In the past week, Venus, then the Sun, and now Mars all left Aries and entered Taurus. That accompanies a huge phase shift in the “local field” energies.
This phase shift is very important in two ways. One is that the rulers of the houses containing Aries, Taurus, Cancer, Leo, Libra, and Scorpio in our charts have now moved from an Aries emphasis and form of expression to a Taurus form of expression. This should slow down and steady our approach to these life areas, making things more solid and enjoyable.
Since the planets that rule these areas are going to be opposed to Saturn in Scorpio through the end of the month, it will also put these areas of our lives in opposition to the ruler of the Capricorn and Aquarius parts of our lives. Oppositions can bring polarization, awareness, oppositions, and new ways of expressing those principles. In this case the “local field” planets of Sun, Venus, and Mars can bring a new Saturn function to the surface, or repotentialization of the Saturn functions we’re already expressing.
The second important shift is that now, instead of Mars being the final dispositor to the planets in Aries and Scorpio, since Venus left Aries and entered its home sign of Taurus, it became the final dispositor of Saturn and Uranus. Also Mercury since it left Pisces and entered Aries.
(I’ve written about the concept of final dispositors and mutual reception in previous articles, and will update the primary article explaining these phenomena soon. And since so many variations have happened in the past 12 weeks, I’ll probably build on what I’m offering here.)
From early February through now, Mercury in Pisces has been in mutual reception with Jupiter in Gemini, since they’re each in signs the other rules. That made them a powerful team of final dispositors for all the other planetary energies, since all the other planets were in a sign that was ruled by one of these planets. These two were the major dispositors up to mid-March, when Mars entered its home sign of Aries and became a final dispositor for Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto, as well as the Sun after the Vernal Equinox.
Venus entered Taurus on April 15, which made it stronger since it’s at home in Taurus. Now that the Sun and Mars have left Aries over the past 48 hours, Venus is the final dispositor of both of those planets, as well as Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto. And with Mercury entering Aries, it also has Venus as its final dispositor. So as of now, all the backdrop energies are concentrated in Venus, with the constant “outlier” of Neptune in its home sign of Pisces.
Venus will be the main dispositor until it enters Gemini about 9 hours before the Solar Eclipse on May 9 at 20 Taurus. At that point Mercury and Venus will be in mutual reception until Mercury enters its home sign of Gemini on May 15-16, when it will become the final dispositor for all the other planets through the end of May.
Given the Venusian aspects in play right now, we should be able to “cut to the chase” very quickly, where simply “getting it in gear” in straightforward, practical, grounded ways will be productive and at times magical. The Taurus oppositions to Saturn also make trines to Pluto and quintiles to Neptune, showing tremendous stabilizing energies that can cut through delays and obstacles.
The next week will prove very productive of awareness, polarization or repolarization in some important life areas, as well as throwing off chains in a more determined self-mobilization. Search for simple, basic understanding when confronting a “life mystery,” since this can be a time of practical, grounded illumination and action.
Use your imagination, take care of details, follow through on plans, and be quick in weaving the fabric of a new stability. Over the past week we’ve been offered the chance to see the truth, speak the truth, and keep our conception of what’s possible despite the limiting conditions or pessimistic people.
We are now anchoring and grounding a new way of life after the major shifts during the Grand Irrationality in full swing April 8-15. By April 26-29 we will be in the final stage of this period of the Grand Irrationality, and should be able to understand some things we didn’t before now, or weave some elements of what was with what is to help us finish the internal and external shifts and “manifestations of destiny.” We will also have opportunities to make mid-course adjustments and/or go full speed ahead, knowing the core of how to accomplish something simply and easily.
So if you feel that things are beginning to become more steady, more solid, more “on track,” more grounded, or in a groove, then you’re feeling the shift from Aries to Taurus. Throw off any chains keeping you in forms of mental slavery, let go of pessimism, heaviness, fear, and frustration at the recent or current pace of things, and experience the simplicity of moving into a newer, steadier pace.
