by Robert Wilkinson
This Full Moon at 7 Scorpio-Taurus opens two weeks of stable focus, deep insights, “cutting to the chase,” and being very clear and straightforward in taking responsibility in some way. This is not really a “feel good” type of chart, but it will clarify a lot and overall result in an extraordinarily productive time and some unique gifts within a larger stabilizing atmosphere.
As most of you already know, forming aspects show things to come, while separating aspects show things already in the past. This Full Moon has ton of harmonious and specializing aspects, with relatively few hard ones, though those are very strong. And the Grand Irrationality is in full play, with Jupiter biseptile Neptune and triseptile Pluto!
As noted yesterday, the chart shows Moon making only a biquintile to Venus and trine to Pluto, with the Sun making a biquintile to Jupiter and a sextile to Pluto. I explained the hot zones created by the biquintiles, which will lead to unique or specialized interactions and conditions. Please reread part one to know more.
The opposition-sextile-trine configuration created by Moon, Sun, and Pluto will help us all experience life more deeply, and open very favorable attractive energies at 7-8 Cancer, bringing forth forms of the “unusual good luck” promised by the Autumnal Equinox chart and last stimulated by the Sun in Libra Cardinal T-square also mentioned yesterday. We can favorably continue to cooperate with our invisible helpers to further that “good luck” during the next two weeks, and reach out to a “higher order of life” by imitating the behaviors of that higher order.
Those who are willing to grow will find themselves focused and accelerated in their experience of the growth pattern. However, as I noted earlier, this quickening will be accompanied by a need to take responsibility for something. It’s about cooperative building, or perhaps the needs to finish cleaning out, purifying, letting go, creating space, or furthering some “distributive Fire” that has already inspired you to a new line of growth that is freeing, opening, or seems like some sort of adventure.
It’s important to note that Full Moons heighten feelings, due to the opposition of the Moon and the Sun. This particular Lunation has other oppositions that heighten the sense of polarization, but also make for great revelations. Beside the Lunation the other forming opposition is Venus opposed Uranus, helping us awaken to greater freedom in our social life and relationships. That opposition requires that we get focused and definite so we can handle situations, not jump to conclusions, and be alert to rapidly changing developments and figuring out ways to direct them to best advantage.
Separating aspects show things already past. This chart has a separating Moon opposed Saturn and Mars opposed Jupiter. Hard lessons and decisions in the recent past, along with things being exaggerated or wildly expanding in some way, have led us to lessons involving a combination of not going where we don’t need to go, or “getting real” in some way, seeing what needs nurture or deflating, and finding a new view of how to communicate or interpret some situation or condition.
As noted, there are a bunch of very harmonious and productive aspects happening that will help us get things done! Mercury is sextile Venus, semisextile Saturn, square Neptune and decile Pluto, and Venus is quintile Mars and tredecile Jupiter, turning the opposition into some very unique and serendipitous events, ideas, and meetings. Those with planets in very early Aries and Libra and mid-Gemini and mid-Sagittarius are most affected. Expect some very special things to come down!!
Continuing with Venus aspects, Venus is semisextile Saturn, opposition Uranus, and square Pluto. This is the final T-square from Libra for the year, and should bring us the value or resource connected to events from middle and late September. So the Sun, Moon, and Pluto configuration brings great good in early Cancer, while this T-square releases a lot of energy into the same span plus a few degrees before. Cancer shows us what’s building and releasing. That would imply it’s a time to learn and practice emotional fluidity.
Finishing the forming aspect list, we find Mars semisquare Saturn, tredecile Uranus, and quintile Neptune. As already noted, Jupiter is biseptile Neptune and triseptile Pluto, and Saturn is sextile Pluto. So besides Pluto cutting the Moon opposition Sun into something productive and stabilizing released by the Cardinal T-square, we also see the Venus opposition Uranus in that T cut by Mars into a quintile and tredecile.
So both oppositions have planets that turn the polarization into favorable movement, individually and interactively. This is an extraordinary set of circumstances, and should show as some very powerful movement in our lives that is specialized but stable, productive of our ability to cultivate or demonstrate our gifts and unique talents.
The Grand Irrationality is in full action over the next two weeks via the Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto aspects. As most of you already know, this is a long wave irrational atmospheric field generated at this time in history. It began in the mid-90 and will last a few more years.
It’s why there’s such a hard edge to things, and a lot of obsessive-compulsive behavior dominates in society. Certainly there’s much that makes absolutely no sense right now. I have numerous articles in the archives exploring and explaining this long wave phenomenon, so use the site google box to check them out if you want to know more. And I’ll post more in the near future.
At this time, the seven hot zones most impacted by the Grand Irrationality right now are 7-11 Capricorn, 29 Aquarius-3 Pisces, 21-25 Aries, 13-17 Gemini, 4-8 Leo, 25-29 Virgo, and 16-20 Scorpio. During the next two weeks, these will be triggered by the Moon on Nov 1-2, Nov 5-6, Nov 9-10, and by the coming Solar Eclipse in Scorpio, the Moon will already be out of range. Those with planets or points in these zones can expect important developments, choices, and changes. Your destiny beckons!!
Mars and Pluto rule the Sun, while Venus and TransPluto rule Moon. That makes these planets especially important in this Lunation. The Sun in Scorpio will have a definitely Sagittarian shading, with Capricorn as the Spiritual influence behind the Illumination. The Moon in Taurus will definitely have a Libra shading, with Virgo as the Spiritual influence behind the form.
As Venus is in Libra, the sign it rules, it is particularly important in this chart. Neptune is the only other planet in its own sign. The rest of the planets have as their final dispositors Mercury in Sagittarius in mutual reception to Jupiter in Gemini. You can find out more about this phenomenon that strengthens each of the two planets by going to the article Astrology Class – What Is A Dispositor and What Is Mutual Reception Between Two Planets?
So Just What Was the New Moon Theme for this Period?
Remember that the qualities of the Full Moon express whatever new directions we were shown at the previous New Moon. You will recall its theme was seeing the new day dawning, and surrendering to a new way of life. We have been reconstructing something in some emotional-social way, or seeing the Light and Life of the major shifts we embraced beginning in June 2012.
From the article:
This New Moon in Libra is ideal and initiating, and continues the on-going influence of the Grand Irrationality from the last New Moon through Mercury in Scorpio septile Pluto. That continues to keep destiny in motion for all of us through the signs and signals Mercury brings to the dance. This time will help us see the “world of the 5 senses and the mind as the playground of God and Soul.”Expect to find critical decisions and insights into the life affairs associated with houses ruled by Mercury and occupied by Mercury and Pluto. These will precipitate decisions at forks in the road, and though things seem hard-edged and weird, take time to see recurring patterns that may not make sense when taken alone, but show larger forces at work when seen in relationship with other recurring patterns….
The next four weeks will throw everyone into a) a new focus, b) elimination of old perceptions, interpretations, and ways of getting suckered or distracted by things that are really none of our business, c) taking a new look at “the rules of the game,” or d) a combination of the two. There will be a hard edge to Mercurial insights and signals related to the roles we’re supposed to be playing and enjoying.
Be open to renewing your ideals, your view of things, and receiving new ideas and views that can help open new vistas of development. Remember that with Saturn now in Scorpio, it’s going to set up situations where we’ll all be introduced into more complex, intense, and/or deep relationships. The next 4 weeks will help us become the “standards of culture” that we believe in, through our sticktoitiveness, persistence, keeping our eyes on the prize and not settling for lesser things when greater ones are at stake, and learning how to keep a lot in motion without getting distracted.
This time gives us a chance to play with renewing some ideas and perspectives, refining the creative energies that have pervaded the past 4 weeks. Many will have to surrender to new ways of life, new ways of relating, new roles to play, and reorganize to make everything work more efficiently. In some respects, just consider this one more “live rehearsal” in a long wave renewal, where we need a sense of humor and adventure as we work productively with the details of what our magnetism is and is not bringing us.
Here’s more:
A New Moon sets the seed forms for what the following 4 weeks will demonstrate. This Lunation falls at 23 Libra. While I've given you a sense of this degree up to now, this is where we go into depth.
The symbol is “Chanticleer.” According to Rudhyar, this degree is one of “Capacity for self-refreshment as the inner sources of ever-reviewed life,” “Anticipation of opportunity,” and “Security in Self.”
In the Astrological Mandala, he says this degree involves “A creative and joyous response to life processes,” where we see how to “give voice to what is as yet unmanifested, but is on the way to manifestation.” Here we can find a “vivid recognition of the as-yet-unknown in the known,” where we “herald the coming of a new day.”
He says that what is at stake in this degree is our individual ability of responding to life’s renewals, “renewals which are cyclic, predictable, yet always new, always creative.” He says it falls in the span of "Revelation,” and it’s the third, or synthesizing degree of the emotional-cultural level of the scene of Reconstruction in the Act of Group Integration.
According to Dr. Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, the degree is one of “the soul’s ultimate self-realization through a basic integrity of its own insights or judgments,” where we can be accepted for playing the role we’re supposed to. He offers that practical rewards come from effectively dramatizing our distinctions, as well as through “the enduring significance which the self achieves… through the place in life it succeeds in making its own.”
He offers us the keyword of FERVOR. He states that when operating in a positive manner, this degree is "a fearless self-affirmation which gains a sympathetic attention and wins immediate allegiance form the hearts and minds of everybody.”
So we enter a time of seeing the dawning of a new day through the “basic integrity of our insights and judgments,” where we can get revelations, rewards, “self-refreshment,” anticipate opportunities, and find security in being our Higher Self. Playing the role we’re born to play, enjoying our natural limits, brings gifts and specialized talents and insights. Find your significance in the scheme of things, and kick back and play your part!
The planets in this chart are again in a Locomotive Jones pattern with elements of the See Saw. This "Locomotive" Jones Patterns indicates an imbalance that leads to power if we can find the compensatory “weight” to make things move forward smoothly rather than rock side to side creating friction. Target what is needed, and provide compensatory energies accordingly.
The oppositions defining the See Saw influence show polarization and awareness, with occasional head-butting that can be resolved through positive Venus in Libra and Pluto in Capricorn actions. Just stay centered amidst the opposing trends, and see the bigger picture while not getting distracted by peripherals.
With 2 planets in Air, 3 in Fire, 3 in Water, and 2 in Earth, we have a great balance between inspiration, association, feeling, and practicality. Since Air and Earth are “cool” elements and Fire and Water are “hot” elements, things may be a bit more volatile over the next two weeks, but Moon in Taurus should provide some enjoyable stability for those who can tune into its energy.
Saturn leads the Sun in this Lunation. That makes the area in our charts where we have early Scorpio of extra importance, since it promises a maturing focus on responsible building while going deeper into our direct experience of life.
Structure the voids you’re creating, and be patient as you see what is attracted to fill that void over the next two weeks. Again, be very clear about what responsibilities are yours, and which ones are not while eliminating fear by relying on your experience and understanding.
More on how Uranus Square Pluto Is Ramping Up Radical Energies!
As I’ve told you, we’re all learning to manage the “out of control” energies of Uranus square Pluto. Even though it’s separating at present, it’s still being triggered by Venus, so it’s a major influence over the next two weeks!
I’ve discussed this aspect at length over quite a few articles in the archives. Use the site google box to find out more about this years’ long disruptive revolutionary influence. Welcome to the 21st century of upheaval, transformation, and titanic collisions between a new world being born and an old age that’s digging in even as it’s dying.
That square represents the ongoing revolution of our times, with innovations and pioneering energies in conflict with restrictive and controlling power structures. We’ll be dealing with this for a few years, and it promises to make this year and next very “electric and eclectic,” moving the world through a revolution unlike any seen since the 1960s!!
Uranus is on a degree of learning about who we are by getting clear about some element of our personality or Being that is being “brightly illuminated” at the expense of other facets of our life and being. We are in the next phase of learning how to concentrate to see the whole picture, showing us how to externalize our higher Self in new individual ways. It’s going to be the major theme for 2013, and given the aspects in play in this chart, there will be some adjustments to, and furthering of, recent productive understandings resulting from previous aspects in the New Moon chart governing this period.
Like previous Lunations, this one will continue to free us from old perspectives and views so we can see our part to play using more cosmic or universal truths and values. Here we settle into certain natural limitations so we can play the roles we’re born to play, and find happiness in refining our self-expression that furthers our knowing of how to express our individuality in new ways.
Venus triggering this Uranus square Pluto will show us a vaster perspective of how processes fulfill themselves and open us to a broader view if we just stop looking where we’ve already looked and get an elevated view of the whole of things. This will release elements of the old life so they can feed the new one, and again, cooperating with our invisible helpers while imitating a future pattern of growth will solve any conflict we may have.
It’s definitely a time to leave old relationships behind that no longer symbolize our values or what we find pleasing in our evolved lives. Also those relationships that leave us unfulfilled, or at loose ends, or somehow are preventing us getting clear results in what we want in life. This is an aspect that helps us clear out bizarre, edgy, extreme, coercive, high strung, or erratic people from our lives, whether we see them as that or not.
As with last month, this feeds the foundations of a life already set into motion last Summer. We continue to be shown patterns to imitate, so that we can begin to participate in a greater or higher order of life. Be willing to grow, and if necessary, use one part of your life and experience to help you grow even further. Every sincere effort will be rewarded by Providence, and things will arise you could not have dreamed of before you made that effort.
In the recent past, we’ve all been challenged to learn to concentrate to align with a deeper and higher power, and now we can enjoy playing a new role and living in new ways. We are still being challenged to get beyond fear, see things from the past differently, and find relief through expressing the Higher Self that’s been “cut and polished” in past months. We can grow into a larger role when we’re confronted by old Pluto roles, coercions, and heavy-handed corrosive behavior. We can use this square in two big ways, both now and into the future.
We can exercise good Pluto function to put the brakes on negative Uranian manifestations, and good Uranus function to put the brakes on negative Pluto manifestations. Look to the harmonizing aspects to each to show which is building and which one is the release point for those energies. Given the Mars sextile Pluto, we can certainly “cut to the chase” and efficiency is up.
Separating aspects, showing things just past, are too numerous to list this month. Among the most important are Moon triseptile Mercury, opposition Saturn, and sextile Neptune, Mercury square Neptune, Venus quincunx Neptune, Sun conjunct Saturn, quincunx Uranus and trine Neptune, Mars opposed Jupiter, Jupiter quintile Uranus, Saturn triseptile Uranus and trine Neptune, and Uranus square Pluto. As noted, some of these are in play due to configurations releasing some of the best of what is just past.
I can’t possibly explore the meanings of these, since there are too many possible ways these can play out in an individual life. That said, we’ve recently come to radical new points of view, and made important decisions based in our intuition of what plan needs to be implemented and how to arrange the details. We’ve had to get clear about the various stages of how things can develop our of chaos into order, and get disciplined and focused. While there have been sacrifices, to some extent they were necessary as temporary shifts in ideals and how to keep things moving forward despite disruptions.
Among the most important of those aspects just past is Saturn triseptile Uranus, indicating a critical turning point in a larger destiny wherever these occupy our charts. One represents the ongoing revolution of our times, the other represents the ability to structure these revolutionary or individualizing elements into coherent form.
Just separating, this aspect is the last in the sequence that began in November-December 2011 (Saturn 24-27 Libra to Uranus at 1 Aries) and then gave us a second look at this cooperative, non-rational, “fork in the road” influence in February-March 2012 (Saturn at 30 Libra to Uranus at 3-5 Aries).
The recent third pass was special in that it was wide and forming (from 30 Libra to 7 Aries), and has been a heavy influence all October as Saturn moved into Scorpio and made the exact triseptile in mid-October. Degree spans most impacted involve 30 Libra-4 Scorpio, 22-26 Sagittarius, 13-15 Aquarius, 5-9 Aries, 26-30 Taurus, 18-22 Cancer, and 9-13 Virgo. If you have a planet or sensitive point in any of these spans, you have confronted decisive moments and important decisions in recent weeks.
In some ways these are natural developments from events and decisions that originated between late 2004 and late 2006. These expanded into opportunities, openings, or truths in early 2009, early 2011, and Spring 2012. We have now completed a sequence of choices, and have moved forward into appropriate structures for our emergent individuality.
Please examine recent forks in the road of your life relative to that configuration, since we will be dealing with a similar period in May-June 2013 when Saturn in early Scorpio triseptiles Uranus in mid-Aries. We will finish this long term recurring triseptile in August-September 2013 when the final one is made. Because 5-9 Scorpio seems to be the general area where these will occur move all the zones listed above forward about 5 degrees to see if you will be impacted next Spring and Summer.
The Cusp of Where The Age of Pisces Gives Way to the Age of Aquarius
As I've mentioned in other Lunation articles, a major factor in this season is that Neptune now stands VERY close to "the cusp of the Age." It’s now moved forward from its stationary direct transformational degree of 29 Aquarius last November where we began to finish being collectively transfigured, and is now at 1 Pisces, the cusp of where the Age of Pisces gives way to the Age of Aquarius. We’re collectively there as a human race, and Neptune is showing us glimpses into the greater Way, Truth, and Life that we share together, expressed through the sign of compassion, forgiveness, and unity of feeling-awareness in the great “Ocean of Life.”
Neptune in very early Pisces has major implications for humanity as a whole. I’ve discussed this phenomenon of Neptune dancing back and forth between early Pisces and late Aquarius in previous articles, opening the collective consciousness to the energies of this transitional period, this “time cusp” between the Age of Pisces and the Age of Aquarius. This happened throughout 2011 into early 2012.
In the larger precessional Age, our world is at 1 Pisces right now. Thanks to prior transits of both Neptune and Chiron to this degree, many of us have collectively awakened to a vast connectedness with all Life and all Time. This degree is one of joyously rallying as we begin the closing of a long cycle. Fairness is paramount in all dealings, and with Saturn in Libra, the scales are weighing many things right now.
Dr. Marc Edmund Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, points out that the first degree of Pisces, "the cusp of the Age," is "a symbol of full maturity in (humanity's) social estate, with an emphasis on the group integrity" facilitating each to develop their special patterns. This degree is about a willingness for each of us to do our part in the larger "common ideals of a community life."
Here we refine our ambition through "a consistent generosity toward the aims of others with a real intensity of effort directed toward its own ends." The keyword is COMMERCE, and when positive, this degree "is an exceptional capacity for organizing the converging and conflicting interests of many people in practical arrangements of mutual benefit."
So this is where humanity as a whole is at right now. I believe we will finally enter the Age of Aquarius sometime between 2045-2070, when we all will see the concrete manifestations of Aquarian patterns that were awakened by Uranus and have been dreamed into collective consciousness by Neptune during these planets' movement through late Aquarius. (Please also check out part one of that series since it elaborates on the transition between the Age of Pisces and the Age of Aquarius.)
Be creative in sharing what needs to be shared, grow into a deeper sense of the ONE that holds all things within It’s magnetic field, turn from the outer to the inner, and “pay allegiance” to the core principles that hold your life on tracks even as you commune with others who share your various Ray and sub-Ray frequencies. This is a great time to get focused, eliminating all that is irrelevant to your long term growth patterns. Or perhaps you can use the energy to regenerate in some way so that you “take command of the Great Work” and perfect your various physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual “vehicles” to express exactly what you’re here to do.
What's the proper sequence at present of deciding, feeling, and thinking, and an Overview of the Lunation
As a process of moving through events, first get clear about what you’re feeling and/or experiencing, and make decisions and act accordingly. Then get new information or understanding so you can update your perceptual files. Pay attention to attachment to old interpretations, perception, and views, and get a new understanding or view of things.
Then name what you’re experiencing or feeling, and allow those impressions to lead you to decisions and actions based in those feeling experiences. Once you’ve decided and/or acted on those feelings, then allow new ideas, understanding, and vision of the whole of things to arise that will in time lead to the next set of feelings and experiences.
To sum up, this Lunation will help us see and experience life on deeper levels so that we can find a new spiritual strength and embrace a new quality of life based in a higher Love now that our old life order is no more. This one is productive, stabilizing on the deepest level of our existence, allowing us to see what’s below the surface of daily life. Here our willingness to work with our invisible helpers in the months before now will result in some very solid things being attracted that help everything feel as it should.
Cultivate social intuition and social cooperation, shed extreme values and people that are pulling you sideways or backwards, and nurture what needs to be cared for. Stay open to prior realizations bringing you gifts or special conditions and unique relationships, and show up for your “life renewal.” You’ll find others are there at the metaphoric sunrise who are your Spiritual Brothers and Sisters.
Relax into playing whatever roles seem natural on the basis of previous purifications and transformations. Be receptive to illuminations showing you who you are and who you’re not. Imitate a better way when appropriate. See this as a time when you are free to enjoy going deeper into the new life that you’re already living. Power plus enjoyment equals a time of clearly maturing responsibilities.
This continues a new freedom and adventure that will fill the void created by the Eclipses of 2011. This solidifies a life renewal, a greater hope, a deeper wisdom, and a total authenticity. This Lunation promises newer, deeper life revelations that show a greater way to live and love, so embrace a new adaptability and efficiency, and new opportunities of fulfilling the new law of your life you’ve been sensing since early 2011.
We’ve all gotten clear in the past 15 weeks (and months!) about what forks in the road of destiny we need to take, and are now challenged to eliminate all that is obstructing our ability to achieve the results we want from life. Just take the long view of the various stages and phases such a thing requires, and keep it simple and straightforward.
Though some things will seem out of balance, or even oppositional to some extent, do not equivocate or lose your balance as you embrace natural limitations allowing you to play a new role with ease. Since the process of self-transcendence continues to be front and center, embrace it with focused clarity, and willingness to go beyond the superficial.
Release old views and interpretations and go deeper. Embrace the spirit of exploration that allows you to see the adventure of discovery as leading you to depth understanding about the relationship of the material to the Spiritual, the form to the energy behind and within all forms.
As with previous months, I’ll remind you not to take the larger tensions, pressures, and friction personally. Though the larger atmosphere is tense and conflicted, it’s really only the play of invisible forces leading us all to new forms of individualization that will block old shadows of control mechanisms that are useless anyway.
As I’ve noted in previous Full Moon articles, since all shadows result from light hitting a dense object, it’s better to become as translucid as possible to dispel lurking shadows. And if you must look at the shadows, then refocus on the object being illuminated, since that’s the source of the shadow.
Find the correct 4 angles of illuminating whatever you want to focus on, and all shadows will be dispelled. Then you’re seeing things with an illuminated mind, and can act accordingly.

Robert, would the venus uranus opposition also be awakening the deeper values also? My sensitivity was like someone had turned the sound up fully at the full moon, soo over the top and all that came to mind yesterday with the tears that kept flowing was how much sorrow that each life is not valued for the gift it is and kept seeing it everywhere. Spent much of the evening sending healing and love everywhere needed. Does this make sense?

the full moon brings into view the order of priorities, something old must first go down so the new can begin. Mother Nature can certainly throw a curve ball when she wants to do so. Willing to grow and take on responsibility...bring it on! Deep Sea Divers, right on my mars.

This Taurus full moon was on my natal Saturn (Taurus 7 degrees) which also squares my ntal Leo moon. Soon Saturn in Scorpio will also be at 7 degrees opposing my natal Saturn. Life feels uncomfortable at the moment. Nothing specific, just the calm before the storm anxiety.
As a late degree Cancer, I've been rolling in the deep and on the shore for the past 4-5 years. Will I make it, Robert?
