Rockin’ on down through the holidays, Time to strut, stroll, move and groove with the best!
There’s more than one tune with this name, done in more than one way. Tonight we celebrate several by the cream of the crop!
Here’s Shirley and Lee live on the Midnight Special in 1974 doing their smash 1956 hit “Let the Good Times Roll” (His hot pink outfit was something else!)
Going way back, here’s a live clip of Louis Jordan cranking out his version of the classic version of "Let the Good Times Roll"
And here’s the great BB King following suit from Italy in 1989 with his live performance of the Ray Charles/Quincy Jones version of “Let the Good Times Roll”
Check out Stevie Wonder live offering up “Let the Good Times Roll”
From 1989, the Grateful Dead performing their arrangement of the Sam Cooke classic “(Let the) Good Times (Roll)”
Now, the Cars doing their version of “Let the Good Times Roll”
Here’s Dr. John funking out on “Let the Good Times Roll”
Speaking of getting down with the blues, here’s the legendary Koko Taylor taking us to church as we “Let the Good Times Roll”
We’ll close this dance with the song that opened it up in 1956, “Let the Good Times Roll”
All night long!

"Laissez les bons temps rouler" oui, merci. May we enjoy the moon & planetary action (nicely generically positive, as you reveal in your most recent posts) with thanks to the ancestors of us all, and all freedom fighters past and present.
