Yes, major shifts in the energy begin today! This initiates the end game related to eliminating the ghosts of the past, and tremendous expansions are going to be set into motion.
First, let’s take a brief look at Mercury. Now that Mercury has left Gemini, it’s no longer in the sign it rules. It has been the “final dispositor” for all the other planets except Neptune, and now that it’s in Cancer, Mercury is ruled by the Moon. That means that along with its usual “Mercurial” disposition, it’s now going to shift expression every time the Moon changes signs.
That’s important because if we have planets in Gemini or Virgo (Mercury-ruled signs) that instead of these planets having Gemini as a backdrop to their current expression, which they’ve had since May 15, they will now have a more Cancerian feel to their expression. This also applies to the houses that have Gemini and Virgo on their cusps in our charts. This will last quite a while, since Mercury will go retrograde on June 26 at 24 Cancer, rx back to 14 Cancer (Fixed Star Sirius!!), go direct on that degree July 20-21, and then move forward through Cancer until it finally enters Leo on August 8.
Of equal if not greater importance is that Mars has left Taurus and entered Gemini. As Mars rules Aries and Scorpio, any planets we have in these signs will no longer have a Taurus backdrop, and we should see more versatility and discoveries in how we express these planetary energies in our lives. Obviously this applies to those houses in our charts with Aries and Scorpio on the cusp.
Mars last entered Gemini in late June 2011. Thus this is the first transit of Mars through Gemini since the very powerful Solar Eclipse at 12 Gemini that year, which is linked to the major endings and elimination of “the ghosts of the past” I’ve been telling you about since then.
So wherever that Eclipse fell in our chart, all the subsequent transits of Mercury, Venus, and the Sun since then triggered effects that helped us let go of whatever. Each one of these stripped off another layer of our past for elimination. And of course, any transit to any of the other planets in that Eclipse also triggered variations of letting go with the voids being filled with more contemporary activities.
Still, Mars cycles are what initiate new activity wherever it transits, and it hasn’t transited Gemini since late June through early August 2011. This will be the first time it has transited the Eclipse degree. So it will stimulate those Eclipse effects, but it is also the beginning of the end of those Eclipse effects, which last until February 2015.
Mars triggers activity wherever it transits. It agitates, initiates, pushes, and stimulates expression and movement of any point or planet it touches. It may be through aggravation, or excitement, or a rush of fast paced activity, but in all cases it pushes activity forward. It will now push Gemini activity through July 13, so if you have any planets in Gemini you can expect a quickening around those activities in your life.
And so we can assume that when Mars transits the 12 Gemini Eclipse degree (between 5 pm PDT June 15/ 1 am Greenwich June 16 and 3 am PDT/ 11 am Greenwich June 17) it will both initiate and complete some sort of activity around letting go of the ghosts of the past in the house where you have 12 Gemini. This will also begin new activity that fills the voids created by the Eclipse. If there’s agitation in the personality, you can bet it’s directly connected to those parts of the past that must be finally eliminated once and for all.
Even after it moves past the Eclipse degree, setting things into motion in a variety of ways, we will be dealing with the end game of letting go of the ghosts of the past. And you can bet we'll see major shifts the entire last half of June, since Mars transits the Gemini zone of the Grand Irrationality. I'll be writing about that in a couple of weeks.
By July we’ll have moved into new allegiances. And it’s a wonderful thing that Mars is setting into motion the promise and expansions indicated by Jupiter’s transit of the Eclipse degree (August and November/December 2012, March/April 2013). Jupiter gave us philosophical and spiritual truths around why those ghosts had to be eliminated, as well as a promise of opportunity.
So while we’re still going to be doing some cleanup work on the residue of those ghosts, we’ll also grow into a greater awareness around what we’ve let go of, what we’re still letting go of, and what’s left to eliminate. Again, this is the beginning of the end of the long term process we’ve all been through since June 2011.
Blessings are to be found in any Gemini area stimulated into growth these past 12 months. Opportunity is on the move, and much that’s been promised since June 2012 via our discoveries will now be set into motion in June and early July.

Good news! And an article that gives light at the end of the tunnel! All teh dates you mentioned were very significant for either my husband (stellium in Gemini, including Sun in 12th, Ascendant & Mercury in 1st conjunct Asc!!) So lots of change awaits him in the next few months.
And I, of course, have a stellium in Sagittarius, so my shadow has really been stirred up these last few years. Feeling quite exhausted but this article give me strength to just push through that little bit more - the beginning of the end is in sight! :)

Just getting into astrology.
My mars in in Gemini in the 9th house.
I noticed mars is in gemini right now and was trying to get an idea of what this means, and I was wondering how to find out what house mars is in right now?
