Astrology in August 2014 – Squares, A Finger of God, and the Grand Irrationality In Play Right Now!

The next few days we have several very important configurations in play. Some are creating a bit of gear grinding, some are showing us what to sacrifice so we can expand, and behind it all Jupiter is triseptile both Neptune and Pluto, triggering the Grand Irrationality showing major forks in the road of destiny for those affected!

For the next few days, we have Venus in Leo square Mars conjunct Saturn in Scorpio. This is making for some pretty jarring cross currents, with stubborn people not wanting to give an inch, and not much in the way of social grace. Mars conjunct Saturn in Scorpio is very powerful, and this square is no doubt affecting everyone with planets in the middle of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. That includes those born in early February, early May, early August, and early November.

Try to be detached, friendly, agreeable, pleasant, and keep it very simple while keeping your eyes on the big picture. Make sure you're using the right means to get to your desired ends, and keep things on track despite temporary interruptions.

Mars will soon be exactly conjunct Saturn, ending an old two year cycle and opening a new one. The past two years we’ve had to see that every ending held the promise of some sort of rebirth. The next two years we’ll know that we’ve done something well, and been transfigured as a result.

Over the next few days we also have Mercury in Virgo sextile Mars in Scorpio, with both quincunx Uranus. That makes for a “Finger of God,” or Yod, a configuration indicating multiple “expansion through sacrifice” energies in play, with Uranus as the nozzle.

Some things will have to be adjusted, corrected, and/or sacrificed to make it all more efficient. Withdraw with dignity when appropriate, or alternately, allow your “will to wholeness” to break up some old complex. This one will help us attain the next step in our process of individualization.

So Mars and Saturn will build productively via Mercury, and release via Venus. Uranus shows where we’re getting squeezed or focused. Then we add Jupiter, which has just finished its triseptile with Pluto, and is forming a triseptile to Neptune. That puts the Grand Irrationality into play, which I'll offer is behind most of the extreme weirdness that’s been happening globally these past few days.

It’s definitely a fork in the road of destiny for humanity, with fire bursting out wherever we have Leo in our charts. One thing to note is that the Venus square to Mars and Saturn in some way anticipates the coming Jupiter square Saturn, which will get closer over the next few months before it recedes once Jupiter goes retrograde later in the Autumn.

In any case, this weekend will bring turning points, sacrifices, adjustments, and cross currents. Again, stay detached, practice dispassion and simplicity, and see it all as learning “lessons of significant form” after feeling flooded with energy these past several weeks.

Yikes! Thanks for the advice in the last paragraph. I know we all signed up to be here at this particular time, but geez Louise, it does get a bit overwhelming at times. So grateful for your insights and advice on how to navigate the weirdness of it all.

so with the Yod, if Uranus is opposing ones moon, its going to boomerang it or project onto it,yes? would explain why i am suddenly feeling unwell, Uranus in my 6th...moon in 12th

Can always count on you to get perspective Robert of this ever changing world...easy enough those who adapt survive...those who make good choices revive...always a path before us every day but some days its a highway interchange and getting off to a major intersection when these days of "A Finger of God" lay down upon us. No, I'm not trying to get notoriety by responding...I just want you to know that I get it..."Grand Irrationality" ...its so in the air I can taste it! Could be my 14 Aries Jupiter and the 15 Cancer Saturn riding the waves of the recent past...gonna be my 14 Sagittarius MC lighting up the candle stick now with Uranus and its nozzle of glory...ooh its gonna get good.
