Sun. As I've explained in previous Full Moon articles,
... the Full Moon being in a subsequent sign than the previous New Moon indicates that what is released as realizations in the Full Moon period actually "prepares the ground" for the coming New Moon seed. Strange reversal of function, since you would think the New Moon provides the seed for the next Full Moon. But this set of Lunations works the opposite way....Another way to look at this is the Sun sign of the Full Moon is the same as and precedes the Sun sign of the next New Moon, reversing the usual way Lunations work. So the fulfillment of the Full Moon sets up the next "seed" to be revealed at the next New Moon....
So we’re no longer in the previous “normal” New Moon-Full Moon cycle, where we experienced the illuminated form shown to us at the New Moon fulfilled by the light of the same sign at the subsequent Full Moon. The New Moons all fell in the first half of their signs and the Full Moons all fell in the last half of their signs through May 2012. Seeds shown in the first half, fulfillment in the second half makes some kind of sense.
The Sabian Symbols for the Full Moon
This Full Moon falls at 7 Taurus-Scorpio. It is said that the first third (decan) of any sign deals with the actional, physical, material levels of life, and being the first decan of those signs, invokes a sub-influence of those signs, Taurus and Scorpio.
Since the Moon always focuses the light of the Sun in specific forms, the degree symbols for both are important. The Sun degree is the illumination or enlightenment of the Lunation, whereas the Moon shows us the potential forms that enlightenment will take.
The Solar degree symbol for the 7th degree of Scorpio is “Deep sea divers.” Rudhyar says this is a degree of “purposeful, daring plunge into life-mysteries,” and “fulfillment of individual selfhood through study of unconscious energies.”
In the Mandala he goes on to say this is a degree of "the will to explore the hidden depths of all experiences and to search for primordial causes.” He states this degree refers to depth-psychology and exploring the collective (or individual) “Unconscious and its contents,” and symbolizes a “depth plumbing adventure.”
So it’s an internal adventure of discovery of that which is submerged within the ego and personality. He continues that this is “a quest for understanding,” requires spiritual strength, and “challenges powers hidden in the depth of the unconscious.” Here “the inward quest opposes the outward search for the great social symbol, gold. It should lead to a depth realization of the very roots of consciousness.”
So the illumination available via this Full Moon is through the Light of exploring the depths of the unconscious or subconscious, whether individual, collective, or both. Here we cultivate spiritual strength in an inner quest, and find the inner counter point to our external explorations. He says this degree falls in the Span of Retention, Act of Group-Integration, and Scene of Communion on the Emotional-Cultural level.
This implies there will be a lot of intensity and desire for connectedness during the next 2 weeks. Pay attention to what’s going on behind the façade, see what needs eliminating and/or regenerating to make things more fluid, and know when to back off.
This symbol implies there will be benefits from studying the world of the subconscious and unconscious mind. Go deep, practice good “breathing skills,” and explore the deeper meaning behind experiences and interactions. Whether you’re going inward or outward, find the depth understanding needed to fulfill the purpose of the search.
Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, says this is a degree of “the absolute integrity of (our) nature at root,” indicated by our “insatiable determination to plumb all experience to the depths and to uncover the illimitable reaches of potentiality” in our world of relationships. He says this is “a challenge to self-refinement” through subjecting our skills to tests and opportunity so we can perfect them.
He states that “self-fulfillment is through an ever-increasing interest in day-by-day problems.” He offers the keyword INVOLVEMENT, and states that when operating positively, the degree is “a persistent penetration to the very vital core of human motive and make-up.”
The Lunar degree symbol for the 7th degree of Taurus is “A woman of Samaria.” Rudhyar says this is a degree of “the gaining of perspective by a return to ancient sources of being,” and an “introspective approach to collective unconscious.”
In the Astrological Mandala, he goes on to say that this degree is about “the meeting of the traditional past and of the creative spirit pointing to the future.” He relates it to the story of the woman who met Christ at an ancestral well, and received a revelation from Him telling her in no uncertain terms that He was/is the World Teacher.
Here’s one translation:
Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”11 “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12 Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?”
13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
(At this point I probably need to point out that the Gospel of John came much later than the other synoptic Gospels, and was written in Greek, unlike the other three Gospels which were written in Aramaic. It is generally considered among scholars that this Book was less literal than the others, and focused more on describing the God-nature of St. Issa the man. It is more highly symbolized than the others, and contains passages that are not in the others. It’s really more about proclaiming the Deity in St. Issa the Nazar rather than telling his life story as the others relate the narrative.)
Anyway, back to the symbol for the Moon. To sum up what Rudhyar offers us in the Mandala, this symbol is about the inability of those attached to any old life order to recognize when a new era is upon them. Those who are attached to seeing the past perpetuated are not open to the signs and signals of a greater life based in a greater Love.
He states “The highest meets the lowest when this lowest is free from traditional bonds and open to love. The creative future descends first to that which has become chaos. An old order is never open to a new Revelation until it has accepted disorder in the name of that Power which subsumes all forms of order, i.e. Love.”
He goes on to say this is a “meeting which introduces into the collective situation a totally new factor which transcends it. A new quality of being is revealed which renders the old patterns obsolete.” He says this degree falls in the Span of Realization, Act of Differentiation, and Scene of Substantiation on the Emotional-Cultural level.
Dr. Jones says this is a degree of “the unimpeachable divinity which characterizes (human) nature at root,” symbolized by our instinct for higher things as we move through the depths of each experience and “welcome life almost indiscriminately into the uttermost inner reaches of (our) being.” Here is “an indomitability of striving for real and gratifying self-fulfillments.”
He offers us the keyword AWAKENING. He states that when operating in a positive manner, this degree “is absolute and wholly impersonal self-giving in the hope of an honest self-realization.”
From these symbols it seems we can see the light of going deeper into what’s below surface living and self-expression will lead us to a depth realization, and this can be expressed through our openness to a new revelation of a greater Love and a new era to come. Here we see the light of a more focused magnetism prodding us toward a more enjoyable life, a greater comfort of knowing how past, present, and future are a continuum, and a clarity around what limits we can easily accept so that we can enjoy playing a role we were born to play.
There are many important depth understandings promised by this Full Moon, as well as new ways of joining with others in cooperative building work. Mercury heralds reunions with others who share our “civilizing fire,” though discrimination regarding knowing what’s core and what’s peripheral will be needed, as well as openness to new ways of perceiving and interpreting new discoveries.
Mercury squaring Neptune and exactly separating square to TransPluto, also known as Percephone or Parvati, will release powerful Fiery openings forcing these new discoveries, attitudes, and understanding of what’s below the surface of “the waters of daily life,” as indicated by both the Mutable T-square and the Solar degree.” This will show most dramatically in the house where we have 1 Gemini.
So the vast redemptive field of “Divine Mother Energy,” and the “Mother Force” will show through practical adjustments and a sense of service related to these discoveries of Unconscious or Subconscious energies, and the information Mercury will release through the T-square with Neptune in Pisces opposed TransPluto. Pay attention, because this shows us vaster things to come. Just get and stay clear about the phases and stages you’re seeing.
A brief note on the larger Era. We approach the end of the TransPluto (Percephone/Parvati) in Leo era that we’ve known since September 20, 1935. Since October, 2011, we’ve been a transition period where this planet will dance at the last degree of Leo and first degree of Virgo through July 5, 2014. After then we enter the TransPluto in Virgo era that will last through July, 2107, when it leaves Virgo for good and re-enters Libra for the last time, also after a few years of dancing on the cusp of Virgo and Libra.
Mercury is in a waxing square to this outermost invisible Transpersonal Redemptive God-force in the chart. Once we get clear about the place our discoveries fit into the larger redemptive picture, and see where it’s been and why these discoveries are coming forth now, we should be able to get some fairly clear feelings and ideas from Divine Mother.
These will relate to the work that needs to be done at this “dawning of a new day.” Find a new sense of service or “divine discrimination” that shows what’s important and why, as well as what’s no longer important.
In Part 2 we'll cover the aspects, configurations, and which degree spans will be impacted by this Full Moon in Scorpio-Taurus. See you soon!

This full moon conjuncts my natal ceres and after all the divine mother energy i have had activating my chart for a while now, this conjunction building at full moon which always affects this cancerian sun strongly, i am actually feeling the richness building within me, for honouring my true role as a mother, even though outside of me many others only see our poverty and homelessness this past year because of what others judged as being naive or weak, I feel honoured and that i have provided myself as well as my young adult children, strong, deep and good foundations to build a new life now. I have a feeling that will soon be obviously seen to many of those others very soon. I am happy.

Thany you for this article...it validates what I have been feeling, and helps me to trust the voice within more!
The Full Moon opposes my Neptune, 7 Scorp....and I have been deeply feeling/investigating those that take me for granted, or treat me as irrelavent.
The Eclipse 13 Nov, falls ontop of my Sun....last night I had a dream...It was a snow covered scene, and I was on a road...that was a dead end...and I was looking at a sign that said "End".
"You must let go of one thing, to attain another".

@ Wild Horse Running, mine neptune is at 8 scrop so just a degree off, I hope you dont mind me saying, as understanding dreams is something that comes natural because of that placement, which symbolism of understanding is something you obviously naturally embrace too, that the indications are yes indeed that is not the way, the emotions are frozen in that direction, best go with where your passions are warm and flowing. Namaste

There is no better boat than a horoscope to help a man cross over the sea of life. Nice Blog.
