This synthesizing, stabilizing, and creative-expressive Full Moon at 27 Aquarius-Leo will help us see how to take responsibility for our own transformative process as a spiritual discipline, along with staying focused on keeping it simple and enjoyable. These two weeks we take the grace we’ve been generating since the last New Moon and express it in a new form of personal freedom.
At a Full Moon, that which has opened since the previous New Moon surfaces in a public form, and heads toward the culmination and fruition symbolized by the second half of any cycle. First half, birth into form and field. Second half, culmination and completion of the purpose of that cycle.
That’s why it’s important to regard the New and Full Moon charts as “God’s Footprints in Time,” since one follows the other in an unending sequence of births of newer and newer seeds. The New Moons show us the seeds that will flourish under the reflected light of the Full Moon.
Full Moons heighten feelings, due to the opposition of the Moon and the Sun. This particular Lunation has two other oppositions, one of which was in effect last Full Moon, and is exact now. The new one involves Moon opposed Mercury, while the other is the exact Jupiter opposed Pluto. Pay attention to the Jupiter opposition Pluto energies, since it’s part of a major ongoing lesson we’re all learning through April 2014.
We first experienced Jupiter opposition Pluto from July through September, with the exact opposition at 10 Cancer-Capricorn in early August. The 31 January 2014 opposition at 13 Cancer-Capricorn was the second in the set. The third and final opposition will be the most powerful, when we demonstrate how well we’ve learned the lessons of this extreme oppositional energy.
The third opposition will fall exactly at the point of what I have termed “The Great Fracturing” of April 14-24. This span will have several periods that will be extraordinarily difficult due to very tight Grand Cardinal Cross. That opposition will happen at 14 Cancer-Capricorn, when Jupiter is conjunct the Star Sirius, the “Sun of our Sun,” and source of all the Ageless Wisdom Traditions on our planet. You can find out more about Sirius by taking a new look at Mercury Stationary Direct Affecting July, August, September, and October 2013 – Finding Timeless Truths, Fearlessness, and Our Spiritual Source
I wrote a lot about Jupiter opposition Pluto last Summer in the various articles about the Cardinal T-squares and Grand Crosses, so if you want to know more, please visit the archives to get a sense of what this long wave opposition is all about. You can also understand more by revisiting the articles on the Merkaba events of that time.
Jupiter to Pluto can be a beneficial opposition due to Mars tredecile Jupiter, and the Moon opposed Mercury retrograde conjunct the Sun is made extremely productive and harmonizing through the very favorable Moon sextile to Mars and the Sun and Mercury trine Mars. Since Mars is tredecile Jupiter, it makes Mars a very favorable planet for the next two weeks, even if it is slowing and will go retrograde at 28 Libra on March 1, 8:24 am PST, 4:24 pm Greenwich.
With Mars unafflicted, it should be a great time of using the balance, harmony, and elegance of Mars in Libra to good effect. That’s a very good thing, given Jupiter is still driving the Cardinal T-square through the opposition to Pluto and square to Uranus, continuing to challenge our sense of perspective, rhythm, and proportion in our responses to life.
Due to the presence of Pluto in the T-square, the energies are volatile, may be experienced as inharmonious, and both echoes and releases energy related to past cardinal T-squares over the past 3+ years. It will be most challenging to those born the first week of April, July, October, and January, as well as those with planets or angles between approximately 9-14 degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn.
The good news is that this T-square can release a lot of pent-up energy, helping break log jams and stuck situations. It is especially good for those who are riding a wave of synthesis, having found a new experience of grace since the last New Moon. As with last month, lessons around these opposition involve taking a new look at opportunities that may not be opportunities and keeping everything open and above board. This one is slightly different in that it challenges us to find ways and means of self-transcendence.
We are offered a new look and a new understanding on things in the recent past, along with new insights into how we’ve changed our daily living patterns since last Summer. That the T-square is part of a larger Octile configuration indicates a lot of tension, both internal and external, prodding us to move forward while stabilizing a greater vision and more authentic self-expression. Jupiter’s natural caution in Cancer serves us as we learn to navigate the Saturn in Scorpio flow with patience, discipline, and a long range plan.
Dispositors - What's the Backdrop to the Energies?
The Moon in Leo is ruled by the Sun, while the Sun is ruled by Saturn in worldly affairs and Uranus in spiritual matters. This makes the Fire and Air elements loom large in how the Moon expresses itself, with a very intense feeling backdrop to the Sun.
In this chart, most of the planets are ruled by the chain of dispositors involving Venus in Capricorn, Saturn in Scorpio, and Mars in Libra, ruled by Venus. So Jupiter is ruled by the Moon, creating one closed circuit, and as usual, Neptune in Pisces is its own dispositor, though it does have some mutual influence with Jupiter. You can find more about dispositors by going to Astrology Class – What Is A Dispositor and What Is Mutual Reception Between Two Planets?
Even though this chart is technically a See-Saw Jones Pattern, the emphasis shifts with the Moon’s sign changes. Due to Saturn being a dispositor of the Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Pluto, and Saturn being one of the Water anchors for the off-again, on-again Splay and Bucket configurations that come into play depending on the Moon’s sign position, it intensifies the prominence of Scorpio energies. We continue to be put in touch with a deeper reality, or a deeper feeling of connection with others as well as our own emotional depth.
As noted in part 1, we’re in for a few months when the Grand Irrationality is in full play due to Saturn occupying the Scorpio zone of this configuration. Later in this article I’ll give you a link that will take you to a recent article that elaborates on the phenomenon, as well as the hot zones that trigger these choices, changes, and events that mark forks in the road of destiny across many areas of our lives.
The tide of Jupiter trine Saturn during the last half of 2013 offered us all a quickened current that is taking us somewhere. Overall this has been a time of quickened flow, emotional intelligence, and a new stability that will be with us for years. We have been experiencing our Soul promptings more acutely since last Summer, and found deep feelings and necessary structuring. As Jupiter is about to go direct at the same time Saturn goes retrograde, we are about to move through the third time of Water trines that will stabilize whatever emotional intelligence we’ve developed these past 9 months.
The Sabian Symbols for the Full Moon
This Full Moon falls at 27 Leo-Aquarius. It is said that the last third (decan) of any sign deals with the mental-spiritual levels of life, and being the last decan of those signs, invokes a sub-influence of Aries and Libra.
Since the Moon always focuses the light of the Sun in specific forms, the degree symbols for both are important. The Sun degree is the illumination or enlightenment of the Lunation, whereas the Moon shows us the potential forms that enlightenment will take. Though I’ve given you a sense of what this is about up to now, here’s where we go into detail.
The Solar degree symbol for the 27th degree of Aquarius is "An ancient pottery bowl filled with violets.” In the original notes from the Marc Jones class on the symbols, Rudhyar ways this is a degree of “Reality of spiritual or esthetic values, linking generations to seekers for the highest” and “addition or commitment to value.”
He goes on to say in The Astrological Mandala that this refers to “the importance of traditional skills and artistic values deeply rooted in man’s instinctive feelings as frames of reference for man’s most authentic emotions.” He states this degree is one of “personal reticence and a simple love of natural beauty,” as well as “modesty and humility,” and concludes that here “we see pictured the dependence of the purest feelings of natural living upon the traditions within which they find their most adequate and effective setting,” demonstrating “delicacy of feeling.”
So the illumination available via this Full Moon is through the light of a delicacy of feeling that adds to something, or commits to something of greater value. This degree falls in the Span of Perspective, and is the counterpoint degree in the Scene of Management on the individual-mental level of the Act of Capitalization.
Dr. Marc E Jones, creator of the Sabian Symbols, says this is a degree of “the permanence or changelessness of the real as an ultimate assurance to the human heart,” where no matter how much things shift in our lives, we can always find objects symbolizing “an enduring stability on which the ephemeral and the superficial are unable to make any impact.”
He continues that “where there is replacement of substance and variety of structure there is also an overall continuance of meaning and identity in which self may anchor itself.” He offers us the keyword TRADITION. He states that when operating in a positive manner, this degree is “a high realization of values and a real gift for using them.”
So this is a degree of learning to honor those “tokens” of meaning that show us enduring values that inspire deeper and more refined feelings to achieve a greater management of our individuality. Follow the greater perspective, the larger vision of who you are within the collective field, and find those eternal values within that are impervious to “the ephemeral and superficial.”
The Lunar degree symbol for the 27th degree of Leo is “Daybreak.” In the original Jones class notes, Rudhyar says this is a degree of the “transforming power of creating impulses as they bring ideas to concrete manifestation,” “stirring to opportunity,” and “Soul power.”
In the Astrological Mandala, he goes on to say that this degree symbolizes “the exalting challenge of new opportunities at the threshold of a new cycle.” We are told this marks “the real beginning of the new period of activity,” marking a point where we’ve had the “peak experience” and now we begin to ground it in action.
He states that this symbol shows us the promise for the future, and that this “dawning of a new day” requires a pure heart and a clear mind, leading us to forms of illumination. He says this degree falls in the Span of Interpretation, Act of Stabilization, and Scene of Release on the Individual-Mental level.
Dr. Jones says this is a degree of “the cycles of change as an ultimate assurance to the human heart,’ whereby reason is the means through which we can know “the nature of (our) own continuance.” He says that regardless of the unpredictability of life, “there is always dawn or springtime as the promise of resurgence or a new potential” in our lives in the here and now.
He gives us the keyword GENESIS. He states that when operating in a positive manner, this degree is “an untiring capture and recapture of life throughout the constant and confusing shifts of being.
From these symbols it seems we can use the Light of a new dedication and commitment to take shape in a new day dawning in our lives and activities. Here the Light of a higher dedication requiring management skills takes form in releases of creativity, authenticity, and personal projection of self into what we can embrace.
As with the last several Full Moons, important transformations helping us see a deeper Mystery are evoked by this Lunation. This calls us to a greater empathy and ability to know shared feelings, and continues to educate us in an emotional understanding we’ve experienced since June. As usual, just keep moving with the flow, don’t try to push the river, and go deeper in your inner and outer feeling connections.
Learn to trust the process, and trust in your ability to navigate these currents as you embrace a new life. This feeling magnetism is showing us who are part of our Soul-group.
TransPluto, Divine Mother, Neptune, and the Polarization in the Collective Atmosphere
One important thing to note. In the Full Moon charts of 2009-2012, Neptune was in a very close opposition to TransPluto, the planet symbolizing Divine Mother Energy. That a factor in why things have been so polarized the past several years, teaching humanity compassion and the need for Viveka, or Divine Discrimination. This has offered all of us opportunities to join together in the Great Mother and realize our interrelatedness on a feeling level with All-That-Is.
The energies of Divine Mother will only grow stronger throughout this century, and these will be demonstrated each time the planets make significant aspects to TransPluto. In this chart TransPluto occupies the first degree of Virgo, showing us the long term future of humanity. Again, the Divine Redeemer is showing us ways to show Viveka through understand the place and function of individual differences.
A brief note on the larger Era. We approach the end of the TransPluto (Percephone, Parvati) in Leo era that we’ve known since September 20, 1935. Since October, 2011, we’ve been a transition period where this planet will dance at the last degree of Leo and first degree of Virgo through July 5, 2014.
So enjoy this penultimate period before the transition to a different transitional Era. After then we enter the TransPluto in Virgo era that will last through July, 2107, when it leaves Virgo for good and re-enters Libra for the last time, also after a few years of dancing on the cusp of Virgo and Libra.
As the Lunation articles have grown to impossible lengths, I’m again trying to find ways to trim them and reposition some of the material to make it easier to digest. So this closes part 2 on this Full Moon. Part 3 will cover important chart factors, New Moon themes, Jones Patterns and more, so I’ll see you soon!

... It's was my birthday at 7:15 pm Est. The Sun at 26 degrees 14 minutes Aquarius. My birthday wish is to ask for all of your followers, Robert, for their prayers and healing thoughts for my 3 yr old grandson who drowned on Jan 19th. Jett, was dead for 25 minutes but fought to come back into this dimension to be with us, while in the ER. We were told by the doctors that he would probably not survive. BUT HE HAS! and he's making "miraculous" progress as even the doctors are saying. A strong little Sagittarius . "Don't ever tell one of these natives, that they... can't!" and he has an Aries ascendent! ... he's a tough little fighter. In the collective power of the human spirit, would you rally with me and my family...friend me on facebook at Bruce Kaiser and you will see Jett. Please join in a "healing" manifestation for this beautiful little spirit. My sincere gratitude, thank you and Godbless, Robert. Your follower and friend, BK...

Hi Carmen - Just letting my "inner pirate" out for a stroll! ;-) Sometimes fingers fly through ideas and they do what they want. Thanks for the catch.
Hi caliban - Yes, rocking on one or two times today at the Tucson Gem Show!!
Hi BK - Already done over at FB, my Brother. Blessings on his return! Those of us who have had NDE or OOB experiences are never the same. He is obviously a Plutonic being who chose to come back. I have no doubt his chart is exceptional, intense, and cuts him loose from a lot of lesser things this lifetime. Speaking as a member of the Grandfathers for 17+ years, you are a very fortunate man. As a friend put it, blessings be!!

I was born on the cusp, between Aries/Taurus. (Sun in Aries 29 degrees). April 20,1959, 1:20am., Milwaukee,WI. I feel as though something BIG/ HUGE is coming up soon, but I can't quite put my finger on what that something is, ( just a feeling, I guess). If you could offer me any enlightenment on my transients taking place right now, I'd be most grateful. Marianne T.
