This Full Moon at 3 Cancer-Capricorn is cardinal, activating, direct, and moves our lives forward slowly, steadily, and surely. This one offers us tests of character as we get out beyond the known and familiar. Letting go of the past opens the door to life renewals. We are all learning what and who to trust.
Today's article will cover an overview of the Lunation and some of its primary qualities. Part 2 will cover the various rising signs around the globe and the Sabian Symbols. Part 3 will cover the aspects, configurations and patterns, and which signs are most likely to be affected by where this falls in their charts.
This initiating, organizing, and highly intuitive Full Moon that will pull us in many different (and sometimes conflicted) directions falls at the 3rd degree of Cancer and Capricorn. This Lunation, helping us redirect the flow in practical ways as we’re offered the “mantle of power” to take the lead in our social field in some way, occurs June 23 at 4:32 am PDT, 7:32 am EDT, and 12:27 pm Greenwich.
An overview of this period ruled by this Full Moon shows it will illuminate our ability to move into unknown zones of growth and development, where “our will leads our minds toward distant reaches of the Soul.” Here we both anticipate what is just around the bend, as well as find ourselves seeking and/or feeling new experiences. This brings a punctuation point to the Jupiter in Gemini year, and shows us what we should expect in the first three weeks of July.
This Lunation is short on inspiration with a lot of focus on feelings and diversified thinking. This will be an enormously productive Full Moon, even if it does bring echoes of 2009-2010 when Pluto was at 3 Capricorn. Seed forms created or planted back then will yield results over the next 2 weeks, or in some way the feeling-experiences of the next two weeks are related to core issues and events from then.
The focus of the light shows the need to be open to new experiences that will help the Soul to grow. The Moon in Capricorn will help to bring productive movement to the Grand Water Trine created by the Sun in Cancer trine Saturn in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces.
This will directly relate to the aspects in play at the Summer Solstice just a few days before this Full Moon, so please take a new look at that article to see a lot of what’s in play during this Full Moon. If nothing else, it’ll remind you of how Mars is setting the Grand Irrationality into major motion through the just separating triseptile to Pluto and the strongly forming biseptile to Neptune in this chart.
Mars in this chart is at 17 Gemini, the exact degree where Jupiter went stationary retrograde in early October 2012. That indicates much that we began to learn at that threshold state through the time when Jupiter went back over that degree in mid-April will be set into motion over the next 2 weeks.
So if you began something then that hasn’t developed as quickly as you would have liked, or you saw an opportunity or possibility of expansion that seemed to stall in late 2012 and early 2013, you should see some motion directly related to that Jupiter promise begin over the next two weeks. If nothing else, there will be some vitality transformed into mind power to assist the expansion promised by this Lunation.
So we’ve completed a huge chapter of letting go of the ghosts of the past, and this Full Moon helps us move in new directions through redirecting our energies to new cares, concerns, and responsibilities. All in all, this will be an extremely productive period, without much friction. What’s coming will help us continue to secure a greater security in July and August.
This Full Moon helps us move into new regions of consciousness, feeling, and thought as we stand on the threshold of the review promised by Mercury about to go retrograde. As this Lunation makes a very powerful opposition, sextile, and trine to Saturn and Neptune, the voids in Taurus and Virgo indicate a time when we should be able to flow in positive directions and feeling like our life is in productive and harmonious motion.
The series of Grand Water Trines that began in early June are helping all of us find appropriate emotional vehicles to navigate this time of tremendous feelings. Once we find the right “emotional intelligence,” then the more we care, the more we become sensitive to, the easier the flow through the crosscurrents indicated by Uranus square Pluto. We cannot avoid the crosscurrents, but we do not have to feel helpless in navigating them. Again, we are learning to trust the process.
The last three Full Moons were the “High Moons” of Spring in the Northern Hemisphere. These brought new life, new wisdom, and a new world teaching into manifestation. Here we all turn a corner based in how these wisdom forms have developed over the past two months. We’ve all been launched into new initiatives, and torn ourselves away from “the known and familiar.” This led to a breakdown in old ways of thinking leading us to a greater peace and poise from being able to know what’s is usually not noticed by ego.
This one begins to show us a new stability, a new way of understanding time and what it takes to create something lasting. As Saturn is now on the degree where it will go direct in July, we now have a new sense of permanence as part of our process of rising to a more refined level of social interaction, or a higher, more sophisticated and refined way of relating to ours and others’ feelings as we move through social experiences.
This is a very long term structuring power offered to humanity at this time. We now have learned the power of harmlessness, and those who have lessened their fear can now radiate a calm that transcends normal understanding. Think of it as refining a wilderness into beautiful gardens.
We all began to learn how to overcome fear in the Spring of 2012, and then entered an unknown space time sector where we began to learn to view much of what goes on at core through a sense of life being a “science experiment,” with our task to understand the laws that underlie what’s going on. Though separating, the Saturn sextile Pluto continues to be with us for quite a while, so relax into the intensified feelings and experience the beginning of the emergence of a new life inertia or momentum.
Again, I’ll write more about these things in part 3. The next two weeks will bring new orientations, new cares, new feelings, and a new sense of stability. Family and personal feelings will run strong, and some will be offered grace or a “mantle of power” that will help them take the lead in their world in some way. For some, impatience and frustration at the pace of the process. For others, a new identity suddenly revealed that revolutionizes the life.
There is a potential for an extraordinarily productive time for those who have learned how to flow and not “push the river.” Here we can move in new directions that may be challenging, but help our personality to grow into a greater Soul awareness and strength.
Opportunity and openings come from seeing new standards of value, of work, of aspiration, and of allegiance. Here we step into a time of “raising the bar” and demonstrating more perfect forms of who we are and what we do.
With the preponderance of planets in Gemini and Cancer, open to new ways of applying the ideas you’ve discovered this past year, and feel the flow of the new life directions. This one helps us get and stay very clear about what we do and do not care about. The Grand Irrationality is in full motion, as are other “non-rational” aspects that will affect almost every part of our lives.
So prepare for an intense period of major choices, though if you know the flow you’ll feel what needs to be done and be able to address it on multiple levels. Things may not make much sense, but they don’t have to. Just remember we’re ALL turning huge corners, so make your decisions, get the information and vision you need, and follow the flow of your feelings into new ways of living.

Yes... turning huge corners.... illuminating our ability to move into unknown zones of growth and development; learning to navigate the waters and not push them. Image: under a giant waterfall. Tomorrow is my B-day. Thanks again Robert for your insight and candor.

The corner turning is most welcome, as is the stability and new perspectives. Both issues are important and much needed.
Best,
Nic

Ackkkkkk....no more growth! please!
I swear I'm in that "dark night of the soul" phase that you read about.... as I find myself wondering if I will ever feel/be happy again...or even for that matter, balanced.
And as to "We are all learning what and who to trust" you can say that again well that one slammed me in the head over the past couple days too

there's a very interesting double interlocked kite pattern activated by the FM and transiting planets on my BC.
I've Jupiter in VI at 3° Capricorn, Mars at 4° Pisces in VIII opposed Pluto at 3° Virgo in II, Neptune at 8° Scorpio in IV .
transiting Sun, Moon (and largely Pluto), Neptune and Saturn on Jupiter, Mars, Pluto, Neptune rx seem to hit twice.
not so easy to find the key to understand it though apart from the obvious (my ageing parents bad health) and current financial problems.

Robert: We read and discussed this article and your article on the Solstice in our Full Moon Group tonight here in the Sacred Black Hills. The group asked me to send you a thank you note. As always your insights are timely and profound. When you combine the Cardinal T-Square, the Grand Water Trine, The Solstice and the Full Moon, all we can say is WOW! Many of us here have been attending and supporting Sun Dances, as this is the season for Ceremony here. Some really good things are happening right now within the First Nations communities here. Old alliances are being reformed. The sense of unity amoung the people is building. One Traditional Elder that I have known for many years and have great respect for recently was reported to have said at a Sun Dance that 26,000 years ago people were here in the Black Hills. They were making prayers for those of us that are here now that we will experience unity. He said that the people all those years ago were focusing on this Summer. He then said that we are being called upon to make prayers for the people that will be here in the Black Hills and all over the planet in another 26000 years.
All of us here are sending you, Mikal, and everyone gathered with you there much Love, Light, and Power.

Kite! The Full Moon split the Grand Trine down the middle to creat a Kite. The Capricorn Moon at the top, leads it upward. This Full Moon has the potential to manifest paths that will take us on wonderful journey. "Let's go fly a kite, up to the highest hight"
