Since Saturn and the North Node have been in Scorpio for a while, and Mercury is now retrograding through Scorpio getting ready to meet the Sun in the coming Inferior Conjunction on Nov 1-2, today we’re taking another look at what deeper connections and rejections we may be feeling.
The North Node has been in Scorpio since August 2012. That means we’ve been learning through Scorpio things, and “showing what we know” through Taurus, the sign of the South Node. Saturn entered Scorpio in October 2012, beginning the restructuring of the Scorpio parts of our inner and outer life.
Both of these Scorpio influences work slowly over time. The first continues to pull us magnetically to general growth via Scorpio experiences. The second compels us to learn good Scorpio behavior through confronting fears and limitations related to Scorpio, such as going deeper, feeling more intensely, how we deal with death and loss, and shared values and resources. While North Node in Scorpio shows us which toxic feelings we need to eliminate, demonstrated through expressing what is natural and enjoyable to us, Saturn in Scorpio shows us how to restructure our magnetism so we find a deeper connection with All-That-Is.
Our inner Saturn assists us in taking command of our lives, through our response-ability to determine for ourselves which of our duties and roles are still viable and which are not. Through Saturn we take command of “the Great Vehicle” and become the Eternal Love-Wisdom-Intelligence we always are as a living force in our world. Saturn helps us integrate our personality over time, through seeing how we have the power to throw off chains of mental and emotional slavery.
Now that Mercury is retrograde in Scorpio and again begins to form a conjunction with Saturn, the Sun, and the North Node, it’s a great time for growth through shining a new light in how we look at old losses, deaths, and defeats, so we can understand why those things had to pass, and seeing how those voids attracted what was more perfect for our evolved state. Or if they haven’t, why not?
These transits are helping us all to practice patience, self-discipline, and maturity in dealing with our desire nature, and through these virtues we can see old frustrating experiences that left us in discontent in a new light related to our long wave evolution. And of course, these Scorpio transits are affecting everyone with a planet in Scorpio, whether natal or progressed.
So besides taking a new look and perhaps finding a new way to view and interpret any relatively recent losses and deaths in our lives, there are even deeper patterns residing in entire generations that are available for reconsideration during this Scorpionic time of growth through looking back, or seeing the potential of fulfillment rather than the old stuck unsatisfying patterns.
Tomorrow I’ll discuss how different generations are being affected by these transits.

Hi Robert--you said tomorrow you'll write about different generations and current transits-----could you include some earlier generations than you have cited in the past?---I was born in 1940 and miss the specifics for my generation
Thanks for all the work you do, it is greatly appreciated

Hi Polly - Thanks for giving me an opportunity to explain. I actually do include all generations since 1925-30 whenever writing about long wave generational influences. It's just some important influences bypass certain signs, for better or worse. The only reason any generation is left out is if the principle or transit does not apply to them.
In this set, part 2 will cover only those with Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, or Pluto in Scorpio, since those are generational influences. If you're not in that group, (1940 had none of those positions) then there won't be much that applies to you or anyone born around that time of the century. However, depending on your knowledge of the craft, if you have a planet in Scorpio you will be able to extrapolate a lot of meaning on a personal level from whatever is written about the generational planets. And from time to time I try to write about an influence EVERYBODY feels to whatever degree, like the articles about Saturn conjunct the various Pluto generations of everyone on Earth.

Hi Robert, thanks again as always, for you valuable and tireless work that provides inspiration and guidance to millions!
I'm curious about something though... normally your analysis tends to be of the "meta/macro" variety, though recently (not sure if it's due to a Scorpionic zeitgeist or not) you've hinted at some psychological aspects. It's this that I'm curious about... How do we relate/understand astrology from the perspective of an individual's psychology? I understand that this is a "huge" question, though it seems fundamental, and so I'm curious if you could share some of your inexhaustible wisdom in this regard...?
Thanks!
Best,
JP
