wesak sounds like vaisakh festival of india except it is celebrated earlier under a different planetary alignment.

Hi Pallav - It's not the same thing. Vaisakh is the first lunar month of the Hindu calendar. Wesak is the Festival of the Full Moon of Sun in Taurus Moon in Scorpio celebrating the birth and enlightenment of the Buddha.

Hi Rob the first lunar month of Hindu calendar is Chaitra. Vaisakh is the second! So the similarity with Wesak is absolutely there since Buddhism is after all an offshoot of Hinduism!
