At 7:57 am PDT, 3:57 pm BST, May 7, Mercury leaves Taurus and enters Gemini, one of the signs it rules.
That means after many months of a “round robin” chain of dispositors, we finally have one of the inner planets it its “home” sign. Usually that would make Mercury very powerful, but this May we also have Venus in Aries and Mars in Libra in a mutual reception. That puts the rulership of the planets across various unrelated signs, since these three plus Neptune are the final dispositors for everything they rule.
Then we continue with Jupiter in Cancer, which changes dispositors each time the Moon changes signs. So the planets at the present time require a balance between Venus in Aries and Mars in Libra, with Mercury and Neptune hanging out on their own, and Jupiter shifting energy every few days.
Mercury’s entry into Gemini also means that the houses and planets we have in Gemini and Virgo now will feel more Geminian than Taurean, even as we learn good balance and staying on focus despite interruptions promised by Venus opposition Mar. That opposition puts the ruler of our Taurus and Libra planets and houses opposed to the ruler of our Aries and Scorpio planets and houses.
At least we’ve already had numerous oppositions from planets in Aries to Mars, and this is the final one, which should bring finality and completion to this line of tension we’ve been dealing with for about 6 weeks. This should break a certain type of Venus/Mars tension, and since Mars is now speeding up gradually, expect things to take a turn for the better over the next few weeks.

I breathe easier when Mercury is in transit through Gemini as natal Gemini makes up a large part of my 8th house other than vertex in late Taurus, my 2nd house mainly Sag and same scenario unaffected by planetary bodies, plus also my merc is in 9th thus my whole mind feels cleaner and thinks clearer, so freer? or more at home? regardless of what else is going on in my venus ruled chart, currently a welcome breath of fresh air, as its also the only time I experience the restrictions of my Saturn in 3rd house the least and the changes dont seem to have affected this regular holiday from the depths :)
