Right now we have a pretty good planetary light show in the early evening!
Around sunset, if you look into the western sky, you’ll see Venus just above the horizon, with Mercury above it and Jupiter above Mercury. So you should be able to see this triple planetary alignment every evening for about a week. After that Mercury and Venus will still be in the western sky around sundown, but Jupiter will be too close to the Sun.
Also, at sunset Saturn is rising in the Eastern sky. After sunset at this time, Saturn continues to get higher and higher in the Eastern sky as the Moon rises. So we have the Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter aligned on the Western horizon right as Saturn is rising in the Eastern sky. Then after the stellium in Gemini sets in the west, the Moon makes an appearance in the East, with Saturn riding high in the sky.
On a related note, that means Mercury and Venus will be conjunct Jupiter over the next 49 hours, bringing a great fusion wherever we have 24 Gemini. This will set things into motion for the next year in that part of our charts. As that was the degree where Venus went retrograde in May 2012, and this is the first time Venus has returned to its RX span, perhaps Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter will bring us echoes of that retrograde, as well as bring teachings, blessings, and people into our lives representing what we've learned since then.
Anyway, enjoy the show! More articles on the eclipse coming up!!
