For the next 10 days, Mars is in the Gemini zone of the Grand Irrationality. This begins an intense period when many important choices and shifts in destiny will take place as a result of all we’ve let go of since the June 2011 Solar Eclipse in Gemini, and precipitates our movement into the new ideas and ideals we’ve explored since August 2012.
This makes 3 of the 7 zones highly active: Mars in Gemini, Pluto in Capricorn, and Neptune in Pisces now are set into dynamic motion each time the Moon, Ascendant, or Midheaven occupy one or more of these zones. If you have a natal or progressed planet or angle in any of the 7 zones of this configuration, expect some heavy decisions and events forcing you to see some things that will determine your future direction.
These zones are approximately 9-13 Capricorn, 1-5 Pisces, 22-26 Aries, 14-18 Gemini, 5-9 Leo, 26-30 Virgo, and 17-21 Scorpio. To address something I’ve been asked, yes, if you have something a degree or two to either side, the Grand Irrationality is affecting you.
It can show as a curious compulsion in you or another, or maybe things get a little crazy and you see that changes must be made. These changes may be easy or hard, depending on what you’ve set up that leads to those moments when your character must assert itself and forge your future destiny. It could accompany a sudden change, a loss, a confrontation with an inevitability, or anything that shows you a fork in the road has been reached and you must choose which fork you will take.
It will require some sense of balance, grace, perspective or proportion to do what must be done. It will probably also require some good juggling or communication skills, and may involve multiple activities or multiple levels of approach or understanding within one set of larger activities.
It will most dramatically affect those with planets or points around 13-19 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces, since Mars will be in the often-challenging aspects of the square, opposition, or conjunction. Expect some friction, heat, or urgency to show up spurring you forward in those areas of your life. Major turning points are indicated if you have a planet or angle in those areas.
Since the last New Moon on June 8 was at 19 Gemini and biseptiled Neptune, it brought the Grand Irrationality front and center for the entire month of June into early July. That set a “trigger” that Mars is now activating. This will bring forth major actions and events that throw “destiny” forward, showing us how to shape our future.
Mars is triseptile Pluto from now (June 17) through June 23, making it a major factor in the coming Solstice chart. Mars will biseptile Neptune June 23 through 27, making it a major factor in the coming Full Moon chart AND the Jupiter entry into Cancer chart AND the Mercury stationary retrograde chart. Pay attention to what you’re learning, hearing, seeing, and doing, since what’s coming down will impact you through late September due to the Solstice effect and through mid-October due to the Mercury retrograde effect.
So it’s safe to say that we are moving into an intense 11 days that will have ripples for the next 4 months. Based in other factors, we are entering a period of radical choices, changes, forks in the road in many areas of our lives, and intensification of everything leading us to a deeper personality integration, especially in areas where we have Aries, Gemini, Capricorn, and Pisces.
Be alert, swap information and get feedback, open lines of communication, and you’ll come to some core ideas and understanding directly related to the past New Moon. Please re-read what that Lunation was about, since this transit triggers the effects in major ways, and punctuates everything we’ve been letting go of and learning about for the past 2 years.

ps - A big happy goes out to the legendary Igor Stravinsky (17 June 1882 – 6 April 1971), another of the truly great composers of all time. "The Rite of Spring" opened some huge musical doors forever, and coupled with the panels painted by the equally legendary Nicholas Roerich, I can only imagine that it was like nothing the world had imagined before that moment. It would seem late Gemini produces some all-time talent!!
Thank you very much for this guidance.
I've been feeling the intensity very much as you describe. I'll also be relieved once we will all be through this tunnel of darkness into joy.
My IC is 13 Gemini, Sagg 13 MC, 20 degree Natal Saturn in Scorpio, 9 degree Leo Moon.
As you can imagine, I've been busy, as you say, paying attention and aware that new dynamics are showing growth.
Ty very much again for your helpful writings.

ohhhhh that makes sense, I have chiron at 5 pisces descendant at 26 aries and MC at 5 Leo. I drew back into unseen mode as a youngsteer as my "gifts" especially the spiriutal ones because of societal unacceptability and on the odd occasion when i was thrust into the spot light it triggered negative reactions from those who saw themselves to be "experts" in the field of intuitive arts, healing and philosophy because i would not tow the line or cow tow to their dogmatic fear driven controls, so been happy helping many while remaining unseen, and suddenly I am having difficulty keeping my mouth shut or being unnoticed (doesnt help that my neptune in scorp is in 1st house and with saturn prodding my cloak of invisibility seems to be failing at times lol) but yes, I do see it as "timing" and a leap of faith involved as Jupiter moves passed sextile my nth node and onto my 0' sun in my 9th house, it will take a leap of faith for this cosy in my shell these days cancerian to embrace my libra asc and go forth, however the past is indeed dead and gone and this may well be my potential time to be able to serve well, hmm will require a bit of centering to remain harmonised though, feels like de ja vu lol, quite spinny!

oh and I have been battling hypochondria due to hyper vigilance this past 6 weeks, power of mind suggestion to have faith in the healing process, every little twinge or sensation and the mind wants to allocate it to one of the many health threats that our society has brain washed us with so much, just mentioning it in case others are too, because its not good to direct ones power or thought energy to those fears, pay attention and see a doctor if you really think it is something that needs addressing to heal, is my advice I have many clients who have been in contact as have been going through this too so not just me and simply hoping to ease anyones irrational fears :)

All completely makes sense now. I thought I had it all pinned, at least for the next year or so, and now I realize that I can't live my old paradigm of 'security' any more. I need to leave my old way of being behind and go for what really interests me. At the same time I am confronted with old insecurities from childhood time. It's about being appreciated and valued and knowing your self-worth and actually knowing that you are able to choose your environment. This all plays on my Venus/Saturn in Aries (10th) and Pluto in Virgo in the 4th. I can literally smell change coming on again by July. Exciting times.

I've become a bit irrational myself these last couple of days - this helps explain it!
It's complicated, with my First House Natal Mars now transiting my 6th House and my 11th House Natal Pluto transiting the house(third) which contains my Natal Saturn. Aaargh, for the second time in a lunation!
Close to tears often and frustrated with the world.Especially communication wise It helps a lot to know that this, as with all things on this plane, is fleeting. But also that I may still have the opportunity to learn from it.
Love,
Terri in Joburg
