Following up on the recent entry of Mercury into Cancer to be followed by Venus’ entry into Cancer tomorrow, remember these transits are creating a Grand Water Trine with Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces. This should get things moving in a very stable and harmonious way.
This article will not be an exhaustive study of these trines, as I’ll be composing more along the way. Suffice it to say that wherever we have early Cancer, early Scorpio, and early Pisces in our charts should provide a harmony or stability in our flow.
This will also favorably impact those with planets in early Taurus, early Virgo, and early Capricorn. Even the oppositions to Pluto in Capricorn from the transits in Cancer can turn out favorably due to Saturn in Scorpio in favorable aspect to Pluto in Capricorn.
This will further the productive momentum achieved when the inner planets were in early Taurus back in late April. Whatever was solidified then will become more stable, fluid, and harmonized as the inner planets roll through early Cancer and make the trines.
So enjoy this first wave of stabilized, harmonized fluidity, and remember that water is the metaphor. Water changes state, and can be a solid, liquid, or gas. Water seeks its own level. Water fills up low spaces, and then flows over the rim in a perfect conservation of energy. Water follows the line of flow.
If one of the qualities of the global shift in consciousness at the last Winter Solstice is that feelings are now an equally valid way of “knowing” whatever there is to be known, then this should help us all clearly understand which way our “fluid knowing” is taking us. At least we’ll reach a stable understanding of what we’re feelings, why we’re feeling it, what others are feeling, and how to go with the flow, whether it gets deep and still or into whitewater rapids.
As is usual in these times, the principles of surfing apply to what’s happening. Be willing to shift the balance as needed, learn to lower the center of gravity as needed, and learn to back off from the nose of the board when it feels like it will upend. Not too far forward, not too far back, not too much to the left or right except to maintain the balance while riding the wave. And remember to enjoy the ride!!

I have 5' natal Uranus in 8th house Cancer; always concerned when its' Uranus and/or when it hits the 8th house. To add to the drama, it opposes transiting Pluto/ natal Jupiter in the 2nd. However, I read that this upcoming Grand Water Trine transits last occured in the summer of 1967. I was a teenager, just starting college but it was an exciting and very happy time in my life. I coulkd stand a little carefree water healing time at this age.

Looking forward to this one...it's hitting my natal Grand Trine in the early degrees of water. I am already feeling an overflow of creativity :)

Hi Suzanne - I also have Uranus at 6 Cancer, spiritual ruler of my 7th. My wife is having a blast!! Me? I'm just working....
Pluto on natal Jupiter requires clarity about what is truly in your best interests. As for the "Summer of Love" in 1967, what you read is NOT the case. One more rumor created out of whole cloth. There was a Grand Water Trine from transits in late Pisces, Jupiter in late Cancer, and Neptune in late Scorpio in March-April of 1967, but the "Summer of Love" was created by Venus conjunct Jupiter in Leo trine Saturn in Aries followed by Sun and Mercury conjunct Jupiter in Leo trine Saturn. We did have Mars in Sag trine Saturn in late September. But no Grand Water Trine during the Summer of Love.
And yes, I also felt it was exciting and happy. It was. We experienced something that there were no words to describe at the time, but in the years since then I've realized we all experienced "tribe." We knew who knew and who didn't.
While there were still a lot of ego problems and individual hangups, it was a magical initiation of a generation into a oneness no one had experienced before then in that collective way. We stepped outside of cultural norms, experienced a magic unlike anything known to those in authority, and paid the price for that awareness. But at least some of us realized, applied those realizations, and lived that direct experience for the rest of our lives, however imperfectly. Monterey!
"Young gods smiled upon the crowd, Their music being born of love
Children danced night and day, Religion was being born, Down in Monterey
Three days of understanding Of moving with one another
Even the cops grooved with us Do you believe me? Yeah
Down in Monterey Down in Monterrey, yeah
I think that maybe I'm dreamin'
Monterey Monterey, yeah Down in Monterey"
Eric Burdon and the New Animals perform "Monterey"
For those who wonder what all the fuss was about, here's The Summer of Love Documentary. While some of it seems a bit naive and quaint, it was still the first time a generation found itself outside the looking glass staring in at the weird scenes inside the gold mine. And of course you should poke around the find the original movie with the music and the magic! The Who, Mamas and the Papas, Hugh Masekela, the Greatful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, the Byrds, Janis, Butterfield Blues Band, Simon and Garfunkel, Jimi, and a whole lot more. It really was a magical time.....

Hello, in my natal chart, I have Mars 17 Degrees Cancer, Jupiter 20 Degrees Cancer, Saturn 29 Degrees Pisces and Neptune in 19 Degrees Scorpio. This Grand Water Trine seems to be hitting my natal chart everywhere!!! What does that really mean. I am a Leo, Ascendant Sagittarius...Will my life turn around completely?
