2015 continues a string of transformational years, with the Grand Irrationality in play, more aftershocks for all Cardinal signs thanks to Uranus square Pluto, and major shifts in elemental energy as Saturn moves back and forth between Scorpio and Sagittarius.
This will not be an exhaustive exploration of the year, but will focus on a few of the many important factors in play. I am still preparing class materials on 2015 – An Overview for All Signs which will include a syllabus of about 20 pages (or more) and powerpoint slides which will be available soon. As with last year’s exploration of 2014, it will be an in-depth look at the year that can help you navigate the various shifts in atmosphere we’ll encounter throughout 2015.
This year’s syllabus will be expanded in important ways and cover even more topics than I did in last year’s class. However, instead of introducing the materials at the class, those who request the materials will have a chance to study them before we do a webinar going into greater depth. The cost will be $40.
And now, a brief look at 2015!
After the preponderance of the Water (feeling) element 2013-2014, we’ve moved into a long term Fire (inspiration) era, with Jupiter, Saturn, and Uranus all in Fire signs until mid-June when Saturn slips back into Scorpio. Fire at the forefront should lighten and brighten many areas of life, even though by late June into July we’ll be confronting Jupiter square Saturn. That Fixed square will affect everyone with planets in late Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius, including those with birthdays in mid-February, mid-May, mid-August, and mid-November.
It’s also a dress rehearsal for the next Jupiter square Saturn occurring between February and June 2016, which will affect everyone with planets in mid-Gemini, mid-Virgo, mid-Sagittarius, and mid-Pisces. How well we are using our Jupiter and Saturn energies will determine how these squares manifest, but you can bet there will be gear grinding in the life areas (houses) these affect.
Saturn in early Sagittarius from January through mid-June doesn't quite get to the exact square with Neptune in Pisces, but it'll be close enough to give a dress rehearsal of this need for focus and discernment for those with planets or angles in early Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces, as well as those with birthdays in late February, late May, late August, and late November. The square will be in full expression from late September through late December, affecting this group of birthdays a second time!
Fire will diminish a bit once Jupiter enters earthy Virgo in mid-August, but Mars’ entry into Leo at the same time will keep the heart fires burning, along with the Sun in Leo and Venus retrograde in Leo! These hold the flame until Saturn re-enters Sagittarius in mid-September. So Fire really is the featured element for most of the year! This should be an inspirational year, and help us all get a sense of excitement at the possibilities.
Uranus in Aries square Pluto in Capricorn continues to put pressure on planets or angles we have in mid-Aries, mid-Cancer, mid-Libra, and mid-Capricorn, including those with birthdays in early January, early April, early July, and early October. These are long term pressures beyond individual control, and generally are challenging us to find balance, just conditions and views, moderation, and sensitivity to our needs and what we must gather to ensure our well-being.
2015 will be a year when many chickens come home to roost, for good or ill. While there may be delays, procrastination, and a tendency for larger issues to be deferred as long as possible, this year will see some exceptional people rise to the top as a result of embracing a larger role or dedication in 2013-2014. This year will test us in focusing power through positive initiatives and actions, and many fortunate links will be made between those who have chosen to individualize the past 4 years.
Mars moves from late Aquarius all the way to late Libra this year, showing the activation of past ideals and current collective likes and dislikes into new forms coming forth between late February and early April. Solid structures will be built in April and May as long as things don’t get inflated or exaggerated. May and June should be inventive and a time of discovery, with a very important Yod, or Finger of God, focused in early June involving Mars, Jupiter, and Pluto, with Pluto the nozzle. Heavy!
July will bring several aftershocks of the Great Fracturing that hit us multiple times the first half of 2014 (Maximum intensity between March and June 2014). How we play what comes up in July will be of extraordinary importance if we want to make progress in September. Again, figure out if you need to protect something or let it go. The questions to ask are “do I really need this?” and “do I really care about this?”
Venus and Mars do an interesting dance this year. The end of January shows Venus forming a conjunction with Mars, chasing it through Pisces, and finally making the exact conjunction at 2 Aries in late February. Venus then pulls ahead of Mars, ending the conjunction in mid-March. However, by May it begins to slow down, and in late July Venus goes retrograde at 1 Virgo.
After that it retrogrades back into Leo the last day of July, and by mid-August is forming a retrograde (inferior) conjunction with Mars in Leo. That conjunction is exact at 15 Leo on Sept 1, and shortly after Venus goes direct at 15 Leo. It then moves forward through Leo until early October, finalizing our Leo experiences of 2015.
While Mars’ transit through Leo will activate much of what has been promised by Jupiter during its time in Leo, Venus’ transit through Leo will bring substance to what’s been set into motion during the Jupiter in Leo, since it’s the last planet to move through that sign this year. The third and final conjunction between Venus and Mars in this series will happen at 25 Virgo in early November.
Much of what Jupiter in Leo has promised us since mid-July 2014 will move forward very quickly between April and August 2015, and activate in August and September. Efficiency and practicality are very high in September and October, followed by some weird echoes of December 2013 through July 2014 during November and December.
The year ends with some very powerful aftershocks of the Great Fracturing during the first half of December 2015. The active protection mechanisms set into motion in July will be of extraordinary value in December.
This year, all signs will go through pressure at several points. With so much Fire and Earth predominating throughout the year, it should be a time of practical inspiration, and inspired practicality. Since Saturn leaves Scorpio in September for the last time in the current era, face forward, since what is bound under pressure in Scorpio is liberated into newer, wider truths and potentials in Sagittarius.
And of course, the Grand Irrationality continues! The good news is that it will wane in intensity from here on, and by early 2018 will no longer trouble us as an active configuration, even if other planet configurations will put us all at forks in the road of destiny after that.
If you want to know more about the angles that create these critical forks in the road of destiny, please order a copy of my class on the Spiritual Aspects. Then you can apply that knowledge to the transits going on, and know ahead of time when crucial decisions will have to be made. So there you have it. This is just a small taste of the larger work in progress exploring 2015.
