While I'm definitely not a royalist, nor do I approve of an extraordinarily wealthy family living off the public dole, I will take this moment to welcome His very young Majesty into the world. I have his birth chart.
We still don't have a name yet, but he is a Sun at 30 Cancer, Moon at 30 Capricorn, and Ascendant at 28 Scorpio (which won't change even if they determine he was born a minute later, which is already being asserted.)

Yep - that's what I got too. Lots of trines! The Cap moon and Scorpio ascendant lend a leadership air to that late cancer sun. Uranus/Pluto could be worrisome - or who knows, maybe he'll be the last King of England. What's your take, Robert?

Cheers to the family and young royal! Congrats to you all in the Commonwealth!

Hi Diane - Well, I once read that Scorpio is the ultimate "cocoon" sign, which certainly fits Charles, who it seems is destined never to be King. Don't know why he'd want the job at his age anyway, but it sure doesn't seem that QEII is going anywhere anytime soon! So with Scorpio rising, he may also be "cocooned" in some way.
The quintile-tredecile from Uranus is one of the strongest mitigating aspects to the opposition, and yes, the Moon is ruled by Saturn, and Saturn by Mars, so the trine is a very strong factor in this chart. And Mercury on Sirius is a very good thing.
As for being the last King of England, I believe it was Nostradamus who put forth that the name of the last King of England would be the same as the first. That makes William, the baby's dad, as in the running for being the last King of England. The King is undead! Long live the undead King!

The Grand trine will obviously give him much protection whenever he needs it. being a prince that goes without saying. hopefully the spiritual blessings will be felt as well. i agree there are strong leadership qualities with Scorpio asc., Pluto and Moon in Cap. Because of his Cancer planets he should be sympathetic to the common people and popular with them. i wouldn't worry too much about Uranus/Pluto, after all a whole generation has that square. someone might take a shot at him- but the Grand trine will be there to save him. looks like a great and promising chart to me. :)

Princess Diana had grand trines too!

Scorp ascendant - lots of presence, much of it outwardly scary! I have 2 of those in my household; I'm one of them.
But I'm a tad disappointed at his missing the Leo Sun by a few minutes.
Love,
Terri in Joburg
(PS gaaah - I agree with you, Robert, about the Royals. But it seems to be a pervading meme right now)

Robert, thanks for questioning the 4:25 PM time. I only heard it once, and I've chalked it up to my having misheard it. It's definitely 4:24 PM BST. :)
That Grand Trine has two oppositions in it, which I thought was interesting. I've seen kites with *one* opposition in the Grand Trine, but two!

From a English subject of our constitutional monarchy, some additional info. Kate is a Capricorn with her Moon in Cancer. William is Cancerian as was his mother Princess Diana. The Mars/Jupiter combination is also in QEII's chart though hers is in Aquarius. If he had been a Leo he'd have joined the late Princess Margaret, our Queen's sister and Princess Anne, the Queen's daughter.
It is a well known misconception that this is a wealthy family living off the backs of the people. This is not true. The Crown Estates contribute far more to the Exchequer (Treasury) then they receive back via the Civil list. At a pound a YEAR for each of us we feel our Head of State provides very good value for money. Please remember that they don't own Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle or most of the Royal Collection of artworks or the Crown Jewels. The word Crown is the give-away. The monarch and The Crown are 2 completely different things. The incumbent on the throne is only the current representative of The Crown.
Like the Vatican, the City of London is in fact a City State within our country with it's own Lord Mayor, Police Force and trappings of State. It is far more complex than most people realise.
In comparison, I've read that the POTUS costs $1.4 billion a year to maintain. I think we do pretty well out of our monarchy and I certainly wouldn't trade places. Whatever you think of our Queen she has been a very hard worker, even now in her 80s and is a true embodiment of what it means to do your duty for your Country. Long may she reign.
PS William the Conqueror was not the first King of England.

thank you Rossa for the clarification! many people are clueless about the monarchy and history of England. very well said. i'm an English descendant on both sides (granted about 14 generations back- Quaker, Puritan, as well as German, Norman and Aquitanian) and have studied English history. :)

Curiosity got the better of me and had to read up on the history... England was taken in battle so many times by different countries that I could not decide who would be considered the "first" king once the invasions stopped...??? Somehow I don't think they would name him 'Athelstan'. So more likely Edward or William is the safer bet. Thanks for the history lesson! LOL
Cheers to the new baby no matter what he is named!
