Astrology in 2013, 2014, and 2015 - Uranus Square Pluto Applications and Antidotes

About two weeks ago I posted an extremely important article on the very powerful Uranus square Pluto that is happening as you read this. I promised to elaborate on some ways to deal with this global life-altering event that has everything and everyone on a hard edge of revolution and purification.

A reader asked me to offer some guidance for those who have personal planets squeezed (or hammered!) by the square. She offered that to her it indicated “an intersection between the collective and the personal” as it exactly configured with her Sun at 12 Libra and she felt “an incredibly oppressive psychological pressure” and “surely it will form a diamond!”

I responded that this square is a radical transpersonal restructuring by generalized "forces beyond our control" affecting various parts of our lives and the lives of our families and friends, as well as our groups, such as this community.

I first responded to what this would require if it was directly affecting one’s Sun. I have first-hand knowledge of this, since I have a Sun at 12 Aries!! Some of what I offer here can be extrapolated to cover what I might say to one with Sun, Moon, or Asc in Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn.

In the example, I noted first that Pluto is waxing (lower) square those with Sun near 12 Libra. This is a huge reality check in the Light/Life of any Sun sign affected by Uranus square Pluto. In the case of Sun in Libra, emergent forces beyond your control force you to be aware of foundational breakdown and rebuilding from personal authorship resulting from life experience. In the case of those with Sun around 12 Cancer, there are the same emergent forces, but more visible, and they are going through relational breakdown and rebuilding.

For those with Sun around 12 Aries, it’s a waning (upper) square, showing the culmination of the life work in some way. For those with Sun around 12 Capricorn, it’s a total purification/regeneration period. Everyone with a Sun affected by Pluto needs to find self confidence in the midst of the outer chaos. Use deep insights and self discipline to bring your light into laser focus without yielding to coercions and manipulations.

Uranus is opposition those with Sun around 12 Libra. This is coaxing higher synthesized awareness of your individuality that won't give way to the moderating influences of Sun in Libra. Manage nervous energy. Be your Higher Self in all one to one interactions. Allow your special qualities to move into the world in visible ways. Allow others their individuality while claiming your own.

The same principles of the squares to signs can be applied here. Uranus is square Suns in Cancer and Capricorn, bringing the same nervous tensions and requiring that we live our individuality, whether an emergent one for Sun in Capricorn or a culminative one for Sun in Cancer. And of course, Uranus conjunct a Sun in Aries keeps the pressure of individualization very high. It’s definitely a synthesizing influence that introduces a new law of living into the life.

This square from Aries to Capricorn throws the voids into Libra and Cancer. Those with planets in Libra have a void in Cancer, while those with a planet in Cancer have a void in Libra.

If you have planets in both Cancer and Libra then you’re experiencing a Grand Cardinal Cross, which is fracturing and pulls us in multiple unresolvable directions at once. Still, if you have planets in Cancer and/or Libra, those planets are exactly what is needed to fill in the gaps and make the tension of the square work productively.

In the example, she has a Moon in Cancer. As I wrote her, the T-square to your Sun in Libra throws the void into Cancer. That's what's needed when this touches planets in Libra, just as Libra is needed when this touches planets in Cancer.

In this case, the void pulls in the Moon in Cancer, very powerful nurturer and protector in its home sign. This obviously is challenging those with a natal Cancer-Libra square. It could be said that those parts of you are the exact thing your world needs to fill in what is needed due to the larger chaotic field.

Due to Pluto’s influences, anything touched by this square is being purified and transformed. This will help us get to the core of whatever house it falls in, as well as the houses occupied by planets affected by this square. It will definitely help us recalibrate our sense of proportion, fairness, balance, or feelings about whatever it’s touching. These will be most obvious when the power of the square is released by transits of the Moon or inner planets.

However, this pressure generated by Uranus square Pluto grinding on one or more of our planets can be relieved by planets in other signs. In our example, the pressure on the Moon in Cancer is relieved by the current position of Saturn in Scorpio, showing you the way to resolve the opposition is by invoking good Taurus energy. The pressure on the Sun in Libra is relieved by the current position of Jupiter in Gemini, showing you the way to resolve that opposition is by invoking good Sagittarius energy.

As I noted in the comment stream where some of this was written, this concerns some basic building blocks of the Art of Synthesis in Astrology. When I can figure out how to do webinars, I'll start holding classes.

One thing to note: Uranus is the exact degree of my Sun, so perhaps for those in this community, what I offer you here may be the higher Uranian manifestation in your lives releasing productively through Pluto. Obviously it's not the only one, but certainly what you read here could be a possible Uranus in Aries expression in the collective atmosphere.

CANCER-5 here.... Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Uranus; my 2nd and 3rd houses are lighting up; IMO - this monumental paradigm shift of personal and collective energies will have long term global consequences. Jupiter will aid this Cancer thru this powerful period.

I went through the cardinal t-square of 2010 conjuncting my Sun at 2 Libra. I accomplished a lot during that transit. It forced me to acknowledge my power and use it in so many situations. Now this whopper is hitting my Asc at 12 Cancer and Mercury at 14 Libra. I have to admit that I am still puzzled by my own ascendant, other than the usual "personal appearance" stuff. Any insights?

Life has been an uphill battle...has been like this for over the past 10 yrs. I keep hearing every where Jupiter is going to help cancer zodiac signs from June.

Is it going to help for those with 7/10 birthdays, with Leo ascendant?
