This is a brief look at something that is important if we’re not to be surprised by life events.
It was a response to a client who was trying to figure out what to do in a crucial area of life. I told her that I believe we must position ourselves for the future we want to be living. What’s happening now is the result of the past, and how we respond to life’s challenges and opportunities now profoundly affects our future.
Life is like an ocean liner –it doesn't change course very easily or quickly. And it’s important to remember that if we’re sailing from New York, a minor adjustment at the beginning of the journey determines whether we land in London or Africa. That’s why we cannot afford to neglect our view of what could be while being distracted by the current results of past actions and inactions.
I once read something to the effect that it's not really "survival of the fittest" as much as "survival of those who learn to think in the future." If we don't see a future, then what usually happens is pretty random, and patterns don't change unless we change them.
The most successful buggy works in 1910 became irrelevant by 1920 unless they adapted their products to meet the demand of the automobile industry. The most successful burlesque halls of 1920 went down the tubes by 1930 unless they adapted to the demands of the movie industry. Once the jet engine was developed in the early 40s, all the airline industries had to adapt or else go out of business.
When we learn to “think in the future,” then we will be alert to changing demands, and can adapt appropriately to outer circumstances. So begin to imagine what could be, and what you need to do to prepare for what is as yet down the road.
By cultivating an attitude of receptivity, and paying attention to both inner and outer signs and signals of the patterns that are leaving and coming, we can learn what we need to in order to anticipate various futures. Then as the outer and inner circumstances begin to come together, we’ll know what to do and when.
Remember – it’s not “Survival of the Fittest.” It’s “Survival of those who learn to think in the future.”

Hi Robert,
I havn't been online properly in a while but I have an important question and this article presents me with the oppertunity,it is concerning the cult of ascended masters and their connection to us in the now...in short can it be trusted? I realise this is a broad subject and I may do well to simply book a call with you but any brief stance on the subject for now would be appreciated.

Your motto is much easier to follow than the vaguer, more familiar one.
Thanks as always for your keenness and optimism.

Hi Marie - Having participated in the "Great Work" for over 40 years, I can definitely state a) if the Masters were eternal, they are eternal, and b) very, very few who purport to speak for the Masters actually do so. If there is glamor, separateness, promotion of selfish or narrow interests, or it doesn't serve the need of humanity, then it's not the Masters. There's a lot more but this is not the place. And yes, I do know something about these things. Email me sometime with more that has grabbed your attention.
Hi Roberta - You got it. Balance, balance, balance!
Hi Sherry - You're most welcome.

As one who is trained all my life to be as clear a channel as possible for the many in the unseen world, and that takes a lot of work to "clear" ones own mind clutter and get "ones own mind out of the way" I can honestly say, that a few times my mind has been "touched" by a "Master" or " Angelic messenger/healer in the spirit world, very briefly, moreso I have been priviledged with the guidance of others somewhere on a particular "line" from one of them closer to my state of mind at the time. Thus I agree with Robert, there may be a few who actually are so enlightened in their own lives they are able to be priviledged with such direct communication, yet it is a "like attracts like" priciple, thus ones mind or channel is required to be as "masterful" to be in direct constant contact with a Master, or Angel. I do respect the respectful "Master worshippers" in their beliefs and mostly they pass on very encouraging and uplifting guidance, however that clear mind also requires humility and lack of ego, thus if in that state, they are unlikely to be boastful of such a connection themselves? Those most genuine may have others reporting on this priviledged connection, they themselves are unlikely to unless guided to do so in order to "get through to someone" requiring that information.
Sorry bit of a long spiel, it does however come under my area and I am very passionate about helping others who are interested or questioning this area to have more "spiritual/earthly" intergrated information, than a lot of the ego/fear based controlled information of the past, especially with the change of energy and the spirit world and its abundance of resourceful information, more at the disposal of everyone. It is what I am asked to speak publicly about the most. Namaste

Thankyou so much also Debbie your words make sense so I am probably still in the fearbased vibration that is strangling the town I live in!! Another year ahead to see shat unfolds.
