It’s Our Saturday Night Attitude Dance! – There’s Only ONE Song Possible for Tonight!

February 9, 1964, the world changed forever, thanks to Ed Sullivan and 4 young men from Liverpool. All 73 million of us who watched them that night knew something major had happened…..

Our Saturday Night Attitude tune was being played non-stop on just about every pop radio station in America on February 9. It spent 7 solid weeks at number one, to be replaced by “She Loves You” for 2 weeks, which was followed by “Can't Buy Me Love” for 5 straight weeks. At one point, they had 7 in the Top Ten, including all 5 of the top spots, a record never matched since.

The Beatles said they threw everything into this song, from brilliant harmonies to hand claps to a very catchy rhythm. So for your enjoyment, the song that made America fall in love with the Beatles! Rather than just give you the studio version, I found a great live performance of the tune on the Morecambe and Wise television show on April 18, 1964, so for your enjoyment, time to twist! “I Want To Hold Your Hand”

The whole Beatles magic can be seen and sensed by the impact of the Pluto/Uranus conjunction sextile Neptune taking place in those times. The entertainment industry for popular culture was changed forever and its long term cultural aspects for many decades if not longer after this mid 60s pop music phenomenon.

Personally, I really love the material they did as more of a studio band from about 1966 onwards, very cutting edge at the time. Easy to do with the $ they were pulling in! George Martin, the producer was a master on the old 4 track recording technology they had back in those days.

I remember reading a Rolling Stones magazine interview that was republished years later with John Lennon after the group broke up, he was the first person to enlighten me on the possibilities of self transformation!
