This irritating, releasing, productive, stabilizing, and interactive Full Moon at 27 Aquarius-Leo pushes and pulls us into seeing our freedom in action, feeling, and thought. Get rid of old ideas, old views, and old interpretations! New yearning, new striving for “distant cities” with imagination can help us all reclaim something we thought was lost!
Important Chart Factors
Many are finding a new stability or new sense of permanence wherever they have Scorpio in their chart. However, others are being forced to confront various life voids, and learning to “hold the empty space” to get a better sense of the limits and possibilities of their magnetism. As Saturn is fully in the Scorpio zone of the Grand Irrationality, humanity will again confront radical forks in the road of destiny that will be determined by their decisions, actions, and non-actions.
Jupiter at 12 Cancer offers us another look at a Mystery, or Revelation, we’ve been feeling since August 2013 related to what nourishes or sustains us. Don’t clutch as you move deeper into something you’ve been feeling or experiencing since then, and allow a greater sense of your Eternal Nature to infuse your personality. Here personality integration is the solution to the issues of self-transcendence.
This is almost the end of the second of three phases in the process of taking a new look at our conception of what success might look like, and putting ourselves out so that others can see and applaud our talents. We’re still in an active process of personality integration through the house that Jupiter is transiting in our charts. This process will move through a critical phase in April 2014, with our “final exam” in May, June, and early July.
Mars shows that it’s time to get above the dualities and push-pull of worldly things, while continuing to do repair or reconstruction work that has its roots in late 2011 through October 2012. This period will help us stabilize our Mars function through a solid understanding of “right proportion” or “right perspective,” or perhaps show us the way toward a fair, elegant, refined, or balanced way of doing things.
I touched on the importance of Saturn in the Scorpio zone of the Grand Irrationality in part one of this Full Moon series. There may be a need to see loss and death in terms of the power it provides us to regenerate, and many will come to a deeper understanding of the permanent spiritual factors in their existence, as well as a deeper courage that will never desert them.
This period when the Scorpio zone of the Grand Irrationality has been and continues to be triggered, shows that everyone will go through important releases of energy, people, and elements that would prevent them from being the spiritual potential they hold in the depths of their Being. This is a threshold, and some people cannot go through it with us, nor can we cross their threshold with them. So let go, let God, and show your stuff with focus and compassion. The experiment nears completion!
Spirit walks with this configuration, as well as any major septile series aspect between the planets. The choices we make as a result of these non-rational aspects show us our “direction of destiny,” and determines if the Spirit will grow stronger and closer with you, or if you will move in directions away from Spirit. Given that most of this community is intentionally trying to live in harmony with Life, Nature, and each other, chances are that whatever you – yes, YOU the reader – are confronting will show you a deeper, richer, more powerful Spiritual life. Which is a good thing.
So Just What Was the New Moon Theme for this Period?
Remember that the qualities of the Full Moon express whatever new directions we were shown at the previous New Moon. You will recall that its theme is related to new ways of using imagination and times of retreat from the world to get a new inspiration, with the on-going pressure of the intense Cardinal T-square blowing a lot apart for everyone.
There were hard adjustments to be made in terms of working, taking care of details, combining imagination and engineering, and trusting our bodily wisdom as we are stirred up to new forms of love. Though there is a sense of some things being “put on hold,” it’s helped to serve our need to get a “valid historical perspective,” seeing what’s important and letting go of nonessentials. And of course, due to Saturn’s influence in all Lunations at this time, the Grand Irrationality is center stage in all our lives, as well as the world at large!!
This New Moon in Aquarius was airy, idealistic, detached, future-oriented, and has helped us all to see our past differently. We took a new look at old feelings, old likes, and old experiences, and through seeing to the core, purified our view. We are definitely being challenged to update our perceptual files, and not base our understanding on old or obsolete information. And due to the T-square, we continue to have to find balance, harmony, and the right perspective on everything that is under pressure in our lives.
Due to Jupiter’s continued occupation of Cancer, we continue to understand how we’re dealing with our Cancer issues put into play last Summer, since much related to those sign energies and issues came to the surface when the Sun was in Capricorn. Basically, are you caring for yourself and whatever life you embraced back then? Does it align with your purpose and ability to serve your world a better way than in the past?
The Aquarius seed indicated by this New Moon can help us have a new understanding and inspiration related to a higher Grace and a larger dedication. Because Saturn is the dispositor of both this New Moon in Aquarius and the last one in Capricorn, the backdrop to the lessons involve a sense of responsibility or a challenge to accept personal power related to the very heavy, deep feelings we’ve all been navigating thanks to the recent transits in Scorpio, including the very powerful Solar Eclipse set into motion several months ago. We’ve already begun to focus our magnetism on what we want and what we don’t.
Due to the continued importance of both Saturn and North Node in Scorpio, we continue to “shed skins” in a process that we began at last year’s Solar Eclipse in Scorpio. The recent one reinforced this Scorpio focus, helping us let go of echoes of memories of perceptions by taking a new look at what we used to believe. This was another “gain through loss” Eclipse, so have faith, go deeper, and still your mind so you can receive impressions from higher planes.
The Scorpio focus for the past 1+ year is helping us intensify our striving in structured ways so we can unveil the life Mystery we’ve been chasing for quite a while. This helps us get a broader view of the potential of last Spring’s new initiatives. It’s also helping us see a) how we have shifted our magnetism on relationships since then, and/or b) how we need to find a new view or way of understanding the losses and eliminations of the past we’ve been through. Now we’re flowing into a long wave period of finding the right focus to bring forth a higher way to be with other.
In past Full Moon articles I included a page or more lifted from the articles on the previous New Moon. Since I am trying to shorten the articles for readability, I will no longer lift whole sections from those articles. Instead, please go back to part 1 of this Full Moon series where you will find links to those New Moon articles. They will help you understand the themes for this Full Moon period.
Jones Patterns and Element Balance
The planets in this chart modify the ongoing Bucket Jones pattern, making it into a modified See Saw. The Moon and Jupiter show the axis of oppositions defining the See Saw. However, it’s only a See Saw during the time the Moon is between Gemini and Leo, since when it’s between Virgo and the following Taurus, we revert back to the Bucket. Since the “handle” of the Bucket involves the sign Cancer, that energy helps us focus even during these See Saw periods.
This See Saw Jones pattern is defined by the Libra, Scorpio, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, and Aries energies on one side opposing Jupiter in Cancer and the Moon in Leo. Where a See Saw pattern is present, stay focused and balanced at the center while taking note of the periphery of things, and don't get off on a tangent or limb. This offers a need to be able to see both sides of any given thing, especially where there are opposing trends or views. The strength is in an ability to triangulate to angles of approach beyond the polarity that allows for progress and understanding.
With 3 planets in Water, 3 in Air, 2 in Earth, and 2 in Fire we have an emphasis on feelings and relatedness, but overall there’s a good balance. Since Air and Earth are “cool” elements and Fire and Water are “hot” elements, there will be a balance regarding these qualities, even as the Water and Air elements come to the forefront of this period.
More on how Uranus Square Pluto Is Ramping Up Radical Energies!
As I’ve mentioned off and on over the past 3+ years, we’re all learning to manage the “out of control” energies of Uranus square Pluto. I’ve discussed this aspect at length over quite a few articles in the archives. Use the site google box to find out more about this years’ long disruptive revolutionary influence. Welcome to the 21st century of upheaval, transformation, and titanic collisions between a new world being born and an old age that’s digging in even as it’s dying.
That square represents the ongoing revolution of our times, with innovations and pioneering energies in conflict with restrictive and controlling power structures. We’ll be dealing with this for a few years, and it promises to make this year and next very “electric and eclectic,” moving the world through a revolution unlike any seen since the 1960s!!
Uranus is still on its stationary direct degree showing us how to learn techniques of concentration so we can see the whole picture to things. This will help us honor our inner guidance, and know how to “take advantage of all the factors” in any given situation so that we have more assurance in knowing how to make the correct decision in circumstances. This finishes the immediate focus on these themes as we continue to synthesize these skills while moving into new realms of self-expression.
As usual, beware of those who are impatient, since explosiveness is in the air due to this square. Again, the T-square with Uranus as the driver throws the void into Libra, showing we need balance and a sense of perspective and proportion as we move into pioneering realms of self-sufficiency. Use the Aquarius Sun and Mercury to keep synthesizing a view of a bigger picture of your unique part to play since this cuts us loose into new ways of expressing individuality.
As I noted in past Lunation articles, we’re now moving into a different social orientation for many years, so continue to learn how to concentrate to see the whole picture, as this shows us how to externalize our higher Self in new individual ways. It was the major theme for 2013, and given the aspects in play in this chart, we are now moving forward productively to stabilize the next chapter in our evolving emotional intelligence.
Pluto has now finished its time teaching us harmlessness, kindness, and magnetism that brings forth a more gentle set of interactions through the deeper transformations going on in our lives. This Lunation shows us another way of embracing the feeling and experience of that emergent transformational role we accepted 2009-2010. Keep purifying yourself in every way, since the less sludge we carry forward the lighter and freer we’ll feel.
We have now been guided through deep experiences that taught us how to get beyond fear, see things from the past differently, and find relief through expressing the Higher Self that’s been “cut and polished” in past months. We can grow into a greater power when we’re confronted by old Pluto roles, coercions, and heavy-handed corrosive behavior. We can use the square between Uranus and Pluto in two big ways, both now and into the future.
We can exercise good Pluto function to put the brakes on negative Uranian manifestations, and good Uranus function to put the brakes on negative Pluto manifestations. Look to the harmonizing aspects to each to show which is building and which one is the release point for those energies. In this chart, Uranus is specializing many things in everyone’s lives, so go with the new rather than the established.
What's the proper sequence at present of deciding, feeling, and thinking, and an Overview of the Lunation
This Full Moon is stabilizing and expressive, showing us our freedom to be as we need to be, commit to what we want to commit to, and through taking an unusual view or reviewing old realizations, we can “graduate into a new realm of being.” We continue to find a deeper faith in our individual Self and process as we release elements of our lives that no longer suit our magnetic needs. As a process of moving through events, get clear about what you feel and why you feel it, and then decide what has to be done, and then go do it! After the decision and/or action, then get a new vision, a new understanding, or a new way of seeing things.
So follow your feelings into that which quickens or accelerates your ability to rise to the occasion or challenge within a greater group effectiveness, and then make a decision or do an action in alignment with that feeling or experience. After feeling your way into that decision or action, then allow a new understanding, communication, or knowledge that will lead to the next experience. In any case, do not cling to old or obsolete interpretations, understanding, or vision. Update your perceptual files, or your understanding.
So this is a Lunation indicating that we’ll lead with our feelings, hunches, or experience, which will result in a decision and/or action. Then we need to move into a new understanding or vision, which will in turn lead to a new depth feeling or experience followed by new decisions and actions that should yield a new understanding.
This continues to help us eliminate (with some irritation and force!) all we no longer want to carry in our emotional field while helping us find a clear understanding of why we’ve been learning to have courage, and how to express it, over these past two weeks. With Jupiter, Saturn, and Neptune in the three Water signs, we are in a time of an incredible amount of feeling energy, and continue to have opportunities to practice the emotional intelligence and “feeling-knowing” that has emerged over the past 15 months. Even if this period puts us under pressure to make critical decisions, the flow will lead us exactly where we need to be.
While it may feel like there’s a hard edge to circumstances over the next two weeks, these choices have been months in the making. This period will give many unique gifts to some, and unique circumstances perfect for our gifts for others. This one helps us move through unsettling conditions into a greater view of our transformational process and potential.
This one helps us see patterns from a transcendent angle of the dawning of a new day. This can give us a bigger synthesized picture in ways that are personally meaningful to us. Take a look at how to achieve a more fluid balance in your expression, allow yourself to assume greater responsibilities that prepare you for what’s coming, and feel relieved that you’ve mastered discouragement. Yes, it’s self-transcendence time!
As I’ve noted in previous Full Moon articles, since all shadows result from light hitting a dense object, it’s better to become as translucid as possible to dispel lurking shadows. And if you must look at the shadows, then refocus on the object being illuminated, since that’s the source of the shadow.
Find the correct 4 angles of illuminating whatever you want to focus on, and all shadows will be dispelled. Then you’re seeing things with an illuminated mind, and can act accordingly.
