Today at 9:11 am PDT, 5:11 pm Greenwich the Sun conjuncted Jupiter at 29 Gemini. This is important.
Each year the Sun conjuncts Jupiter, illuminating and powering up the Jupiter lesson of that degree for the next 13 months. Where the conjunction falls is where we get a new set of truths, higher and/or broader understanding, or maybe just opportunities to expand our lives.
This conjunction is at 29 Gemini, where we are told we can take new "collective materials" and weave them so they offer our world a sense of what our special gifts and talents could look like. This is a technique to exteriorize some discovery in an individual or spiritual way.
In 2012, the conjunction fell at 24 Taurus, forcing us to see the broader context of our "mission," or perhaps utilize another's expertise in some effective way, or even defend who we are or what we are here to do since May 2012. Wherever this degree falls in our chart has been the point of this past year's Sun conjunct Jupiter.
In 2011, the conjunction fell at 17 Aries, affecting April 2011 through May 2012. In 2010, the conjunction fell at 10 Pisces, affecting March 2010 through April 2011. In 2009 the conjunction fell at 5 Aquarius, affecting January 2009 through March 2010. In 2008 the conjunction fell at 1 Capricorn, affecting December 2007 through January 2009. See where each of these fell in your chart to see the patterns of growth implied by these conjunctions.
Enjoy the new ways of expressing your special qualities in versatile or adaptable forms. This Gemini empowerment will last through July 2014, when the next conjunction will fall at 2 Leo.
That means there will be no Sun conjunct Jupiter in Cancer this year or next year. The last one was in 2002, and next one will be 2025. Because of the speed of Jupiter's orbit, every so often a sign will be skipped, which has its own interesting implications.
So consider a new adventure has been launched wherever you have 29 Gemini in your chart. And this adventure will be easy or hard on other parts of your life depending on what aspects are in play.

Pray tell, what does this mean for those who have Gemini in major placements in their charts?

Hi Robyn - Well, those with Gemini planets have been expanded or taught via Jupiter this past year, and now this specific zone in Gemini is powered up as an "enlightened expansive" influence.

too bad about Cancer. when i was born in 1954 the Sun (7º), Jupiter (8º)and Moon (2º)were in conjunction. i'm excited about my Jupiter return. and Mars joining in July will make it even more interesting i'm sure!! :)

Thanks Robert. Also does 29 Gemini have any particular message for us. And does Betelgeuse impact this significantly?
Many thanks

When Jupiter and Sun conjunct in cancer? Should we cancers wait until then to see real "cancer results"?

Is it real! No Jupiter and Sun conjunct in cancer?
Next year it will be in leo....

Hi all - There are so many conjunctions in Cancer that are occurring now that we'll have PLENTY of Cancer cycles set into motion for the future. Still, this Sun conj Jupiter is in your solar 12th, promising rewards and closures. Sun conjunct Jupiter in the solar first in Leo could be good for many Cancers. More extroversion. More play. More "confidence of self expression." So you Cancers enjoy the rewards at the close of a long cycle, and I have no doubt that my Autumn 2014 you'll all be expressing yourselves with style and confidence, stars on stage!
