Today we celebrate the work of the Civil and Human Rights Pioneer. It also happens to be the public inauguration day of President Obama's second term.
In that spirit, please take some time to view at least one of these amazing speeches today. A 2013 Martin Luther King Birthday Celebration. Some of what he said was jaw dropping, and perhaps more relevant today than then, given how far short of the dream America has fallen these past 50 years.
As an aside, this is the second time Obama has taken the oath of office for this inauguration. That's because the Constitution specifies that the official time when the President is sworn in must be before noon Jan 20, which on a Sunday requires a "private ceremony." This last happened during Ronald Reagan's second inauguration in 1985, exactly 28 years before this one.
So in an interesting twist of fate, Barack Obama has now taken the oath of office 4 times, only equaled by FDR who was elected 4 times. Obama took it twice in 2009 (Roberts bungled the oath the first time), and now twice, once yesterday and once today.

What do you make of the Mercury sextile Uranus trine Jupiter? I just pray that President Obama meant what he said and will act on it. The first big test will be the XL Pipeline/Tar Sands issue. If he means what he said about climate change he will not approve it.
