We’re now entering the heart of the Uranus in Aries era. It has offered all of us possibilities to individuate, to renovate, to revolutionize our lives wherever it is transiting in our charts. Today we begin a new look at Uranus in Aries!
I first offered you this 3-part series about 2 1/2 years ago when Uranus made its final entry into Aries after dancing on the cusp of Pisces and Aries between May 2010 and March 2011. It will be solidly in Aries through May 2018, and then it dances on the cusp of Aries and Taurus until March 2019 when it enters Taurus for a number of years.
Now that Uranus is in the second third (decan) of Aries and doing its retrograde review of the span of 9-13 degrees of Aries, I thought it might be a good thing to review the material I gave you in the Spring of 2011. This may offer a fresh look at what has been, what is, and what is yet to come over the next 5 years while Uranus continues its trek through the Cardinal Fire of Aries.
So as not to reinvent the wheel while omitting valuable information that may have been topical in 2011, I decided that rather than do an entire rewrite, I’ll reprint the articles as originally published, and if I must make an addition or correction, I’ll do that. For your reconsideration,
Uranus in Aries March 2011 - The Advent of A New Era Pt. 1
Uranus is now (written March 2011) at the end of the end of Pisces. Tomorrow it will enter Aries again, the sign it will inhabit until May 2018. This is the beginning of the era we've been anticipating and activating since Summer 2010, when Uranus first entered Aries before retrograding back into Pisces.
Uranus in Aries shows us the promise of a new way of Being and acting in new directions. This is going to bring forms of rebirth wherever we have early Aries in our birth charts. Certainly, everyone who has planets in early Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn is going to experience some fairly radical changes!
Uranus individualizes us according to the Higher Law of our Being. It shows us our creative uniqueness, and can bring forth radical changes that move us into new directions we've never known, or bring forth specialized manifestations of individualizing patterns we've accepted.
We've already gotten a taste of what Uranus in Aries in 2011 will bring, having experienced both Jupiter and Uranus in the first degrees of Aries throughout the Summer of 2010. So in some ways, since Uranus will occupy the first 5 degrees of Aries through March 2012, we're going to be experiencing life revolutions through the Higher Laws appropriate to our Spiritual Individuality we glimpsed last Summer.
So what can we expect from Uranus in Aries? While it certainly augurs the advent of a new 7-year era, as well as a new 84-year era, it's not the first time nor the last time it's been in the volatile, pioneering, impulsive, headstrong, "tip of the spear" sign of Aries!
So though we can expect "revolutionary developments" over the next 7 years, these will be of an Aries nature, just as the "revolutionary developments" of 2003-2011 were of a Pisces nature, and the "revolutionary developments" of 1995-2003 were of an Aquarian nature. We're ALWAYS going through "revolutionary developments" on Earth, just of different natures affecting different parts of our reality.
Here I'll remind you that it often takes many months or even years for these to be evident. The "Sacred Seven" planets anchor the Divine Triad of Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto in various forms according to their various cycles. That's why some of the Plutonic seeds planted in collective consciousness by Neptune and awakened in individual consciousness by Uranus may take a while before they can be seen in their true nature and broadest expression.
Aries, the sign of the seed sprouting up from the darkness to the light via the medium of seeking heat, seeks to give life to all that is moving it from darkness to light. Aries can be a definitely disruptive influence, but also initiates action entirely of its own motivation.
Aries is a leadership energy, always exploring the unknown, the new, the innovative. Aries is what gives us all a front-end look at new realities as these spring to life from the 10,000 seeds that are being continually planted by Life itself. And Aries in turn spreads these 10,000 seeds widely. It is not for Aries to tend those seeds, but merely to spread them so that each of the other signs finds the seeds appropriate for them to tend.
Please keep in mind that Uranus in Aries will impact each of us differently, since we've each developed different ways of responding to natal, progressed, or transiting Aries energy. Remember there are both "good" disruptions as well as "bad" ones. Often an abrupt creative turn to the new, even if a bit daunting, is better than staying where there is no more life electricity.
There's a lot being written about the very dramatic developments we should see coming fairly quickly from the entry of Uranus into Aries. However, this is just one more step in the Eternal Dance of human evolution. As I pointed out earlier, there have been many such times in history! We’ll explore these in future parts of this series.
While there will be periods these next 7 years (and beyond!) that seem very disruptive, there have always been such times. At some point a status quo must end, and anything that effects that revolution will be seen as disruptive.
As we move from the old era to the new, it will be helpful to remember that we are collectively birthing a new view of Life, Matter, Energy, Light, Magnetism, and Electricity. We've already made great strides since the end of the Kali Yuga over these past 300 years, and now are fully entering the Dwapara Yuga, said to be the Great Age of "Electromagnetic Remembrance."
As Uranus is "the Awakener," the Divine Quality of the Law of Synthesis, we will see the emergence of the new Divine Seeds that were set when Pluto conjuncted the Galactic Center a few years ago. This is the emergent point in Cosmic Time, when new laws, new order, new structures, new governments, new disciplines, and a new sense of responsibility is coming upon the human race.
As we individually act, as we individually create, as we individually synthesize, more efficient ways of doing our Being will come forth. This is the time when the new archetypal roles we explored between November 2009 and April 2010 and brought forth beginning August 2010 will show as individual forms appropriate to our Higher Law driving us toward individualization.
The Seeker who danced on the edge of the threshold in the Summer of 2010 is now demanded to live that dynamic new life! A line from Lucille Clifton seems apropos here: "You might as well answer the door my child, the truth is furiously knocking!
In parts 2 and 3 we'll explore more about the qualities and characteristics of Uranus in Aries, Uranus square Pluto, and previous historical periods of Uranus in Aries.

Uranus is conjunct my Jupiter at 12 Aries in the first house, which is the focal point of a yod with Neptune in my eighth house and Pluto in my sixth. Big year for me!

"If they answer not to thy call walk alone
If they are afraid and cower mutely facing the wall,
O thou unlucky one,
open thy mind and speak out alone.
.
If they turn away, and desert you when crossing the wilderness,
O thou unlucky one,
trample the thorns under thy tread,
and along the blood-lined track travel alone.
.
If they do not hold up the light when the night is troubled with storm,
O thou unlucky one,
with the thunder flame of pain ignite thy own heart,
and let it burn alone."

Today is my mother's 85th birthday. She is still growing and evolving. She still surprises me.
On another note, I wonder how Uranus in Aries, with all that individuation, affects domestic partnerships and other intimate relationships, especially when each partner is already eccentric or treading a highly individual path. I have a feeling that a lot of focus on avoiding power struggles may be needed.

Robert, once again a little uncomfortable reading your very interesting arcticle (in fact I had read it when you first published it). You know, the kind of discomfort we feel when we realize like being puppets in the universe's hands. I am talking about the revolutionary developments you mention.
I have to say that Uranus is my favourite planet. First of all because of its archetypal meaning. I identify with the Prometheus archetype, as a life attitude and my chart is really uranian. Uranus in the 3rd 21o Leo ruling the 9th. Uranus trines a stellium of Mercury 6o, Moon 11o, Venus 18o and Sun 24o Aries in 11th. It has no hard aspects at all in my chart. Whatever Uranian is of positive significance to me. In addition, on 26o Aquarious in 9th, the last Solar Eclipse before my birth took place, which is a point that shows what I have come to offer this world. And indeed. Higher education, philosophy and particular distant countries are of significant importance to me. Another thing, Jupiter at 4o Aquarius -end of 8th - sextiles Mercury in Aries in 11th.
What I am trying to say is that revolutionary developments you mention, for me have as follows. Uranus in Aquarius 1995-2003. That is the end of 8th and almost the whole of 9th. I started my studies in Social Sciences as a mature student at the beginning of 2004. That was for the first 2 years. Then I went on with Psychology for the next 4 years. I was studying part time as I was working to make a living at the same time. In 1999 and towards completion of my BSc, completely unexpectedly I was employed by Olympic Airways, the Greek state airline, which I think has to do with Aquarius... right? I worked at an international airport in Athens for the next 7 years, while at the same time doing my internship as a psychologist from 1999-2001. I have also to say that transiting Uranus opposed natal Uranus at that period. In September 2001 I started my MSc in Applied Forensic Psychology and a few months later I started working as a volunteer at the Drug Dependence Unit of the State Mental Hospital of Athens till 2006, when I was officially employed. And all these while I was working at the airport for OA. My MC at 1,48o Pisces, which means Pisces is my career sign for me. I am a therapist, which means it is directly relevant to my subject matter. When I was officially employed by the hospital, Uranus squared my ascendant. In Aries, Uranus transits my 11th and conjucts my stellium there. I relocated to Thailand when it first conjucted Mercury ruler of my chart and my 4th. I came back when it conjucted again after it was retrograting. Now and till January 2015 it is conjuct my Moon. I am in search of a job abroad once again and rely on this conjuction to have more opportunities.
I hope I didn't bore you. I felt like I had a duty to tell you all this. Thank you so much for your useful knowledge you share with us.
