Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (28 August 1749 – 22 March 1832) is considered to be one of the greatest philosophers the Western world ever produced. This was always one of my favorite Goethe quotes, as it lays bare the essential quality to a more perfect self-expression.
For your consideration:
“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves too. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favor all manner of unforeseen incidents, meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamt would have come his way.”
Which is why we should never allow our limitations or fears to deflect us from a noble goal. You just never know what might happen if you get out of your own way....

Robert - thanks for reminding us of the wisdom of Goethe.
Another favourite quote from the great man, which is reflected in so many of the articles you've shared with us here on this site:
'Treat people as if they were what they ought to be, and you help them become what they are capable of being.'
